Touareg :: Speedo Display Indicator When Turn Signals Actuated
When I towed with my 2005 V-8 Touareg, the speedo displayed an indicator (like this - ) when the turn signals were actuated. I now have a 2009 TDI. The brake controller has just been installed and the turn signals work fine but no display.

I just got a 2000 F350 cc drw 7.3l.
I did search but have had no luck. My turn signals do not work, unless my foot is on the brake pedal my green arrow indicator wont even turn on. When they do my bulbs work but don't cycle so I know all the bulbs are good as I had my wife check all four corners when I got them to come on for a split second. I have tried replacing the MFS and the turn signal relay under the radio in the dash.... When I do turn on my blinkers I can hear the relay click once but that is it, no more.
I tried checking the wiring in the column and tilting the column to its extremes while trying to engage the turn signals. Also, if I unplug the brake light switch then I do not get an arrow on the IC to light up so I am guessing the power flows through that switch. I don't have a chilton manual yet and the owners manual was not in the truck. I did check fuse 23 ?
Touareg :: Gauge Shows Near Empty, Prior Fill Up
So I fill up today, 20plus gallons, the gauge shows near empty prior fill-up and after it is very very slow to show full. First I was confused and to make certain I filled again but the tank is full.. So, I guess a) the gauge is just slow to react or b) the sending unit called it quits or c)

A month ago, I needed my horn. No workie. Blown fuse. Yesterday, drove all morning, everything fine. Parked, came back to car, no signal lights on either side, no emergency flasher. Pulled fuse covers, no blown fuses. Restarted car, signals working again. Another change also: Ever since I found out how to view total consumption, miles since fillup, etc on the MFI, I have been unable to change it to current stats. I've pushed the roller wheel over and over again, held it in, etc. Now that this electrical gremlin has reared its ugly head, my trip computer has, on its own, reverted to current readings.

I was getting in my Touareg this morning after going to the doctor. As I turned onto the freeway onramp I noticed I had no turn signals at all and my battery voltage was pegged at zero and not fluctuating at all.
Had the battery replaced about 2,000 miles ago when I got the standard System Fault message, but it has started fine since. Even started fine this morning, etc.
Drove to the dealer while I was on the cell with my service manager who knows me by name.. I get there and shut the car off. Turn the alarm on and off and re-started it. Same thing....no turn signals and as I started it the battery voltage went up to 10 and back down to zero.
We're planning to leave it for service and it clears itself. Turn it on and off about 10 times with no error again.....very weird. Dealer needed to order some other warranty parts so they are going to check for any errors when I drop it off next week.
My voltage is consistently in the 12.5 to 13.5 range. Never at 14 volts. My tech at this dealer checked my vehicle the last time when they replaced the battery and said nothing needed to be replaced. Checked all the TSB's, etc. He and his wife have a T'reg so he seems to know his stuff.
I've heard the talk about the 14 volt reading, but he said that is not true, though it does have to have a 12.5 volt or above reading at all times per what he said. Service manager said they saw something similar last week and that owner was also getting some heavy radio static. I noticed some faint radio static, but was also listening to an AM station at the time. I do have NAV.
Touareg :: Voltage Meter Zero And No Turn Signals
Has there been any definite solution to the problem of the voltmeter going to zero immediately after the Touareg starting up and loosing the blinkers, including the hazards. When the vehicle is running in this mode all the other electronics are working fine, I tried them all. The vehicle runs normally, just the volt meter at zero and no blinkers. Has happened three times in two and a half years. I would take it to the dealer but it wouldn't do it there and they would just tell me it is working fine. What can I do, or even tell them to fix it.

About 30 days after having my towing hitch installed at the dealer (and having driven 1,500 miles with no problems), my turn signals mysteriously stopped functioning while driving down the freeway. I took it into my dealer and they determined that there was a software patch that needed to be installed. It resolved my signal issues and the "canbus error"....

I love this car, but it makes me crazy at times. Was driving home from work last night and decided to stop at a sports bar for supper. Used turn signal to indicate right turn, looked at the dash, no indicator lighted on the dash, no 'tick, tick' sound.
Looked at the mirror housing, the turn arrow was flashing. The wife and I looked things over once we got parked, front turn signal worked (right and left), mirror housing worked and rear turn signal worked, but no dash indicators. As further information, brake lights worked, too.
Decided to 'reboot' the car. Shut it off, turn it on, no indicators. Went into the sports bar. Returned two hours later. Turned on car, used turn signal to indicate as we were leaving the parking lot, everything worked just fine...
Touareg :: Interior Turn Signals Are Not Working - No Clicking Noise
Finally I'm having my first issue with my Touareg! Coming to work today i noticed that even though i had flipped on my signal via the stalk, there was no mention of it on the dash and no clicking noise. I look off the reflection of the car in front of me and indeed me exterior turn signals work just fine. I get to work, shut off the car and turn it back on. Flip on the turn signal and the inside signal flashes once then goes off again. I again turn off and on the car and get the same result.

Sometimes the little arrow on the nav is white, and sometimes it is black. I can not determine why it changes back and forth. The black is very hard to see against the black background in "night mode".

I am having an issue with my speedo and the fuel gauge on my 2002.5 24v vr6. First it started with a speedo that would bounce and dance around. it went away then came back and so on for awhile. Then i notice the fuel gauge would go up or down and would flash that i need to fill as I would go around turns. Also the odometer doesnt work either. I know that the vss could be the cause.

I just recently replaced my front driver blinker and the replacement worked for about 5 days then it stopped working and the turn arrow started blinking fast again like when it was broken. I had to replace it cause a rock broke it before now I don't know whats wrong.

Just bought my 5th Vdub an 01 Jetta Wolfsburg with 1.8T and 5 speed manual. I bought it from a local dealer and found the speedo not working. they ordered parts for it to fix that and the front end. They tried to fix it by replacing the VSS. CEL was off when I first started driving it then came on shortly and began to stutter. I haven't hooked my vag-com yet because I just got home with it a little while ago. I think it may be a loose wire because it also beeps and fuel gauge goes to empty around corners. Typical areas to look for etc???

2001 Prius. It started few months back where I get all kind of codes and the heat gauge shows up for like 30 seconds then the Triangle and Check Engine shows up. I used to pull over and disconnect the 12V battery but I found later on that the car would keep going fine even with all the Gauges on. I did replace the air filter. The issue almost gone away when the weather got colder. I just had to reset the battery after 40 mile or so.
Now, the overheat light comes on and after few seconds, the car just lose power and wouldn't respond to the gas. I have to disconnect the 12V battery or sometimes I just have to turn the car off for a minute or two and that might clear the lights for the overheat. The other day I turn the heater on to see if that would cool the car. Inside the car it was hot as hell but when I pulled over and checked the Radiator water, it was as cold. Is it possible it is the transmission that gets hot? The car now as not having enough power even just when I drive it while it is still cold. The only code I get is c1259. unplug the 12V battery and plug it back in is not clearing this code.

Why, after so many repairs and $$$$ with a AAA Certified Repair shop, the temp gauge that sooner or later shows the needle HOT? Everything accounted for - thermostat 5x, radiator 3x, computer, maintenance, etc etc etc. " It's fixed !!" and then it's starts all over again. It's got 186,000 on it, couple of minor wrecks, all maintenance kept up, still driving it but the needle goes back up again and again. Funny thing, water levels remain the same, no smoke, no red engine light, slight smell of a hot engine but nothing else so far. Still, that needle!! This has been going on a couple of years. Want to figure it out before I get rid of the car. 2003 Civic Coupe DX ....

I been having this issue when I drive to 0 miles left on gauge, then fill it at gas station and it clicks like its full, but shows only 8.5-9 gallons? And fuel gauge shows 1 bar missing from full.

Took to dealer and they replaced gauge module and was ok for 2 fill ups but now its doing it again.

I am working on this 99 Nissan and the issue is that the gauge shows the truck is over heating ,so we changed the thermostat ,the temp sending unit and that other thing next to that,and flushed the coolant system and bleed the system with new antifreeze and fresh water for the correct mixture..The truck still says its over heating ,the top hose hot and the bottom hose not anything more then it is when the truck hasn't been running.The truck starts right up and seems to run very well,then the gauge maxes right out and then wait for it to cool according to the temp gauge and drive a bit more,with in a mile its over heating again according to the gauge..I checked the oil and its perfectly fine and normal !I am so lost here,the radiator is like new and the clutch fan works right ,checked all the hoses and they are not collapsing ,water pump replaced a year ago...

My 94 Camry 4 cyl fuel gauge seems to be broke. It always shows empty. The "fuel warning" light doesn't come on however. The last time it worked, I had about 1/2 tank and filled it up. It took several minutes for the gauge to creep up to full. It worked for a few days and then when i started the car this evening, the gauge showed empty and tays on empty.
What is the most likely issue here? I've read that it could be the sending unit, bad wiring or the gauge itself. All other dashboard gauges are working fine.

My gas gauge is intermittent. most of the time it reads right, but like 30% of the time it shows empty regardless of how full the tank is. What would cause this?
