Passat (B6) :: Faint Beeping Sound After Applying Brake When SAT Radio Is Selected
Driving a 2008 Passat with a factory 6 disc radio installed noticed a faint beeping sound after applying the brake when the SAT Radio is selected? I hear it all the time, especially when I'm listening to talk show and the volume is up high. Surprisingly, it doesn't make that sound when I have the CD Player selected.

i have a 03 GX with 53000 plus miles on it. four days ago, i turn on the radio and there's no sound coming out of it. i tried also the tape player and the disc and it is the same thing. i can see from the nav screen that the radio is working for i can change the station and same thing with regards to the changer i can change the any of the six cd's on it. yesterday on my way home i turn on the radio and the sound is back. today it is out again.

I have a 1999 vw passat and i have the abs light on all the time ( was told its the abs module)? Brake light flashing too but i am really only concerned about the beeping sound i get 80% of the time after i come to a stop and accelerate then oil pressure light comes on and it beeps 3 times and goes away til i stop again????? What is making the car beep?

Haven't driven the 2013 ES 350 very much yet but my Nav map has suddenly turned to black and white instead of the initial multiple colors, even during the day. What happened ... can't seem to find on the system how to revert back without going thru 900+ page book. Also, the map is showing some roads/hwys. with tiny circles (attached to each other) instead of the previous thick lines?
Radio, don't have the XM service but when listening to std. issue radio, sometimes and lasting maybe for 8-10 seconds or so, the radio suddenly sounds very "echoey" and more emphasized, it seems, from the back speakers. Then it reverts back to "normal" - only to do it again within the same 20 min. drive-time.

It's an odd small electric motor sound. It happens when I get into the car and tonight I heard it when I turned off the car (had radio off) which that one was longer and had different pitches. It sounds like the power seat is adjusting but it's not. It's driving me nuts that I don't know what it is!

Today I came out of a store & my car started beeping the panic alarm. I don't carry the key fob with me, just a key. I unlocked the door, sat down, put the key in & turned the ignition. The lights all lit on the dashboard as normal but the car did not start. absolutely nothing. I was at a loss for what to do.
Fortunately, someone came out of the store & asked me if I needed a jump & explained what happened, and he said let me try something. He tried to start the car, then got out of it, locked the door, unlocked the door, sat back down & tried again. The car started right up.
The car is a 2014 Elantra SE with the Premium Package.
Passat (B5) :: 2003 - Radio On But No Sound
Well the Radio turns on, all teh lights work, every button works... but no Sound. When i turn it on i get a "Blip" sound then nothing...

Passat (B6) :: No Sound Coming Out Of Radio
so I am driving today and I go to turn the sound up using the steering wheel controls and it starts going up then NO sound at all.
i switch from CD to CD and radio and still nothing no hissing no poping just seemed like the internal amp just cut out.. i was able to see the meter on the radio go up and down just no sound.. i turned the radio on and off and still nothing..
i get home and turn the car off and back on and it started working again..
i'm sure there is a problem but how major and if the dealer scans the car will they be able to tell it happened..
i prefer not to go up there to spend all day waiting to be told they couldnt duplicate the problem so theres nothing they can do..
Passat (B5) :: Clicking Sound Would Continue After Blinker Turned Off
So as per my prior post i was having issues with my directional (blinker) the clicking sound would continue after the blinker turned off. Replaced the hazard warning relay (whole hazard switch) and the problem is still happening. I was playing with the actual blinker control arm today and i got it to make the clicking noise without the flashing light to come on so that seems to be what the problem is. Thinking to have that signal arm replaced? I think that it is not totally disengaging after i turn the wheel. is this something i could do myself? I have the bentley manual to take apart the steering wheel.

I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat GLS. Bought it used just the other day with no radio in it. I put my after market Blaupunkt in it today and it took me seriously 5seconds. Instantly had sound, but it was only coming from the driver's side front and rear, but the volume was weak in the rear. I was going to look for the amp, but idk if it had the monsoon sound or not. Has 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, but i'm not sure if it's the Monsoon sound or Premium.
why my antenna is very weak as well? why I have weak/no sound output from my speakers, if I have premium or monsoon sound and why I have such a weak antenna and how to fix all of these things.
Passat (B5) :: 2002 GLS Will Not Start - Loud Clicking Sound When Ignition Turned On
I have a 2002 Passat GLS and when I tried to start my car this morning, it would not start. When I turn on the ignition, the car gives off a loud clicking sound. The interior and exterior light works, the panel light works, and the radio works as well. What might be the problem?

MY 2004 Prius is acting strange and wont start this morning. When I opened the door I got a beeping sound similar to the sound when you walk away with the key while the car is on. When I pressed power, the power seemed to only partially come on, the screen did not power on, and every warning light is on including the red triangle !. The car would not activate past that stage.

This morning I started my car in 27 degree weather. I let it warm up a few minutes like I always do, and within a minute a beep sound occurred. The beep happened every sixty seconds. There was no warning light on the dash except for the temperature light that goes on when the air is below 37. I turned the power off, got out of the car, walked around it, tires look OK, no fluids on the ground. Odd. After driving for about 20 minutes the beep-a-minute stopped. By that point the temperature had gone up to about 35 degrees. When I got back in the car many hours later to come home, no beeping. The beep is a slightly higher pitch than the seatbelt beep and happened only once every sixty seconds.

Is there anyway to turn off the beeping sound for when my car backs up. I noticed that it does not required. It seems to only go crazier as I back out of my driveway, which has a minor dip as all driveways in my area do.

So yesterday I get a call from my wife that our Passat flashed the low oil warning and starting beeping. She was only 2 blocks from the house, so she made it home and she said the alarm stopped.
When I get home, I checked the oil and the dipstick was bone-dry! I needed to add 2.5qts of Mobil1 0w-40 (VW 502/505). I then checked underneath the car and I saw oil residue all over most of the components on the front passenger-side of the car. I started the car for a few minutes and checked for any obvious leaks or drips - didn't find any. This morning, I checked again for any leaks - nothing on the ground at least.
What it could be? Could it be as simple as the dealer not torquing the drain plug correctly? Probably can't be the filter housing since that's up front, right?
