Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Ground Wire Rear ABS Speed Sensor?
So when it rains sometimes my ABS will go off till I drive it down the road a bit... Where is the location of the ground wire for this thing? I've checked up under it and no wires are cut or burnt... just wonder where this thing grounds to... if I can find that I may be able to clean it and fix the sensor.... because something makes me believe the sensor isn't bad, because some times it works for a half mile or so... before it goes back on.

Started my car up this morning and it felt like it was running on 5 cylinders and the check engine light came on.
I looked and a Rat had made a nest with foam insulation and chewed through a fuel injector wire.

Golf IV R32 :: Automatic Windows Connected To Rain Sensor?
Any way to connect the windows to roll up if the rain sensor detects rain drops? Just thinking that this would be a nice cool feature to have if there is a way to do it.

In my 1999 Jeep Cherokee, with a 4.0L inline 6, I need to find the color of the wiring harness wire from the pre-catalytic convertor oxygen sensor. I think it's the black with dark green strip, but I have found conflicting information on the internet and in my Haynes book.

I'm still trying to get my project 2001 Prius to attempt to start the ICE. I can drive the car around electric only, so MG2 is OK. I see a pulse of current going to MG1 as it does it's startup tests. So I'm thinking maybe the MG1 position sensor is faulty. Where on the transaxle the MG1 position sensor wire is located?
View 9 RepliesGolf/GTI VI :: Get Tyre Pressure Sensor Wire Through Firewall?
Trying, to retrofit the TPMS 'clearing' button for the system that uses ABS. Easy enough to fit the button, but need to run a wire to the ABS module. Took out the glovebox/cubby hole hoping it would reveal where the main wireharness goes through the firewall, but there is a big plastic unit behind the glovebox. It would have made life easier as the ABS is right in front of the glovebox but guess I'll need to take another route.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2005 - O2 Sensor Wire Disappears Above The Heat Shield
Didn't touch the downpipe during engine swap of my BEW TDI.
After swap, have code:
17524 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1 S1
P1116 - 000 - Open Circuit
The O2 sensor wire disappears above the heat shield above the exhaust. I am used to (Audi 1.8T, 2.7T, 2.8) seeing the O2 sensors coming up with plug on firewall.
Where is the O2 sensor wire going to.
I normally by the generic Bosch O2 if the SENSOR is bad (cut and splice), but suspect that maybe the problem (open circuit) is further 'upstream'.
Obviously, I am a TDI (and Golf/transverse engine) newbie, so bear with me.
Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: No ABS Sensor Wire On The Front?
I have an new to me 1999 4x4 F350 that I was giving a good once over today on the front end since it wanders a little bit. but anyways I didnt see a abs sensor wire on the front. the plugs are there behind the inner fender well and it looks like there is a plug when the sensor should go in the wheel bearing. was 2 wheel abs an option on these trucks? is there anything else this changes front end wise?

I have a 2002 Camry... So I stupidly connected the battery backwards, negative to positive, etc... Now there's no electrical at all, no dashboard lights, nothing. I see the 100a fuse is blown. Does this signify that the rest of my car was protected ? Will replacing that fuse probably fix the problem or when the battery is connected backwards does the rest of the electric get fried as well ?

I have a 2008 Camry SE with about 118K miles
I have replaced the Water pump and the temp sensor recently.
The problem is when you turn the thermostat control to hot on the HVAC dial only warm air blows and it is only warm when the engine is revved or going down the road.
My question is: Is the door on these electronically controlled or vacuum controlled? it is like the blend door gets stuck and is not closing fully or something.

View 1 RepliesDodge - Intrepid :: 1996 - Throttle Position Sensor Signal Wire Producing Voltage
Background: Check engine light indicated a problem with the throttle position sensor (unfortunately, don't have the exact code). The TPS on my model ('96 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L) is the non-adjustable type. There are three wires going to the TPS -- a power source, a signal wire, and a ground. The TPS acts as a potentiometer and depending on the throttle position, sends a voltage signal down the signal wire to the computer.
Here's my question/issue: After disconnecting the TPS, I tested the three wires with a multimeter. Power source (5V) and ground were fine. But I'm getting a voltage reading of about 4.35V on the signal wire. It's my understanding that with the TPS disconnected, I shouldn't be getting any voltage on that wire. Does that sound correct? If so, what would be causing me to get a voltage reading there? I'm assuming some type of problems with the wires, maybe an exposed wire on the signal wire somewhere?
Camry :: 2003 - Fog Lights Not Connected / Wires Dangling In Front Bumper

View 4 RepliesCamry :: 2008 Hybrid - Speed Sensor / Check VSC System Warning Light And C0210 Error Code
I have a 2008 Camry Hybrid and recently got a "Check VSC System" warning light. A diagnostic resulted in a C0210 error code. The code is for a right rear speed sensor malfunction.
I had a local shop look at it and he replaced the hub accembly including the speed sensor. It didnt work. He and I took a ride and on his diagnostic tool, the speed reading for the right rear wheel was all over the place.
The next day he replaced it thinking that the new sensor was bad. This worked, however only for a day. Now the light had come on again with the same error.
Toyota - Camry :: Heated O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2 Is Failing
I just had an OBD code pulled on my 2010 Camry and it turns out that my Heated O2 sensor for Bank 1 Sensor 2 is failing. I'd rather do this myself if I can but I can't figure out where this thing is. Is this something I can access myself and swap out? Or does this need to be fixed by a mechanic?
