Touareg :: How To Disconnect Or Diminish Buckle Up Sound Warnings
We buckle up, but the sound is annoying before we do. Its low if we turn on the music loud enough. Also, it would be very convenient if the sunroof had a rain sensor to close it. The windshield wipers sensors are not as useful especially because these wipers make too much noise.

Just resantly start to get a problem on my 2014 RX350 hands free bluetooth phone. While i'm on the phone and receiving second call (call waiting) sound from car speakers disappeared and goes to my handset. Checked with HTC technical support and Lexus tech. could not solve this problem. Also while you guys on the phone and not moving, on navigation screen what do you see "handset" or "hands free" button? Because I have "handset" and I think it is suppose to be "hands free".

Initially my compass and all convenience features disappeared a few weeks back. They dealer can't seem to figure out how to bring it back. The did get my compass back though. It may sound insignificant but three features are now gone that I like. I shut off the horn beep when locking the car, one push on the keyless entry unlocked all four doors and when I shut the car off all four doors unlocked. These are now gone.

Recently had the car in the dealership for the OY Recall (software). Now, my compass has disappeared and it is not in the MFD Setup? I have tried searching but have come up with no results. Dealership said it the compass module is installed in the trunk near the passenger rear storage compartment and to clear out the trunk if it is overloaded-nothing is in my trunk.

I installed some aftermarket HID lights in my 08 passat. I took it to a local shop to have the drls turned off and the bi xenon turned on. All the warnings and bulb out lights went off, the lights fire up perfect. but for some reason now the lights (all of them, rear, dash, parking all come on with the ignition whether or not the lights are switched on or off.
I am sure a code got changed that causes that, but which code would activate all lights all the time? It's not DRls it all lights are on just like you turned the lights on manually.
Passat (B6) :: 2006 - Compass Suddenly Disappeared / Fuse Location
The compass on my car suddenly disappeared, and I need to check if the fuse has blown out. Unfortunately the fuse box diagram in the owners manual does not match up at all with the actual fuse box (had a similar problem previously with the 12volt outlet inside the car).
Which is the correct fuse location? 2006 2.0T .....
Tried calling my local dealer, and they gave me the standard answer: Bring it in and we will take a look at it... I find it ridiculous that they cannot just let me know the fuse location, given that they know that the owners manual is incorrect !!!

I just painted my caliper and now I hear some popping sound when I brake or when I completely stopped. if I bring it to the dealer will they denied the warranty because I painted the caliper?

Its been pretty cold up here and lately i find my car making a creaking sound when i brake coming to complete stop. I talked to a couple other guys in a Hyundai chat, and they said it was the Elantra frame in the cold.
Just wanted to get some others input, anything I can tighten up to make it go away, or bushings?? I am almost positive its not the brakes because i had them checked just before my winter tires went on.

ok so a week ago. I started having this problem with the passenger rear door. so I hit the lock button either in the car or on the remote. and the lock will go down to lock but springs back up half way and doesn't lock or arm the alarm. now today the driver's door started doing the same thing. i checked the floor's and all the drains anything is wet nor has it ever been wet. this random problem just came out of nowhere and its driving me insane. i go to get out of the car when the key is pulled out of the ignition all the doors unlock but the drivers. so I slam my shoulder into the door.

I have a 2003 V12 Phaeton with 50k miles. Wonderful car to drive but unending series of electrical and mechanical problems. On FM, the sound completely stopped. The receiver seems to be working since all radio stations are displayed on the screen. But there is no sound. AM and CD both work. The dealer took a look and told me that they couldn't pinpoint the problem and that I would have to replace the entire entertainment console.
Unrelated but also annoying, all within the last month: the horn stopped working (dealer can't figure out why), one of the windshield wipers stuck in the up position, drainage canals plugged resulting in backseat flooding after a heavy rain that shorted electrical connections in rear seat (the dealer said this was a widespread "design defect" in Phaetons and Audi A8's) and front passenger seat heater shorted burning a hole in the leather (and, almost, my wife's rear).
Passat (B6) :: Wipers Are Completely Inoperable
I'm at work, went out at lunch and the wipers are completely inoperable.
They worked on the way in now i get nothing, the washers work, Fuse 31 appears fine but I get nothing, no noise, no hum, nothing.

I have had neuspeed p-flo intake on my Passat for about 2 months now and I still can't manage to get the brakes to completely stop vibrating. I know it keeps rubbing up against the master brake cylinder, but how I should put it/ anything I can do to fix it?

1. Impossible to clean them completely. I've experimented with lots of brands and combos of cleaners and wipes - Armor All glass wipes, Invisible Glass (gets the best results so far), Windshield Wonder (wet and dry pads), newspaper, shop towels, microfiber, chamois (wet and dry), lint free towels. As much as I can, I wipe horizontally across the entire surface inside and vertically on the outside so I can see whats amiss. Nothing gets them totally clean, always some sort of streaks or residue show up when the sun or a headlight hits it just right.
2. They fog way too easily. This may be a symptom of the insane amount of snow and rain we've had in my area in the year I've owned it and the resulting overall humidity. But lately I have noticed the rear window begins to fog when the temp drops below 50 degrees F. All the windows fog if more then 2 people are in the car unless I have the A/C going. There is no wetness in the carpeting from a leak into the cabin. I don't know if any drains are clogged, nor do I know where to look for them.
I've owned a few VW's and they have all had the same types of issues compared to other car brands I've owned, but this Passat seems to be worse than other VW's. Or maybe I'm just more concerned with having a nice clean car now.
Passat (B5) :: 1998 Quit Accelerating Completely While Driving
Okay, I've had about enough of this car. Recently, while driving, the car quit accelerating completely. I believe the Check Engine light came on but I'm not sure; I was rather frustrated at that particular time. Anyways, I've heard a few different theories as to what it can be (i.e. coil park, fuel pump, pump relay, etc.) I've really not got a lot of money to work with at all and I'm on the verge of just selling it as is. The car now will not turn over. I recently replaced the battery and the lights and stereo, etc. work.

I have a 98 Passat 1.8T with 99,000 miles on her. The stripping on the either side of the windshield has just about completely disintegrated from the desert heat in Vegas. I have tried searching all over the internet but I can't find exactly what I need.

My friend bought an 05 passat and he is having issues. The windows completely fog up within 10 minutes and they wont defog. He has had it to the dealer and they have spent hours trying to figure it out and they even called VW trying to find answers and got nothing. They asked about moisture under the carpet and various things but nothing.

Any fuse/relay of any sort for the ac system. My ac stopped blowing cold completely, didn't even fade out. So I was wondering how is best to troubleshoot and also had questions if I could recharge the system myself if that be the problem.
