Ford Excursion :: Cruise Control Module Location On 6.0
My cruise control is out. I have checked the clock spring wiring and it is OK. Going to replace the brake switch today. Looked for the CC module but cannot locate. Where it is on the diesel X.

Discovering where my cruise control module is located on my 05 Excursion. . . I've looked at all of the pictures showing that it should be right in front of the a/c unit, underneath the vacuum pump, but on both my 04 and my 05 Excursions, there is nothing to be found on that location. Where the bugger can be located.

I recently purchased a used 2000 Explorer Eddie Bauer and the previous owner did not have the factory set 5 digit number for keyless entry soooo I accessed your forum thru Google and got some sketchy ideas on where this module might be located and wanted to share my experience to others that, may in the future, have the same problem. The computer module is located in the tire jack access panel, rear storage left. When you remove the panel the computer module is the white plastic module slightly forward. This module is held in place by a brass hanger with one holding bolt visible but removing this bolt does not free up the module so forget about trying that. In this compartment there is one other black plastic module held in place by two accessable bolts, remove the bolts and lower the module to give you a better area of vision. Now, and you'll need someone with good eyes, take the jack and GENTLY pry the plastic interior storage trim away from the white computer module and look into the space with a bright lite, this will only give you at most a couple of inches of space. Taped on the side is a label with the 5 digit code printed in the middle of the label in bold digits...that's your code. I wear glasses and was able to see the numbers, it's not easy though, but be patient.

The Ford dealership charged me an hour labor to diagnose the problem and they said it's the security control module which I just ordered.

1991 Bonny sse. Is the BCM located under the relay panel ? The fan wire harness goes under the relays. Just need to know if it is under the hood. I have the cover off the relay panel but don't see the module. Fan will not shut off. Had to disconnect the battery cable.

I have a 2002 7.3L and keep throwing a P0683 code (Glow Plug control module to PCm comm circuit). I have looked though all the Forum posts I could and it looks like the GPR, or the GPCM, or harness are at fault. I know my truck has the GPCM ... does it also have a GPR? I am not getting ANY individual GP failure codes, but the damn thing is having a hell of a time starting in the cold.
1) How do I determine if the GPCM is bad?
2) If I have a bad ground?
3) Bad connector to GPCM connection?
4) If something is wrong with the wiring harness itself
Last night I unplugged the harness from the GPCM, cleaned the connectors, added di-electric grease to improve the connections .. made no difference.
Accent LC (2000-05) :: DRL Control Module Buzzing Noise
Recently I've had problems with my DRL (Day time Running Lights) Control Module. When I start the car, the DRL starts to make a loud buzzing sound. When I turn on my High Beams, it stops making the noise. It sounds like there's a relay that Isn't working like its supposed to be. So, I've thought of replacing it, but I`m not sure if its the DRL that's defective or just a wiring problem...

2004 Hyundai Accent
- Car won't start ...
- Remote key unlocks the car fine
- When put the key in the ignition and turn 'on' the little key indicator on the cluster doesn't come on.
- Left overnight and tried again in the morning, key indicator come on and then disappeared and wasn't able to start car.
- Key indicator now won't come on.
I spoke to mechanic and he said replace the immobilizer control module and reprogram key..
Yukon :: 2000 4.8 - ABS Module Going Bad Resulting In Brake And ABS Light Remaining Lit On Dash
The ABS Module going bad resulting in the Brake Light and ABS Light remaining lit on the dash. Couple of questions:
1. Any preferences between using Module Master vs. ABS Fixer to get my module re-built?
2. MM told me to get the OEM from GM for confirmation. ABS Fixer told me to take it to a mechanic to see codes (1. Pump Running Failure or 2. CO265). I'm little leary that MM didn't tell me to do that and just assumed that the ABS was broken and I should just remove it and send it in. Who's right?
3. Also a little leary on trying to remove this myself. My unit is under driver door on top of the brake lines. Is it a difficult job (I can handle most things with good pictures and instructions) or should I take it in to local mechanic and have him remove it to send in?
