Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Fog Lamps On Without Low Beams
I'm trying to get my fog lamps to turn on when my parking lights are on and low beams are off. I obviously want the foggies to be on when the low beams are on as well, but mostly I'd like to have the fogs and parking lamps on in tandem. Not illegal here in Illinois (not that I'd care anyway...there's enough corruption in the state to overlook such little things).
How to make this happen without a) voiding any warranty, melting anything, and c) blowing any fuses? Pictures would be most useful.
I'm hoping to make an easy fix (take wire A out here, put in slot B here, etc) so that my Sonata looks a little more...unique.
Oh yeah, 2010 Sonata V6 Limited.
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: No High Beams Working
I replaced the high beam headlight bulbs in my 09 Sonata, resulting in no high beams working at all. Took out the new and put the old ones back in. Still not working. Checked all the fuses, and the relays. No problems there.
View 3 RepliesSonata NF (2006-10) :: How To Adjust High Beams
For some reason, the search button isn't working. Anyhow though, I am wondering if there is a way to adjust the high beams on the Sonata? I know how to adjust the low beams but am at a loss regarding the high beams---the owner's manual only tells about how to adjust the low beams.
View 7 RepliesSonata NF (2006-10) :: How To Switch From Low To High Beams
Just purchased a 2009 Sonata and the dealer did not give me an owners manual. In a recent phone call he promised to be mailing one so with that said I've looked on countless forums about this tedious issue I am having. I can't seem to figure out how to turn my high beams on. All other lights are working correctly and from a diagram i read online its like any standard high beam, just pull the lever forward. I've tried every which way but can't even get the light on dash to turn on telling me the high beams are even available. I clearly see them in the front of my car. And driving at night they would make a big difference on those back roads.

I just ran into an issue with my 08 Sonata. Tonight while I was en-route to a emergency call, I came very close to hitting a dear. The low beams are angled almost to the ground and I don't know how to angle them up. I have to have my fog lights lit to see the road signs when my high beams are not on. Also need to know how to angle those as well.

I know some cars have an automatic feature that allows the low beams to tilt up or down by a very small amount. I don't think our car has this option, but is there a manual way to do this?
View 20 RepliesSonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: HID Low Beams Keep Blowing Fuses
So I installed my XS HID low beams and fogs a couple of weeks ago, and everything was working fantastic. However, when I installed my LED turns and load resistors, whenever I turn on the low beams, the inline 30A fuse pops. The HID fogs continue to work. The switchback turns work great, and I have never got any hyperflashing.
I have checked all the connections, and they all seem strong. I have used the diagram I found on here from exLEDshop outlining all the connections on the pin array for the headlight harness. I am tapped into the blue wire on the driver's side for + turn and the black for -, and the black w/orange stripe on the passenger side for + turn, and the black for -. If I accidentally have the load resistors connected to the wrong wire, would the turns hyperflash?
I know that it would be better if I used grounding points on the chassis for the load resistors, but could this be causing the short? Or could bad ballasts that are the culprit? The only reason I'm leaning away from it being the ballasts is because they worked fine until I put the load resistors in.

Any mod that will allow the fog lights to remain on when the high beams get turned on?

So I just put in 6000k hid's in my 2011 Sonata Turbo and I want to make my DRL's brighter as well as my high-beams brighter. Is this possible? Also, I'd like to make my fog lights match my HID's, but don't know if I should put HID's in there or LED's.
View 18 RepliesSonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Driver Side Headlight Went Out - Low Beams Aren't Working
So about a 2 weeks ago my drivers side headlight went out. I figured it was the bulb (even though I had just replaced them about a month prior). Got new bulbs and nothing. I checked the fuse and it was not blown. I made sure the electrical connections to the bulb weren't dirty and were connected properly.
Then last night my passenger low beam went out. I had changed the bulb when the other side went out 2 weeks ago. Its still brand new and not blown. I did the same thing, the fuse is not blown and the electrical connectors are clean and secure.
I just took my car into the dealer about a week before the driver's light went out and did their "Major Service". They did tell me that I would need to replace my battery soon. Could this be the cause?

I have checked fuse 46 and 47, and installed new headlight bulbs. I have high beams, but no low beams. I have searched this topic but no one has the same prob it seems. My headlight switch has broken. Could it be the headlight switch?
In my manual, it says the 2002 has a fuse panel behind the glove box. I took glove box out but it doesn't look like a fuse panel.
Camry :: Headlight Bulbs - 8000K In Low Beams And 3000K In Hi Beams
I want to replace my headlight bulbs; I want to install 8000K in my low beams, and maybe 3000K in my hi beams. But all of the bulbs that I ever installed either; A the burnt out within few weeks (lost color), or B they stopped working.
Now, regular WHITE bulbs seem to work forever; but the color ones, burn out/break. Low quality?? I need a pair of very good 9006 8000K, and 9005 3000K. Again, but I don't want to change them in a week or two. I want them to last!!

I switched everything from the passenger to the drivers side still nothing I switched everything back to passenger side and they don't work now. I tired regular bulbs in the passenger side an it worked then on the drivers side and it worked for a split second and went out and then I retried t on the passenger side and it worked for a split second and went out a now neither are working. Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Low Beams Went Out / High Beams Functional
After spending weeks ordering parts and doing research on this issue all my attempts have not solved the issue. To reiterate the issue, the high beams work, and the low beams do not. Thus far I have attempted the following without the desired result-
1. Changed the headlights out just in case both bulbs burnt at once.
2. Changed the blinker stalk in hopes of a faulty switch.
3. Changed the headlight switch to a brand new OEM Euro style switch.
4. Checked all fuses (did this first actually).
Accent RB (2012+) :: Low Beams Stay On With High Beams
The other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.
Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?
Ford Wiring/Electrical :: HID Low Beams But No High Beams
It ford related but I just bought a used car that has hid low beams and when you turn on high beams there is no light at all. The blue light on dash comes on and head lights go off. I just got this car 2 days ago and haven't really looked into it.
View 5 RepliesChevrolet - Equinox :: 2006 - Low Beams Working Intermittently?
We have an 06 Equinox, and lately the low beams have been working intermittently. Also, I don't think the running lights are working either. Low beams don't work on auto or in the "on" position. The high beams do work. We took it to the dealership yesterday and they said we had a bad resistor and replaced it for $270. Tonight my wife tried to drive home after dark and no headlights. She has to take this vehicle on a business trip soon.
