Passat (B6) :: Cannot Clean Windows Completely And Fog Way Too Easily?

1. Impossible to clean them completely. I've experimented with lots of brands and combos of cleaners and wipes - Armor All glass wipes, Invisible Glass (gets the best results so far), Windshield Wonder (wet and dry pads), newspaper, shop towels, microfiber, chamois (wet and dry), lint free towels. As much as I can, I wipe horizontally across the entire surface inside and vertically on the outside so I can see whats amiss. Nothing gets them totally clean, always some sort of streaks or residue show up when the sun or a headlight hits it just right.

2. They fog way too easily. This may be a symptom of the insane amount of snow and rain we've had in my area in the year I've owned it and the resulting overall humidity. But lately I have noticed the rear window begins to fog when the temp drops below 50 degrees F. All the windows fog if more then 2 people are in the car unless I have the A/C going. There is no wetness in the carpeting from a leak into the cabin. I don't know if any drains are clogged, nor do I know where to look for them.

I've owned a few VW's and they have all had the same types of issues compared to other car brands I've owned, but this Passat seems to be worse than other VW's. Or maybe I'm just more concerned with having a nice clean car now.

Prius 2016 (Gen 4) :: Rear Windows Roll Down Not Completely And Evenly?

So I have never rolled down the rear window to noticed until now. I was messing around with TechStream's option (turning on the pressing the remote unlock button 2.5 seconds to roll down all windows).

Anyways, it worked but when I looked at the rear windows, it doesn't roll down 100% like the front. There is about 1" left towards the front edge of the rear door left when it bottoms out. Also the left side (driver side) is bottoming out slidely higher than the rear passenger side (may be about 1/4" higher). Is this normal?

Passat (B6) :: 2005 - Persistent Extended Crank After Sitting Several Hours Or Only A Few Minutes

I have a 2005 Passat Wagon, V6, 2.8L. I purchased this car used about a year and a half ago with 10,000 mi. It now has 32,000. I have done all scheduled maintenance. About 8 mo ago I started noticing a problem when starting the car. It seems to take a while for it to "turn-over" while starting it up. We've taken it to two different VW dealerships to try and solve the problem. About 4 mo ago, one of the dealerships replaced the ignition coil. They were able to read a memory chip of some sort to identify the problem I was having. Since this repair however, the problem has begun again. There is no consistency. Hot or cold temp. After sitting several hours or only a few minutes. The problem happens about one out of every five starts.

Touareg :: Wind Buffeting When Driving With Sunroof Open And All Windows Completely Up

I get the worst wind buffeting (loud whooshing and terrible pressure) when driving with the sunroof open with all the windows completely up. And just yesterday I realized the roof opens up fully with some additional pressure (surprisingly hard pressure) after the lever is turned and I get the most unbelievable eardrum crushing pressure/ noise until I crack a window or two. I'm not kidding, its unbearable at pretty low speeds.

This seems like a serious design flaw (and should have been tested and corrected) not to mention extremely annoying as I can't use the sunroof without opening the windows.

Civic - Honda :: Unpredictably Shut Off Completely And Then Restarted Ten Minutes Later

I drive a 2002 Honda Civic 4 door DX.

In 2011 at intersections, the car unpredictably shut off completely and then restarted ten minutes later - this happened twice, spaced two weeks apart.

I took the car to two mechanics, one a Honda, where they simulated driving and performed diagnostic tests but could find nothing wrong.

I Googled the Internet in search of an answer and ran across a fellow who had experienced a similar shutdown with his car and resolved it by purchasing a new ignition switch. So I tried that. Everything was fine until two weeks when I stopped at an intersection and the car shut down again - the dashboard lights stayed on. A police officer nearby push the car to the side of the road and we then pushed the car back and forth a bit. About ten minutes later, the car started up again as if nothing had happened and everything was OK.

I again took my car to the Honda dealer, but they could find nothing wrong, including driving the car around the neighborhood.

I am a total loss as to what do to. I am reluctant to junk this car because everything else is A-OK. The car drives fine and I love it because it is manual with minimum digital stuff including manual windows. But I cannot afford to drive this car when there is the chance of another unpredictable shutdown.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: 2013 - After Driving About 20 Minutes Car Completely Stopped And Did Not Turn On

I bought a brand new 2013 elantra last year and currently has 20,000 miles on it. I had custom halos installed as my lights that turn on automatically when the car is on and is on continuously. I also have hids installed into the headlights.

Last week my battery sign came on when I turned the car on and after driving about 20 minutes the car completely stopped and did not turn on. Took it to the dealership and they first denied me warranty saying because of all the aftermarket stuff we cant touch this car for free. So I paid for the diagnostic which was $102 and after they told me that your alternator fried but they are not sure why. Would it be because of the halos and hids??

Prius (2004-09) :: No Air Coming From Windshield Vents / Won't Defog

Today I have noticed that my windscreen won't defogged. Normally it will just takes 30-40 seconds for it to clear. It seems the air that blow to the windshield has blocked or it won't channelled the air to the windshield vents. I tried to feel the air at the windshield vents, but couldn't feel anything. The air seems to comes from the front and the legs only no matter what button/switched pressed. I think the air conditioning amplifier may be faulty. I am thinking of replace it. I have searched the internet, but so far I cannot see any tutorial how to replace it.

Avalon 2005-12 :: 2011 - Oil Not Completely Draining

I could not drain the engine oil completely; only oil in the canister is drained.

When I changed the engine oil, I could not remove the drain plug (small cap in the canister) so I ended up unscrewing the canister first. When I removed the canister, I did not see continuous stream of oil draining. So I placed back the canister and managed to remove the small drain cap. As instructed in the replace oil box, I inserted the plastic piece into the canister but again only oil in the canister got drained; no continuous draining. I repeated this step a few times ( I started engine to fill the canister) and was able to remove some oil but still not all.

The question is; by unscrewing the canister and draining oil in the canister first, am I breaking siphoning effect? Is the reason why I cannot completely drain the oil?

While driving along my Expedition will completely shut down, ignition, all accessories, everything, for a few seconds then come back alive. It happens generally up hills or around right turns.

It is like the main ground strap is loose and losing contact momentarily. I don't know where to look for this. Engine was replaced 1500 miles ago. Battery and all visible connections seem ok.

ok so a week ago. I started having this problem with the passenger rear door. so I hit the lock button either in the car or on the remote. and the lock will go down to lock but springs back up half way and doesn't lock or arm the alarm. now today the driver's door started doing the same thing. i checked the floor's and all the drains anything is wet nor has it ever been wet. this random problem just came out of nowhere and its driving me insane. i go to get out of the car when the key is pulled out of the ignition all the doors unlock but the drivers. so I slam my shoulder into the door.

Passat (B6) :: Without Any Warnings, Sound Disappeared Completely

I own 2006 vw passat 2.0T with 10-speaker dynaudio system. One day my sound disappeared completely, without any warnings. I found an amp 3C0-035-456-A under the driver seat. I tried to bypass amplifier directly to one of the speaker (midrange). the sound came on in that speaker. Which makes me believe that my amp died. On the other hand i checked the fuses and even voltages. Green connector to amp gets 3 rails 9 of voltage supply. Each of them measured as 2.8V, which doesn't add up to 12V no how.( so maybe its a voltage problem i'm not sure).

Okay, I've had about enough of this car. Recently, while driving, the car quit accelerating completely. I believe the Check Engine light came on but I'm not sure; I was rather frustrated at that particular time.
