Ford - Freestar :: 2005 - Beeping Sound Coming From Behind Dashboard Silent For 20 Mins Then Start Again?
We have controlled beeping sound coming from behind the dash board that last about 2 seconds does it 5 times and then is silent for about 20 minutes and the starts again.
The only warning light on is the low tire pressure light but the tire pressures are all ok. How to fix the beeping sound and the tire pressure light.

This morning I started my car in 27 degree weather. I let it warm up a few minutes like I always do, and within a minute a beep sound occurred. The beep happened every sixty seconds. There was no warning light on the dash except for the temperature light that goes on when the air is below 37. I turned the power off, got out of the car, walked around it, tires look OK, no fluids on the ground. Odd. After driving for about 20 minutes the beep-a-minute stopped. By that point the temperature had gone up to about 35 degrees. When I got back in the car many hours later to come home, no beeping. The beep is a slightly higher pitch than the seatbelt beep and happened only once every sixty seconds.

My 2010 Prius (130k miles) has recently started beeping on curves, turns and braking on occasion. The red triangle also comes on. There is no problem otherwise. It is a bit annoying. What is the cause of this? Could I have the beep turned off?

I just bought little bit bumped Prius 2010. The bumper, Windshield, hood and left headlamp need to change. And three front airbags and belts.
But this is not problem, the problem when I start a car the horn is starting beeping. When car is not started it shows lock with keys icon on dashboard. When I start it, it shows only airbags problem, and starting beeping. Car run and drive without any visible problems.

I've never had an issue with my 2010 Prius except for an occasional need to jump the battery after leaving a light on. Today after finding I left the interior light on, the car wouldn't start. I assumed the battery had drained, but then something strange happened. The car would not fully shut off. The starter button shows a red light and there is a loud continuous beeping sound even when the door is closed. Additonally, the car will not lock. When I foreceably locked the doors, they unlock right away. The yellow exclamation point warning light on the left side of the dash is on as is the malfunction indicator light that looks like an engine.
I tried to jump the 12volt battery through the charging port under the hood and got absolutely no response at all. And the continuous high pitched beep is still going after an hour.

I have had no issues with this car of 120K miles until today, although my MPG has decreased to 35 MPG. The following lights came on with a loud beeping sound : Brake warning lights, malfunction indicator light, master warning light and the hybrid system warning light. These stayed on for 25 minutes and then went off. I drove 12 miles without any issues with all the lights and sounds beeping.

I own a 2007 Prius with around 35k miles on it. I got this car about a year and a half ago, and have ever since had a pretty frustrating problem.
Every so often when I park my car and open the door to leave, the car will start beeping incessantly, in the same way that it does if you've left a light on. The only indicators on inside the car are the little red car with the key, telling me that I am in fact sitting inside a car with my keys, and the emergency brake light.

Upon starting, my 2002 (160,000) has a rattling sound coming from the passenger-engine side. I just started noticing it and it seems to happen in the morning on its first start up. It doesn't seem to be effecting driving, but not sure if it was something to be concerned about.

So I bought a 2006 Prius from a dealership and drove it a few times in the first week I got it. The next 5 days or so I didn't use it, until today when I tried to start it up. The car wouldn't unlock with the key remote, so I opened it manually with the key. Then I tried to start it up, nothing. I then took a battery charger and hooked it up to the 12v battery under the hood. There was a constant beeping noise (like you were to honk your horn) then it stopped about 3 minutes later.
I charged it until it was fully charged (a green light pops up when it's full), but the car still wouldn't start nor were there any lights on the dashboard. I then opened the trunk and charged the battery until it was full, it too made a honking noise for a while then stopped. I saw all the lights (ABS, orange triangle, and others) light up so I thought maybe I was on the right track; however when the charger light turned green I unhooked the battery and tried to start the car. Again, no lights on the dashboard and nothing when I try to start the car. What is going on???

My monsoon radio is beeping on my 2011.5 VW Passat. As soon as I turn the radio on the is a beeping sound. About 1 beep/second. Only beeps when radio is on. This is heard over the radio stations (ie. I can still hear the radio "behind" the beeping sound). This will start when I try to put a FM station in memory, turn the volume all the way down or when the battery dies. The radio is otherwise functioning normally (no SAFE being displayed). The beeping usually eventually goes away after several days to a week.

Is there anyway to turn off the beeping sound for when my car backs up. I noticed that it does not required. It seems to only go crazier as I back out of my driveway, which has a minor dip as all driveways in my area do.

Driving a 2008 Passat with a factory 6 disc radio installed noticed a faint beeping sound after applying the brake when the SAT Radio is selected? I have a 07 gs350. My car wouldn't start this morning let alone turn on. I heard this constant beeping noise coming from the hood and it was the battery. I unplugged the battery and the noise stopped. But once I plugged it back in the noise came back. I was in a rush to get to work this morning so I just unplugged it and let it sit for a few minutes before plugging it back in to see if it work.. it did not. This battery is only about 1 year old too.
