Passat (B5) :: Beeping Sound When Radio Turned On
My monsoon radio is beeping on my 2011.5 VW Passat. As soon as I turn the radio on the is a beeping sound. About 1 beep/second. Only beeps when radio is on. This is heard over the radio stations (ie. I can still hear the radio "behind" the beeping sound). This will start when I try to put a FM station in memory, turn the volume all the way down or when the battery dies. The radio is otherwise functioning normally (no SAFE being displayed). The beeping usually eventually goes away after several days to a week.

Today I came out of a store & my car started beeping the panic alarm. I don't carry the key fob with me, just a key. I unlocked the door, sat down, put the key in & turned the ignition. The lights all lit on the dashboard as normal but the car did not start. absolutely nothing. I was at a loss for what to do.
Fortunately, someone came out of the store & asked me if I needed a jump & explained what happened, and he said let me try something. He tried to start the car, then got out of it, locked the door, unlocked the door, sat back down & tried again. The car started right up.
The car is a 2014 Elantra SE with the Premium Package.
Phaeton :: Warning Lights Went From Green To Yellow And Red / Beeping All The Time
My wife was driving down our street today, a two way street, narrow at best of times. On one side a monster snow pile ( 6-7ft high), the other side a very big truck coming at her, minimal passing room, like almost touching her mirrors.
The warning lights on both sides went from green to yellow and red ...beeping all the time. The Phaeton stalled. Not once or twice, but four times !!
Question : did the engine stall because of the red beeping lights on both sides sensed imminent danger ? ...... and she kept on going. She thinks so.
Prius (Gen 3) :: Alarm Started Beeping And Wouldn't Stop
Apparently while I car was at the stealership for it's 45k service, the car alarm was going off crazy and wouldn't stop, so their techs disconnected the horns.
First time they delivered my car back, the horns wouldn't work- sent it back.
Second time around, porter turns off car, closes the driver door, and car alarm starts blaring, other techs and customers starting and closing their ears..
Not sure what could be going on.
Prius (2004-09) :: Started Beeping On Shutdown - Battery Replacement Gone Bad?
2005 Prius, 90k, original battery I think, started beeping on shutdown, then wouldn't start today (cold). Got a new battery, but the back hatch wouldn't open, so I tried to jump it following owner's manual instructions. Headlights came on at first (although stalk switch was off), but doors/car wouldn't respond. Disconnected and reconnected jumpers, lights off this time, still no response when trying doors or starting car.

About a month ago, I started my car and the computer started beeping saying STOP! check coolant...so i did....it was on empty...this was rather weird to me because i remember seeing it on normal like a week ago....so i added the coolant to the max level in the tank.....Two weeks later it was on the MIN level line....so i added some again....then a week later it decreased a little again.... it would seem that its a leak....however i do not see any wet spots under the car...it seems that the coolant disappears due to driving the car... Could it be the coolant? Also, how does G12 coolant differ from regular coolants sold in auto stores?

I am at work and dont have access to my manual. I was driving into work today and the outside temp gauge dropped from 40 to 39 then chimed and flashed as if to say "he it dropped below 40 outside" then it showed a little snowflake picture next to the temp. I have only had the car since summer-so why was it telling me it dropped to 39?

So I got my IS350 F-Sport AWD a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it so far. I just passed the break in period a few days ago . I just had a question about something happened today though. Basically I was on the highway and I was coming off of an off-ramp at about 90 km/h (~55 mph). This was a relatively sharp ramp but I was slowing down as I entered it. Anyway, the car started beeping and I saw a red message in the center of the gauge.
Unfortunately, it was there for a split second and I didn't get to read what it said. Later, after parking the car, I checked the "messages" view in the gauge cluster and there was nothing there. There was also no check engine light or anything on after either. The car seemed to drive normally before, during, and after that. Was it the VSC/TC system? Or is it something else?
I believe this is what I saw. Is it possible for it to have detected the curb coming up and that I was going fast? Does the Canadian F-Sport 3 package even have a PCS? I don't see anything about a PCS when I look at what's included in the package, but I know that it does have the radar cruise control/rear cross-traffic alerts so it doesn't seem out of the question that it could detect the curb.
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Ice / Snow On Backup Sensor - Alarm Started Beeping
Last night I backed my truck up to allow another family member to leave, and the back-up sensor alarm started beeping, like it does when the tail-gate is down and backing up.
The truck had not been driven on Christmas day, but it had rained and snowed lightly (dusting), then the temp dropped to 20 degrees.
Can a light dusting/ice cause the sensor to react the same as a close object. I think it does, just trying to confirm.
Prius (2004-09) :: 2005 - Car Making Strange Beeping Noise, CEL, ABS Lights Come On
Have been driving my Prius with no issue all week. I leave the car home and take my wife's vehicle, while she drives it today without incident. I come home and hear the car making some strange beeping noise (NOT the anti-theft alarm, different). I hop into the car and try to start it, and the check engine and ABS lights come on for a second before other lights in the speedometer area kinda half come on. The gear indicator comes on and has boxes blinking on all of the letters.
The MFD never comes on.
It appears to be the 12V battery dying. The car has 150k miles and I have never replaced the battery, so it seems I was way overdue for this.

We have controlled beeping sound coming from behind the dash board that last about 2 seconds does it 5 times and then is silent for about 20 minutes and the starts again.
The only warning light on is the low tire pressure light but the tire pressures are all ok. How to fix the beeping sound and the tire pressure light.

Phaeton :: 2004 V10 - Ignition Won't Come On When Key Is Turned
I have a dead car. My phaeton has been playing up as when you turn the key it did not always turnover its now been stood for a while and now the ignition won't come on when the key is turned. both the batteries are full and the key are recognized the only thing to come on is the info display center above the gear lever i have tried a new ignition switch and still nothing, any clues my car is 2004 v10 auto one last thing is there a way to unlock the gear lever as this not working as well...

I woke up this morning to rain and a very sick Phaeton. The car is locked, however the headlights turned on automatically. The car has a smell of burning electrical components. The wireless unlock doesn't work, so I had to open the door with the key. This set off the alarm. I was unable to shut it off by putting the car key into the ignition. Now the key is stuck in the ignition. Various lights are flashing, but I cannot start the car. The batteries are less than 2 years old.

Well this past week I have been getting the ESP light lit in my cluster during my weekly commutes. 1st: My car is a 2005 05 V8 model with 96K miles. The ESP light resets every time when the car is turned off and comes on after driving (varies), no hard CEL triggering with the condition. I notice yesterday that the ESP light comes on faster when I am coming up a hill. Yesterday when I started out on flat ground the light was off most of the trip (about 10 miles), it wasn't until I hit the hill on my way home that it illuminated (the final mile of my trip). One other major symptom, the Cruise Control does not "SET"; Cruise turns on and I see the indicator in the cluster, but when I hit the set function, it doesn't set the speed control. This happens both before and after the ESP light illuminates.
I have a VAD Pro and I ran a scan, both at the halt and on the move, the ESP light does NOT throw out a DTC in the ABS module or any others. However, their is one persistent fault that reoccurs (00526), faulty brake light switch; the Ross Tech site stated this is normal in some Automatic transmissions; if you do not push the brake pedal before the scan. My brake lights work fine & I understand their is two sets of contacts in the switch. Again, this DTC (00526) does not set the CEL. But, I am not ruling out a faulty brake light switch.
I performed a Goggle search and found an Audi A8 with an ESP issue, one of the members pointed to hydraulic unit under the hood , here is the link. [URL] ....
This A8 owner says a new brake light switch fixed his vehicle, and the cruise control was also not working as a symptom. [URL] ....
Phaeton :: Rapid Chirping Through Speakers Once Ignition Turned On
My P is partly laid up with a battery conditioner permanently attached and is used only every few weeks. Once the ignition is turned on, any music is damped and a distinct rapid 'chirping' noise is heard, for about 3 seconds. The music then ramps back up and all is well. No warnings, lights or other indications whatsoever. The battery voltage seems fine and she starts beautifully. My suspicion is that it may be battery or immobiliser related. My primitive VCDS gives no codes.

Yesterday I started up my Phaeton after it had been sitting for about almost a week. When it turned over it had a rough idle and also a fuel smell, as I drove it the idle went away. However I have never had this happen before and the fuel smell concerned me.

Is there something I can do about this? Is it normal for it to come on every time I start the car. Even if I turn it off before I turn off the car it always turns onto 72 degrees and the front vents come up. I tried to change to another profile , but that does not work. There must be a setting that I miss to have it totally shut off.
