Jeep - Compass :: 2007 - High Beam Went Off And Not Working Anymore
My hight beam went off and doesn't work anymore ..my fuse box is the problem and i dont want to replace it cuz its too expensive maybe a chip inside not work right and in my car when i switch the gear to d the hight beam turns on On 6 volts day and night . Now its doesn't work ether the 6 or 12 volts .. How to fix it?

I tried to pull out my sun visor one day to get more sun protection and ended up yanking it out. I put the sun visor back on and my seat heaters, interior mirror/compass, cigarette lighter, exterior mirrors, and mirror heaters don't work. I guess What do I do about these small annoying issues??

Recently had the car in the dealership for the OY Recall (software). Now, my compass has disappeared and it is not in the MFD Setup? I have tried searching but have come up with no results. Dealership said it the compass module is installed in the trunk near the passenger rear storage compartment and to clear out the trunk if it is overloaded-nothing is in my trunk.

For the past 4 mornings when leaving for work my compass (not satnav) in the MFD has been wrong. It has only said N or NE regardless of which way I am traveling.
I have about an hour-long trip to work. The car sits for about 4 hours then for lunch IT WORKS. For the trip home IT WORKS. Then the next morning... CRAP. I've tried shutting off the car and restarting first thing and half way through the trip. I've also tried stopping for 20 minutes on the way in.
Passat (B5) :: AC Won't Work Anymore
I've been dealing with an A/C issue for a while, ever since last summer. A black on black car is hot enough as it is and with no A/C, it sucks. I took it to the local specialist, not the stealership, Anyway, he looked over it and found that one component wasnt even wired up so he wired it up and fixed it and put some freon in it and it seemed to work fine.... until the freon escaped.

Used to have the wipers move up or down about 1" at stop lights to reverse the blade and extend their life. Now, that doesn't seem to happen. I went into the convenience settings some time ago, but don't believe I changed anything relating to this.

This morning the sunroof on our 04 Wagon freaked out and now will not close, or go back into the roof. It is stuck about 1/2 lifted. Each time you move the dial it tries to close, then goes right back to 1/2 open. Nothing appears to be stuck anywhere in the mechanisms and we were driving while it happened.

The compass on my car suddenly disappeared, and I need to check if the fuse has blown out. Unfortunately the fuse box diagram in the owners manual does not match up at all with the actual fuse box (had a similar problem previously with the 12volt outlet inside the car).
Which is the correct fuse location? 2006 2.0T .....
Tried calling my local dealer, and they gave me the standard answer: Bring it in and we will take a look at it... I find it ridiculous that they cannot just let me know the fuse location, given that they know that the owners manual is incorrect !!!

I noticed that the map on the NAV does not show all the street names. It seems to display all the streets but names for only about 1/3 of the streets. Sometimes even major roads don't have labels. Is there a way to get all the street names to display? I've tried playing around with the settings but can't seem to find anything that will display more street names.

2006 2.0T with 86k miles. Anywho, a few days ago I attempted to start the car up & it felt as if the engine started up then immediately cut off & the red battery light would show up. I then tried to restart it up and it fired up successfully & the battery light immediately went away. well today, i drive it to my grandmothers house and have dinner, come back & fire it up and the same thing happens. only this time i had to try about three times to start it up successfully. I am aware of the whole steering column lock issue but it didnt say this at all on the mfd display screen. is it safe to drive around?

The computer apparently calculates the fuel economy per trip (or a series of trips if the car is stopped less than 2 hours) but I don't know how to get it to display the fuel economy for the tank full. Normally I'd reset the computer upon refilling but since it calculates per trip it doesn't calculate per tank. Fortunately the fuel gauge seems to be pretty accurate and each mark is approx 1 gal so I can do a quick approximation but I'm used to having the car do the tankful calculation. BTW, I reset on MFA 1, I've never reset on MFA 2 and that doesn't show tankful economy either.

not always, but the odd time I see out of the corner of my eye the compass flicker off and on. maybe 1-2 times a day... sometimes less than that. is this a common occurance?
