So my girlfriends passat is starting to have some problems. It looks like a light show on the dash. When driving it, every now and then (a lot more now) the tach goes dead, and the oil and brake light flash, and it starts beeping. The car also has a ABS light on but that has been on for a long time.
So far I've checked both the oil and brake fluid levels, and checked all the fuses. Everything is good there. It just seems funny that they all go at once. I figure maybe one of the plugs to the cluster is loose giving everything a zero reading? I need to buy a vag cable and software some time that's for sure.

So while driving my mom's 99 passat, after a few miles it gives six loud beeps, the BRAKE light comes on, the oil pressure warning light starts flashing, the ABS light flashes, and the tach sits at zero.
Brakes still work, havent tested ABS. there's no noticeable change in performance. I'm assuming this is the CCM and ABS modules on their last breaths.

My alternator went today, driving and the battery came on .. was concerned but was still on my way, abt 5 miles from my house the abs light and brake lights starting flashing and beeping .. and then caput .. the car shuts off .. figured it was the alternator, cuz thats whats logically made sense .. talk to vwvortex and if so how much do these type of jobs cost ??

Passat (B7) :: Outside Temp Gauge Dropped Below 40 Then Started Beeping And Flashing?
I am at work and dont have access to my manual. I was driving into work today and the outside temp gauge dropped from 40 to 39 then chimed and flashed as if to say "he it dropped below 40 outside" then it showed a little snowflake picture next to the temp. I have only had the car since summer-so why was it telling me it dropped to 39?

I have a very strange issue with the car, it started last week once the weather had cooled down. Over a 3 day period when starting to drive the car from a cold start, after 30 secs, the following 3/4 things would happen.
The master warning light starts flashing with beeping
Message on the console 'Warning Key Detected'
Interior front courtesy light comes on for a few moments then goes off.
This continues until you stop the car. Turn it off. Wait then start again. Once going again it happens all over again. Until the car is warmed up, then it stops completely.
Passat (B5) :: Beeping Sound When Radio Turned On
My monsoon radio is beeping on my 2011.5 VW Passat. As soon as I turn the radio on the is a beeping sound. About 1 beep/second. Only beeps when radio is on. This is heard over the radio stations (ie. I can still hear the radio "behind" the beeping sound). This will start when I try to put a FM station in memory, turn the volume all the way down or when the battery dies. The radio is otherwise functioning normally (no SAFE being displayed). The beeping usually eventually goes away after several days to a week.

Driving a 2008 Passat with a factory 6 disc radio installed noticed a faint beeping sound after applying the brake when the SAT Radio is selected? I hear it all the time, especially when I'm listening to talk show and the volume is up high. Surprisingly, it doesn't make that sound when I have the CD Player selected.

The light in my wife's 03 Passat keeps coming on and beeping...the car will not "act up" when we take it to the dealership ( under warranty ) and they claim to have cleaned the O2 sensors. It never fails, she drives it home from the dealership and the CEL comes on and beeps a few times once she has driven about 10 minutes. Car runs great, but we don't know if it's hurting gas mileage.

My wife's 1998 Passat's ABS and Brake lights both comes on along with that beeping buzzer. Everything is norm from start up, but after driving about 10 miles or so the ABS/brake light& buzzer show starts up.
It seems the ABS is working because my wife found a patch of sand in a parking lot and jammed on the brakes while the ABS/brake light& buzzer show was going on. She said she could feel the brakes pumping.
We took it in to the dealer and they check the brake pads and sensors. They said that the sensors and pads were ok. They thought it might have been dirty sensor, so they clean them.
Two days later the ABS/brake light& buzzer show came back. But this time my brakes squeal a little if you press on the brake lightly. (cleaning solution got on the brakes?) Also how big a deal is it installing a new ABS black box ? (where is it?)

I have had no issues with this car of 120K miles until today, although my MPG has decreased to 35 MPG. The following lights came on with a loud beeping sound : Brake warning lights, malfunction indicator light, master warning light and the hybrid system warning light. These stayed on for 25 minutes and then went off. I drove 12 miles without any issues with all the lights and sounds beeping.

I have a VW golf 2010 with original rims and tires. Suddenly the tire pressure light came on I checked the pressure of each tire and they are fine, but the light keeps flashing for 1 minute and then is on. I checked the manual and it reads malfunction in the system. I took it to the dealer in my country but they they told me they won"t bring this model here so I am out of luck. 2006 Prius, 134K miles. All tire pressures perfect but pressure indicator light started flashing about a minute then stays on. Happens each time car starts. There have been no weather temperature fluctuations. Attempted indicator reset by pushing “ON” once without pedal push and then pushing and holding pressure reset button under dash for a minute. Nothing happens. Indicator does not come on or flash when pushing the reset button while in “On” mode. Tires have not been changed or rotated since last year.

My Tire pressure indicator light starts FLASHING after driving for 15-30 minutes. It does not stay on but continues to flash every 3 seconds. I stop to check tire pressure and my tires are fine. After a couple weeks of this, I took it to the Subaru Service who checked the tire pressure indicators and it said all 4 of them were bad. They reset them versus replacing them and 20 minutes after I left the subaru service center, the flashing started again.
Subaru says that it is unusual for all 4 to be back at the same exact time and recalibrating them should have fixed it. Now they would like to replace each of them for about $150 parts&labor EACH. That seems crazy. Is there something else wrong? Something else they can fix? Is this a legitimate repair? My subaru is the Limited LL Bean version, 6 cylinder, has 60K miles on it and is in top condition. Had new tires put on 10,000 miles ago.
