Passat (B6) :: 2006 - Compass Suddenly Disappeared / Fuse Location
The compass on my car suddenly disappeared, and I need to check if the fuse has blown out. Unfortunately the fuse box diagram in the owners manual does not match up at all with the actual fuse box (had a similar problem previously with the 12volt outlet inside the car).
Which is the correct fuse location? 2006 2.0T .....
Tried calling my local dealer, and they gave me the standard answer: Bring it in and we will take a look at it... I find it ridiculous that they cannot just let me know the fuse location, given that they know that the owners manual is incorrect !!!
Passat (B6) :: All Convenience Features Disappeared
Initially my compass and all convenience features disappeared a few weeks back. They dealer can't seem to figure out how to bring it back. The did get my compass back though. It may sound insignificant but three features are now gone that I like. I shut off the horn beep when locking the car, one push on the keyless entry unlocked all four doors and when I shut the car off all four doors unlocked. These are now gone.

I own 2006 vw passat 2.0T with 10-speaker dynaudio system. One day my sound disappeared completely, without any warnings. I found an amp 3C0-035-456-A under the driver seat. I tried to bypass amplifier directly to one of the speaker (midrange). the sound came on in that speaker. Which makes me believe that my amp died. On the other hand i checked the fuses and even voltages. Green connector to amp gets 3 rails 9 of voltage supply. Each of them measured as 2.8V, which doesn't add up to 12V no how.( so maybe its a voltage problem i'm not sure).

I don't know when it happened, but the compass does not show on my MFD anymore. I have been through all of the menus in the mfd and can't find anything about turning it on. Oddly enough, I can't find the menu for setting the area for the compass either. I do have a Vag-com but where to look using it.

For the past 4 mornings when leaving for work my compass (not satnav) in the MFD has been wrong. It has only said N or NE regardless of which way I am traveling.
I have about an hour-long trip to work. The car sits for about 4 hours then for lunch IT WORKS. For the trip home IT WORKS. Then the next morning... CRAP. I've tried shutting off the car and restarting first thing and half way through the trip. I've also tried stopping for 20 minutes on the way in.

I have a 2007 Passat with a compass that is registering 180 degrees off. North and South still register correctly but east and west are reversed.

'01 Prius with ~276K miles on it. (Not quite as old as it sounds...new traction battery at ~140K miles, basically new engine ~50K miles ago) The last month or two it has been driving great, getting above 50 mpg in the summer here in NC. However, every now and then I will notice while driving that the car will "catch," feel like something is causing it to decelerate for 2-3 seconds, feels like it kicks completely to the traction battery, and then I will accelerate and knock it out of whatever it was doing.
Well, this morning as I was driving, same thing -- maybe a second or two longer -- and the red triangle/warning light comes on out of nowhere. I drive it a couple of more miles, but it didn't feel like it was driving normally so I parked it. The person who I was going to meet come to where I was and the car sat there for about 7 hours.
As every worst possible scenario is going through my head during this time I am planning to tow the car somewhere (probably Taylor Automotive in Sanford, NC, a little more than an hour away from me), I get back to the car, turn it on and everything is normal. I was able to drive it about 15 miles back home and now I need to figure out my next move.
I would like to think it is a 12v battery issue -- not been changed in 6 years. It is giving some clues like last night when I shut the driver side door, normally the interior light should stay on a few seconds before cutting off, instead it cut off immediately...door locks are acting funny...anything that may drain the battery a little bit will cause a delay in the car starting the next time you turn the key.
I also wonder if it is an inverter issue. On our way to the beach a month ago when I pulled the car off the interstate for a break, left the car on and while the engine shut off I still heard a noise from the hood. Opened the hood and I believe the inverter was still running full blast. Never seen that before, nor again.
IS F (2008-2014) :: Volume Disappeared Suddenly
I just ran into the weirdest thing i have experienced with Lexus cars. I was driving today to work and listening to music not blasting it, and all of the sudden the volume disappears. I try to turn, but the volume numbers don't even appear, so i turn the radio, CD on off nothing. I even tried to push the voice command but not only did it not have volume but the prompt message didn't even come on. I tried to set a destination to see maybe the navi might talk but no luck. checked to see if menu vol was on and it was at the highest. Then when i got into my car tonight after work it started working, but in a few min again volume disappeared.

I have had a 2011 Camry XLE with Nav for about 6 months now. I have a small issue, however. I manually enter about 3 or 4 phone contacts into the system (I have no desire to copy all my contacts from my phone). After a few days the contacts will be gone. My wife and I both have iPhone 5's and they are both registered to the car. I don't know if this is an issue with a phone becoming "unconnected" and then "reconnected" or not.

A couple weeks ago, the "average fuel economy" display on my 350 F-Sport disappeared - when I'm looking through the different displays, it skips straight from "average speed" to "current fuel consumption". All the other displays are still there, so I'm not sure what caused this. I'm wondering if I'll have to bring it in to the dealership.
Some info about the car: It's a 2014 IS 350 F-Sport with ~6000 miles, and it just had its first service a few weeks ago (shortly before this problem started).
Phaeton :: Distance Remaining Disappeared On Nav Screen In Instrument Cluster
I've had a Phaeton since January and love it. I noticed yesterday that the "distance remaining" figure in the small nav screen in the instrument cluster has disappeared: it now shows "---" instead of, say, "150 mi." Refilling the gas tank hasn't made a difference. Why the car has started refusing to estimate? Since that's the display that shows all the time while driving, it's particularly noticeable.

I have a 2015 Hyundai Accent, and haven't had any problems with it whatsoever until this past weekend. I was driving with my Mom, driving her around to do errands, when all of the warning lights on the instrument panel flashed and then disappeared. My trip indicator also reset, even though I hadn't been using it at the time - I usually keep that button on the gas mile screen (the one that tells you how many miles you have left until you need to get gas). But when the lights flashed, the gas mile screen disappeared and reset to the first screen (the one for the trip indicator, which had gone back to zero abruptly). I'm not sure why this has happened. The car didn't stop or anything like that. I was actively going down the road at the time, going a decent speed. The only thing out of the ordinary was that there was a traffic helicopter above us (this was in an area that tracks speed by air radar), and I wonder if this happened because the helicopter hit us with the radar?

I've had my 2011 Harbor Grey Limited for about 1 month. Love the car but my wife noticed that after it was sitting out in the sun today the passenger B pillar had 3 small bubbles about the size of a dime. By the time that she got home the bubbles were gone and I cannot see any signs of them after closely inspecting the window. It was in the 50f today not very hot at all and not sure if the cold air on the drive home caused the bubbles to disappear.

The gear display on the right of my screen has disappeared. The display when in "M" works normally. and the transmission seems to work normally. I haven't done a thing to it except drive it. I'll be going in for an oil change in a few weeks but I'd like some input from the group about this.
