Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2006 F350 - Clunk In Left Front End - Radius Arm Bushings Bad?
I drive a 2006 Ford F350 4x4 Crew Cab. I think the radius arm bushings on my truck are bad. I get a clunk going over bumps on the left side in the front end.
I'm assuming it is the bushing in the rear of the radius arm, but I haven't taken it apart yet because I want to have the parts in hand. I ordered a bushing, part number 5C3Z3B203AA. But it looks too small when I hold it up to it. What is the part numbers for the radius arm bushings?
Or am I looking at the wrong thing for the clunking in the front end? I just did the ball joints with Moog both sides top and bottom. The shock bushings look alright. I have replaced the front sway bar bushings thinking that was it. What else could it be?
Golf IV R32 :: Rear Sway Bar Bushings Squeak?
I'm pretty certain that my 22mm neuspeed sway bar bushings are shot. they squeak like crazy and when I looked at them to grease them up it looked like they had space, oh and they knock like crazy. Any better source or place to check locally? Would Napa carry something like this? and is Poly my only option? would a rubber bushing wear quicker?
View 3 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Removed Front Sway Bar Endlink / Double Clunk Noise Vanished
So I'm backing out of my driveway today and I hear the loudest (in one of my cars) double clunk noise ever, coming from the passenger side front. Turns out one of my kw v2's decided it wanted to try and come apart at that corner.
Note: I had one side on a jackstand and could not find the cause until I removed the front swaybar endlink. It was putting tension on the arm and not allowing the movement to be found.
The shock insert inside the coilover body was moving up and down about a 1/8 inch clunking at the top and bottom of its travel. This is the retainer that loosen causing the clunking. I found that the spanner wrench from my dewalt angle grinder, fit the retainer well enough to tighten it down snug.
Camry :: 2007 - Rear Sway Bar Bushings Replacement?
As a lot of Camry in this world, my rear sway bar bushings went bad. Tried to replace them, I went slowly with the ratchet on the first bolt as I don't want to go with the impact tool, but that damn bolt decided to break anyway...
I called my local dealer and he said he don't have the replacement in stock and he cannot tell me the size of this bolt.
What is the size? My 07 SE have the bracket with only two bolts.
Golf V R32 :: Clicking Noise While Turning Steering Wheel - Sway Bar Bushings?
Front sway bar bushings causing "clicking" noise while turning the steering wheel? Usually happens when I'm moving into or out of a parking spot and while I'm turning my steering wheel. I got the driver side, I believe, lower control arm replaced and after that i started getting a faint clicking noise when I'm turning the steering wheel.
The dealer, after multiple visits, discovered it's the front sway bar bushing causing the noise. They said it's really not worth the cost, since it's isn't a safety issue and the whole sway bar needs to be replace since you can't buy bushings alone. I want to get rid of the noise regardless of safety or not.
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Crunching Sound From Wheels - Suspension Or Sway Bar Bushings?
I have a 2009 Corolla S. When I drive on the highway and the road dips and then comes back up, I hear a crunching sound as the wheels come back up. It almost sounds like springs. I thought maybe it was the cold weather but it isn't. The sound is in the front end.
At 53,000 miles, it seems early for this kind of problem and I never have had this so early in the life of a car. I do have the Toyota Extended Warranty of 125000 miles and 8 years. Would this be covered under that?
It doesn't really happen over bumps, it's when the car dips down and comes back up on the highway...50 mph or more.
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Greaseable Sway Bar Bushings And End Links
I have a 2002 F350 4x4 CC 7.3 i am wanting to change the sway bar bushings front and rear to poly and I want greasable bushings to avoid the squeaking that you get with these bushings alot of the time. I would like to change the end links to poly too i realize these wont be greaseable. What was the outcome and where did you buy the bushings. What is the size of the front and rear sway bars and the length of the end links??

View 2 RepliesFord 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Thumping Noise That Generally Accompanies Worn Out Sway Bar Bushings
I have been having that nice thumping noise that generally accompanies worn out sway bar bushings. I did bushings last spring but a noise came back shortly thereafter. Finally got bothered enough/ found enough time to take a look at it and tracked it down to the sway bar again. My right front axle mount has taken damage before and is now all bent up, not allowing the bushing clamp to hold tight to the bushing. Pictures of the issue are below.
Front view of the entire mount.
Rear view showing the sway bar mount plate.
I am unsure what to do about this mount. As you can see it has been pretty messed up by the PO. What could be done to fix the issue?
Tiguan :: Front End Clunk / Knock / Loud Pop On Deceleration
The car: 2012 Tiguan SE 4mo (auto)
The noise: there is a loud pop/cluck/knock from the front drivers side footwell, can sometimes be felt in the pedals
When it occurs: Most frequently it occurs on deceleration. Letting off the gas, there is a slight delay then the noise. It doesn't happen every time. The intensity of it is very sporadic and unpredictable. In stop and go traffic, it is typically the worst, gently accelerate, let off the gas, loud clunk. During other normal driving, accelerate up to normal (55mph) speed, let off gas, quieter clunk, intermittent. Infrequently it makes the noise when I shift into reverse. I can also hear it faintly when i start the car sometimes.
There seems to be very little correlation to vehicle speed and the noise. It is typically louder at low.
Tiguan :: 2011 - Loose Clunk In Front Going Over High Frequency Bumps?
Have just picked up a 2011 Tiguan Highline, and there is a loose clunk in the front going over high frequency bumps in the road. I own a MKIV Jetta TDi and it feels similar to bad sway bar bushings on my MKIV, however it's not the bushings on the Tiguan.
I crawled underneath and tried to find looseness in the suspension with no luck. The sway bar end links seem tight (compared to the MKV Jetta I also have), and the strut mounts do not seem to be loose.
What I did find were some suspect control arm bushings. I'm new to suspension noises in this platform, our MKV has been flawless for the past 7 years. Could these worn bushings cause a loose clunk?
I also checked the subframe bolts and fuel lines that come up in common searches.
Tiguan :: 2010 WE - Control Arm Lower Bushings
Brought the Tig in for an oil change & while it was on the lift the tech noticed that the subject bushings are cracked/separating...Tig has about 43,400 mi...is this a common issue?
View 6 RepliesFord Excursion :: Sway Bar End Links / Loud Clunk
I've been having the loud clunk under the drivers side floor, that many others have as well. Did many hours of research and replaced the sway bar end links. Napa only had the left side in stock so I did it first last weekend and did the right side this weekend. One thing I noticed when doing the right side was the hole in the frame was all wallowed out. Drilled out the bushing in the upper end link and used a bigger bolt to fill the gap up. went for a drive and the clunk was way worse than it ever was still on the left side. So I took off the left one and went for a drive. Sure enough no clunk, the left one was wallowed out as well. So I did the same thing on that side and the evil clunk is finally gone. Just thought I would throw that out that if have a clunk after replacing the end links, Check the upper holes.

I'm scheduled for my first HPDE next week and I just discovered that the bushings on the front end links are worn. I don't notice any issue when taking curves and I'm asking due to the timeline of when the dealer will get the parts...it'll be cutting it close before the event.
View 3 RepliesFord Excursion :: Front End Clunking / Track Bar Bushings
So I can clearly see the track bar clunk in and out about 1/4 inch when the wheel is turned in either direction...guessing its time for new bushings.
What's the latest and greatest on these? or is "whatever they have on sale at summet from moog" is fine?
OEM only? Truck has a 4" lift, stock bar attached to the drop bracket.

View 3 RepliesDodge - Caravan :: Clunking And Some Wobble In Front End / Squeaky New Bushings
So I replaced the stabilizer bushing on my 2005 Dodge Caravan, as there was a bit of clunking and some wobble in the front end. I'm sure there's more to do (other suspension parts to replace), but the bushings were obviously worn when I looked at them. The clunking is gone, and the suspension feels better, but now the bushings make a scrunching rubber sound when I drive over uneven pavement and also when I first accelerate. I assume its the stabilizer bar flexing, but also assume I shouldn't be hearing it. After all, who would want new noisy bushings? Nothing else is new on the front end (except rotors and pads).
