Passat (B6) :: No Sound Coming Out Of Radio
so I am driving today and I go to turn the sound up using the steering wheel controls and it starts going up then NO sound at all.
i switch from CD to CD and radio and still nothing no hissing no poping just seemed like the internal amp just cut out.. i was able to see the meter on the radio go up and down just no sound.. i turned the radio on and off and still nothing..
i get home and turn the car off and back on and it started working again..
i'm sure there is a problem but how major and if the dealer scans the car will they be able to tell it happened..
i prefer not to go up there to spend all day waiting to be told they couldnt duplicate the problem so theres nothing they can do..
Passat (B5) :: Beeping Sound When Radio Turned On
My monsoon radio is beeping on my 2011.5 VW Passat. As soon as I turn the radio on the is a beeping sound. About 1 beep/second. Only beeps when radio is on. This is heard over the radio stations (ie. I can still hear the radio "behind" the beeping sound). This will start when I try to put a FM station in memory, turn the volume all the way down or when the battery dies. The radio is otherwise functioning normally (no SAFE being displayed). The beeping usually eventually goes away after several days to a week.

I have a 1999 Volkswagen Passat GLS. Bought it used just the other day with no radio in it. I put my after market Blaupunkt in it today and it took me seriously 5seconds. Instantly had sound, but it was only coming from the driver's side front and rear, but the volume was weak in the rear. I was going to look for the amp, but idk if it had the monsoon sound or not. Has 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, but i'm not sure if it's the Monsoon sound or Premium.
why my antenna is very weak as well? why I have weak/no sound output from my speakers, if I have premium or monsoon sound and why I have such a weak antenna and how to fix all of these things.
Subaru - Legacy :: 2003 - No Sound From Radio
About a year ago, the radio in my car starting working intermittently. First a speaker or 2 went out. Then the radio would play only occasionally (usually on warm days). Finally it quit altogether. The radio got power and showed stations or cd tracks, but there was no audio. We looked at fuses, wire connections, speakers, etc. Finally I got a new radio, and once installed, there is still no audio.

Driving a 2008 Passat with a factory 6 disc radio installed noticed a faint beeping sound after applying the brake when the SAT Radio is selected? I hear it all the time, especially when I'm listening to talk show and the volume is up high. Surprisingly, it doesn't make that sound when I have the CD Player selected.

This may sound crazy, but there are a few good sports talk radio shows on AM radio that I can't get. The problem is the AM stations on my car radio all come in with a ton of static. If I hold the antenna, the sound is great. If I move the antenna around, eventually I can get it pretty clear I also replace the antenna with a after-market one for looks more than anything, but the static issue remains.
My car is a 2003 VW Passat.

I am getting a sound from the right front wheel that is related to the rotation. I know it is not tires because I just got new tires and it was there before and after. It kind of sounds like a very faint ...vump vump vump vump and speeds up as I go faster. Maybe a wheel bearing?

I have an 03 Passat 1.8t that makes a watery "splashy" sound in the dash. It happens when I rev the engine, and it sounds like its in the vent above the stereo. I only happens when I rev the engine, and once the car is warmed up, it goes away. What this could be?

I have a 03 passat with a 1.8t with 126k on it. I just bought the car last week and ever since i got it it has issues i cant figure out
On cold starts its makes a chirping sound under the hood that gets louder as you accelerate but goes away after motor warms up. The sound is similar to a loose or bad fan belt. But the noise is coming from the back passenger side of the engine when you listen under the hood.
Car also has no power. Had a good pull when i test drove the vehicle but now its a dog. It seems like its running on three cylinders or the turbo aint even working
Car is a 5 speed and its a struggle to put the car into first gear but every other gear is smooth. To get it in first you gota be stopped, put it in second then to first and you gota push the shifter left till you feel it pop in gear. Also have to hold it in 1st or it will sometimes pop out...

OK So I just replaced the Passenger side axle on my 03 wagon with a brand new EMPI assembly. It was really easy but on the test spin around the block I'm hearing a flop flop flop sound on hard left turns.

When I turn the steering wheel, there is a groaning sound both to the left and right. the other problem is when I'm accelerating slowly up an incline and turning the steering wheel, there a type of clicking sound I hear and feel on my accelerator. By the way, it's a V6 engine, Front wheel drive.

After I started the car yesterday,there is no sound from the radio.I thought my favourite station is off the air temporary and retune to another station but also no signal.First thing that came into my mind was the aerial and switch over to CD and still no sound from the radio.I turn off the engine and restart the car all the setting and displays were still there so I know the AGM battery is ok and still no sound from the radio,I turn off the engine again and restart after 2 min,the radio is back and as clear as ever.

I have no sound at all from radio,CD or Nav... nothing, nadda, zip. I checked with vagcom and all speakers show open circuit. It shows a DTC 00464. All of this followed an Output test performed on Controller 47 (Sound System) which worked fine.

The head unit is the basic touch screen that came with the GTI. The screen waits about 30 seconds to turn on after starting the car, and then there is no sound from any source. Mute is not enabled. Symptoms started after a short trip to the grocery store.

I just bought my first Prius, a 2003 with 218,000 miles. The radio doesn't seem to be working. On FM or AM, it turns on and will scan through channels, but it's not picking up any stations -- it just scans forever. I haven't had a chance to check if the CD or cassette players are working since I don't actually have anything to put in them.

My radio hasn't worked for over a year. I've gotten used to driving with my headphones on, but now I want to get to the bottom of the problem.
I have an 06 Accent. The radio powers on and I am able to flip stations and put a cd in and out. I just get no sound.
I tried checking the audio fuses. I can't check one of the fuses because its connected to the yellow memory fuse. I can't get the fuse out without breaking the plastic case. Is there a way to remove the fuse without breaking the case?
Another thing I just noticed is when I turn on the radio I hear a pop coming from the left rear speaker. I don't know what that means. How to get sound back.
Kia - Optima :: 2006 - Radio Set Up Without Sound?
Kia Optima LX: I have a 2006.5 kia optima. I am replacing my stock radio. I have hooked up plenty of radios with out trouble in all o my old cars.
I have hooked up this radio to where I am only getting power to turn the radio on with out sound. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I have hooked up all the wiring according to the radio insert.
I have heard something with the stock amp which I have located in the trunk on the rich side wheel well area. I can not see what I need to change or if I need to.
Touareg :: No Sound From CD / Radio On NAV Unit?
I started the egg tonight and the radio came on but there wasn't any audio. I turned up the volume and nothing happened. I tried playing a cd from the changer and no audio. I pulled up "home" on the navi and Ivana talked to me and told me how to get home. So there is audio coming from the navi mode but not from the radio or the cd modes.
