Ford Excursion :: 2005 - Cruise Control Module Location
Discovering where my cruise control module is located on my 05 Excursion. . . I've looked at all of the pictures showing that it should be right in front of the a/c unit, underneath the vacuum pump, but on both my 04 and my 05 Excursions, there is nothing to be found on that location. Where the bugger can be located.

1991 Bonny sse. Is the BCM located under the relay panel ? The fan wire harness goes under the relays. Just need to know if it is under the hood. I have the cover off the relay panel but don't see the module. Fan will not shut off. Had to disconnect the battery cable.

I'm wondering if there is a 100% way to check and see if my climate control module is bad. No lights work on it, it doesn't turn on the ac or the blower. I took it off it all seems to be decent from what I can tell. But its just not working.

View 1 RepliesFord Excursion :: Blower Motor Only Blows On High?
Well my blower motor only blows on high which IMO points to the resistor, went and bought one and still only blows on high. Tried to test the plug that goes to the resistor but couldn't get anything, shouldn't there be 12v going to the plug and then step down to the resistor until high is selected then 12v bypasses the resistor all together? Blows strong and cold, too cold actually since we cant turn the blower down so we have to turn it off for a few minutes.

Ford Excursion :: Blower Motor Only Runs With Key Out - Battery Drain?
My blower motor runs with the key out on all speeds in my excursion. Replaced blower relay in hood fuse box. NO FIX. As I move climate selector to off and turn key to acc. and off it will turn off the blower. If I turn the selector to any position such as vent or heat with the key out, blower runs thus drains the battery. Do I have to replace the whole climate pod?
View 8 RepliesFord Excursion :: Blower Motor Wouldn't Turn Off By Itself When Truck Was Turned Off
It started with the blower motor that wouldn't turn off by itself when the truck was turned off. I forgot to turn the fan off one night and woke up to a dead battery. Got my dad to come give me a boost and it would turn but not start and the anti theft light in the dash was blinking fast.
Later in the day I got another boost and it started right up.
This was yesterday... after the last boost and startup I went and got a few things, stopped to get gas... started back up fine each time.
Last night I was greasing zerks and making sure everything in the front end was nice and tight when the abs module started clicking... and the anti theft started blinking and truck wouldn't start. Left it alone and went to bed.
This morning I boosted it and it started fine. Later in the day it wouldn't start again because of the anti theft. Gave it 5 minutes and it started. Stopped to get gas... wouldn't start (anti theft)... started after about 5 minutes.
On the way back home... it's been making this 5 beep, pause, 5 beeps, pause sequence so I pulled it into the garage and turned it off now the locks are locking/unlocking by themselves randomly, the beeping is on and off, anti theft light blinks for a few minutes then goes away only to come back...
I've been told to remove the fuse box under the hood and check to make sure all connections are clean... I've searched and seen possible solutions ranging from a dirty connection to needing a new GEM module and apparently sometimes just a low voltage situation will cause our trucks to act nuts...
Ford Excursion :: Code P0683 - Glow Plug Control Module To PCM Comm Circuit
I have a 2002 7.3L and keep throwing a P0683 code (Glow Plug control module to PCm comm circuit). I have looked though all the Forum posts I could and it looks like the GPR, or the GPCM, or harness are at fault. I know my truck has the GPCM ... does it also have a GPR? I am not getting ANY individual GP failure codes, but the damn thing is having a hell of a time starting in the cold.
1) How do I determine if the GPCM is bad?
2) If I have a bad ground?
3) Bad connector to GPCM connection?
4) If something is wrong with the wiring harness itself
Last night I unplugged the harness from the GPCM, cleaned the connectors, added di-electric grease to improve the connections .. made no difference.

View 11 RepliesIntrigue :: A/C Fan Blower Motor Does Not Directly Respond To Dashboard Speed Control
I have a 99 Olds Intrigue GLS. Going on 163k miles. She has been pretty good with the common fixes for this model. I decided to replace my upper and lower Coolant Hoses before I took a long trip. Everything went OK until I tried to use my AC later that day.
During my Coolant change out I did indeed start the car multiple times and eventually I disconnected the battery to reach a hose.
Now, when I turn on the AC, the Blower motor does not directly respond to my dash board speed control. The little bars indicating higher speed changes up and down as normal, but the blower doesn't change with it. Also, I can SOMETIMES get it to change speeds by turning the speed all the way up then back down a few clicks etc...Currently, when I turn on the car the AC does kick in under the hood, but the blower stays off.
Something fishy going on. I decided to disconnect the battery again and see if anything "reset". No Luck. I think it coincidental that it happened during my Coolant change out...
Pontiac :: 2005 - Vibe Blower Motor Went Bad
I recently got another blower motor for my vibe. Got it installed but nothing happened. I replaced the resistor as well. Once I found the secret hidden fuse panel I found that the 40a fuse was blown. I replaced it and it blew instantly upon turning the ignition on, the resistor was unplugged at the time. I am wondering if there could be a short in the wire harness.
The blower went bad a while ago and blew a resistor, I replaced it and it ran for a while until some smoke came out of the dash and then nothing.

View 1 RepliesSanta FE SM (2001-06) :: Climate Control - Blower Motor Constantly Running Anytime Key Is Turned On
I have an 04 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 AWD with climate control. All other trucks this year I've only seen with manual HVAC controls. My blower motor is constantly running anytime the key is turned on. It feels like it is blowing 3/4 strong all the time and I can turn it up, what feels like one setting higher. Even if the climate control is turned off it keeps blowing. I can control the temp and AC and defroster, I just cannot control the actual airflow pressure from the vents. On an older car this seems like a resistor issue. Is this a common issue? If so, what can I do to try to rectify this?

View 3 RepliesFord Excursion :: 2005 V10 - Front AC Blower Cutting Out Randomly
Have an 05 Limited Excursion v10 where the front blower motor will cut out randomly. The rear blower will work without issue even when the front is not working. When the front is working (98% of the time) all speeds seem to work and can adjust to all heating/cooling positions. After searching the forum I thought the likely culprit was the blower motor; which I replaced this pass weekend but coming home from work it cut off again, clearly the issue is not resolved. I know the ford resistor are known to be prone to issues but symptoms do not seem to point that direction. Also it is does not happen with any consistency, happens at idle just as frequently as the expressway. What else to check and how to check before I have to give in and take to dealership...
View 2 RepliesPrius (Gen 2) :: 2005 - Changed Evaporator And Now Blower Motor Doesn't Work
So the evaporator in my dads Prius had been leaking for a while so we finally decided to bite the bullet and change it. Everything came apart fine. Changed the evap and expansion valve. Put it pretty much back together except for glove box and a pillar trim pieces. Push power button twice to make sure all the flaps and blower motor works as it should. Well the blower motor doesn't come on. I hear the relay click when you turn the fan on in the mid. No power at the fan though. I checked just to be sure. I've looked all over for loose wires/plugs but have yet to find anything. I started the car up and everything works fine except the blower motor. What it could be?
