Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: V10 Knocking Seems To Double Tap Sometimes
I have a 6.8l V10 that ..... seems.... to be knocking. I am used to hearing v8 knocks but not so sure about a v10. The knock seems to double tap sometimes. Could this be a bad valve or lifter instead? Video is linked.
Also oil pressure seems to be fine.

Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 1999 - Second Gear Hot - Only Double Clutch?
I have a '99 f150 singlecab xl sport 4.2 2wd 5spd with 139,xxx miles on her. Shes's a good truck, but second gear is shot, I can only get into it by double clutching, and that only sometimes works. I have a couple questions, the first one being what do yall think the problem is. To me and my friends it seems like the syncro mesh. Second, if it is something major, is it even worth saving the truck? I know she isn't worth a ton but I hate to go through the hassle of selling and buying a car.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2001 F250 - Engine Chirp At Idle
I have a 2001 f250 with the 5.4 I replaced the belt because of belt squeal and after replacing it the squeal is gone. now after the truck gets to its normal temp and I stop at a gas station for dip I will leave it running and when I come out it has this loud chirping noise it kinda sounds mechanical but it very well could be something on the belt drive. I am stumped it goes away after I start driving but I am kind of nervous about what it could be.
And the only time I hear it is while the truck is at normal temp and in park I have rolled the windows down and can not hear it while driving or at traffic lights. a part of me says it could be the fan clutch and now that it has a good belt on it I am hearing a sound of maybe the clutch going out or a pulley bearing starting to go out. Where I should go from here?
Volvo :: 2014 XC90 - Hesitation And Very Little To No Acceleration
Have 2014 XC-90 w/10k miles. Problem is sporadic (has happened approx 10-15 times over past year).
From standing stop (stop light, etc) -- press on accelerator and VERY LITTLE to no acceleration. Engine continues to run smoothly -- no indication of fuel starvation, no roughness --- just no acceleration. It does NOT appear to be transmission oriented because when it finally "kicks in" there is no feeling of transmission shifting or wild tach movement (to indicate that there was a changing of the gears, etc). I get things back to "normal" by pumping the accelerator (usually a reflex action because the are vehicles behind me wanting to "go"). VERY disconcerting issue.
Local Volvo dealer says "cannot find any error messages", etc. My only complaint with the car -- second XC-90 and 5th Volvo.
Volvo - S60 :: 2004 - Noises On Acceleration And Turning
My 2004 Volvo S60 has 99,000 miles on it. Just today it started making a quiet noise like an electric golf cart when I accelerate. Also just today it developed a quiet grinding noise when I turn the wheels (but only if the car is moving). I just had a clutch replaced by on the a/c compressor and I have my car serviced according to schedule. What the problem(s) could be?

Recently I have noticed my 1993 Volvo 940 makes a noisewhile driving, that sounds as best I can describe as a card in a bicycle spoke;or kind of like the putt-putt sound, you hear from a large truck idling next toyou. I hear it while driving, wheneverstepping on the gas pedal, but not while idling, or when the car is in park or natural. The faster I accelerate the louder the noiseis. I want to try to trouble shoot this but I do notknow where to even begin looking into this. Maybe there's a leak somewhere.

In the past month for 3 times I've experienced problems with engine start (starter turned properly and I could hear fuel pump working). Yesterday however, I noticed that during full acceleration - at higher revs, engine suddenly loses a bit of power and at the same time you can feel kind of rattling or vibration in the engine. After letting off the gas pedal everything goes back to normal ... Besides, everything seems to be normal. Lambda control light does not light up indicating any errors. However I get a faulty knock sensor code 1-4-3. To my intuition the problem is with the ignition (but approx. 2 years ago I replaced distributor cap + rotor and the plugs + ignition wires were replaced about 3 years ago) or the amount of fuel in the mixture, but that could be caused by many things.

When driving my 2003 Volvo XC70, it sounds as if I am driving on nobby mud tires. The sound (rrrrrrrrrrrr) gets faster and slower with the cars acceleration and deceleration. I know that the sound isn't caused by the tires because I am running on Micheline Harmony tires which are fairly quite. I am concerned that it may be a gear going bad.

I recently bought a 2004 XC90 T6. It has several issue and one strange issue is the sluggish performance: the vehicle sort of hesitates, requires quite a bit of acceleration effort to get up to speed, feels 'heavy', and in general does not seem to have the right amount of power. What makes the issue strange is that performance improves, noticeably, when the car is starting to run out of fuel, or when the "low fuel" light comes on. It is not a placebo effect: i've verified it several times that soon after the light is on, the vehicle becomes a lot more responsive, accelerates well, engine seems to sound quieter a little even.
I do not know much about cars. I am slowly learning after purchasing this vehicle. I verified that the air filter is clean. It has synthetic oil put in. I recently changed the spark plugs (very proud of that), that did not seem to improve the performance. My plan is to purchase and configure VIDA diagnostic tool and scan the vehicle while driving. It might also be worth mentioning that the vehicle is getting very poor mpg, averaging to 6 km per little.
One important note: the MAF sensor is faulty: i drive with it being unplugged, however when it is plugged in i experience the same as described above. I know it is faulty because when it is plugged in and the car is started up, the RPM goes to 2000+ and there for up to a minute or longer. If the MAF is unplugged this does not happen.
Prius (Gen 3) :: Double Door Locking And No Beep?
So i think I'm loosing my mind but i could swear that when i got my Pri V it beeped and locked doors once when i would touch the door handle or remote. For some reason now it locks the doors twice and no beep on locking. It also locks the doors twice whenever i put it in drive now also. Is this normal?

I tried to remove the double DIN monsoon unit using 4 OEM VW removal keys. The bottom went fine, the top they went all the way in. So after searching here and other forums, I know the tabs are bent. There were plenty of posts but not many were useful. I tried jiggling the radio around, angling the keys in trying to catch and even pulled the trim from around the radio to see if I could slide something in.
One post said he got it out by pulling apart the whole dash to get at the cage, which I don't want to do. The other said he brought it to the dealer and they could get it out but destroy it. I'd be willing to give that a shot to get this thing out, but not sure how to even go about it.

I get a double warning beep that only occurs when turning onto a new street. This is a different beep than the lane departure beeps, blind spot monitoring beeps and the forward collision beeps. All of these are uniquely different beeps from sound and number. This double beep that occurs when turning onto a new street does not have any associated warning message that is displayed when it occurs.

Golf/GTI VI :: Single Or Quick Double Pop Sound From Right Rear Area Occasionally
Just installed FK Streetlines..... So everything is very tight in the back, before putting weight on the suspension I went over all the bolts and everything is tight. But I occasionally get a single or quick double pop sound from the right rear area, I can almost feel it in my seat/floor. But it's not frequent and not on smooth or rough roads really I can't find a pattern. Usually turning left and a little side to side undulation... Maybe. I've checked over everything. Car has 500mi. I took delivery of my new prius a few weeks ago and of course played around with the parking assist. However in the last few days when I press the button to start the process I simply get a double beep and nothing more happens.
I called the dealer and they don't seem to know what it is and so have booked me in to take a look at it.
