Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Oil Pressure Sending Unit?

know where the Oil Pressure Sending Unit is located on a 2011 Corolla. I am planning on taping into that so that I can attach a bypass oil filter that will slow filter the oil down to 2 microns. Although in doing that, I will not ever have to change the oil again, but only change out the filters and top the oil off. I will occasionally need to send in an oil sample to make sure that there is no degradation in the oil.

Ford :: 1999 E-150 4.2L - Lost Oil Pressure Sending Unit

The oil pressure gauge is dancing on my 4.2L '99 Ford E-150 (V-6) and at times the oil light comes on but there's no rattling or other signs of oil deficiency in the engine. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the sending unit and did an oil change today but for the life of me couldn't find where it's located. I looked all around the filter when I replaced it but to no avail. The Haynes manual and internet pics I find are not recognizable parts in them to reference. I can't tell if they're looking under the car, on top, driver's side etc.

Golf IV R32 :: Small Oil Pressure Sensor Sending Unit

Looking for a "small" sending unit that works with an electrical gauge. When I mean small I'm talking smaller than 2 inch diameter and 3.25 inches long.

I have a sending unit with those dimensions and would like something more compact if at all possible. The range needed would be 0-100psi.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2008 F350 - Trans Temp Sending Unit Replacement?

The trans temp guage on my '08 F-350. V-10 started acting erratically, and the wrench icon popped up on the display. i crawled under the truck to look for the sending unit and it's lead. i assume that i found the lead. it is encased in a corrugated sleeve, and appears to be a vaccuum type tube and boot connector? the boot still had a small round gray cap plugged into it. it appears that the cap was never glued (go figure) upon assembly. i have tried to reach up on top of the trans to find the sending unit to figure out the best angle of attack. i can barely touch it with the tip of my finger. going with mechanical guages is out of the question at the moment, so i'm wondering can it be driven any distance this way, AND any schmooze tricks developed to get at the sucker without dropping the cross member or exhaust????

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Oil Pressure Switch (Sending Unit) Location On E350

Will the oil pressure switch (sending unit) on my E series van be in the same location as on an F series truck even though the van's oil filter is under the engine instead of on top? I'm referring to the single wire sender for the dash gauge.

Ford - Explorer :: 1993 - Fuel Gauge Misreading - Fuel Sending Unit Replacement?

I have finally gotten my 93 Explorer back on the road. Now I have a few things that I am trying to get fixed.

The first things that I need to get repaired is my Fuel Sending Unit replaced. How hard is this and what kind of pitfalls am I looking at.

The problem that I am having is that my fuel gauge is never right. The other day I ran out of gas, but the gauge said full. Go firgure.

Anyway I have been told that the problem is my sending unit in the fuel tank. So is there any advise on this repair.

Trans Sport :: 1993 - Heater Not Blowing At Any Speed

I had an intermittent heater blower problem for a few years. Yesterday it turned into a full time heater blower problem. I unplugged the connector to the fan motor, and ran a power feed and ground to the fan motor terminals. It blows strong! I located the low speed relay under the glove box. I switched it with the adjacent horn relay, like was suggested. No go! What else can it be?

Trans Sport :: 1993 - Windshield Washer Tank Goes Empty Without Any Use

"93 TS. I'm coming again with this mystery: I fill the windshield washer tank full.....and without any known reason, after a long trip...without any use of the washer...the tank goes empty. I've tested everything: disconnect the pumps electric supply, testing the tank for leaks, testing the pump seals for leaks.....all with flying colours. I just know that for no reason (that I can imagine) ...the tank goes empty.

I have theorized that vacuum created by speed at the rear of the vehicle would suck fluid from the rear nozzle !!! ...but have not verified that theory by pinching the rear feed tube....I should try.

Trans Sport :: 1993 - Noisy When Starting Out From Stop / Late Shifting To 2nd Gear

1993 Transport 3.8 L

Starting out from stop it seemed to get noisy and was very late shifting to 2nd. Slowed down and tried again; this time it did not want to shift to 2nd at all. Brought it home slowly.

Trans fluid was right up. I did another road test, running it manually through the gears so I could easily hear and feels the shifting. 1-2-D-OD perfect; did this twice of thrice. Starting out from stop on the highway a couple times, it shifted up perfectly. I did some kick-downs and manual shifting; everything is working fine.

Could this have been a linkage problem? Could running it manually through all the gears smarted up the linkage or something? Could it be related to the 'modulator valve'?

Trans Sport :: 3.8 GT - Low Oil Pressure On Dash Gauge Stays In Red Zone At Idle

I just noticed the oil pressure gauge on this Pontiac TS GT stays in the red zone at idle and climbs a little out of it at 2000 rpm and higher (never over the first unit). There's no other warning light or error in the dashboard - just the scary oil pressure gauge.

We brought this car home for repairs after a 600 km trip (370 miles) without any issues in mountain roads or hot weather. Engine temperature was well below the first quarter mark, acceleration was great and there was no strange sounds whatsoever...

When first started cold engine has no lifter or tapping noise. What would be the most obvious sign of oil starvation/low pressure on this engine?

Is there any way to confirm it beside the dash gauge? With this 3.8 engine what would be the most probable cause for this:

1. defective oil pressure sensor
2. failed oil pump
3. worn crankshaft bearings
4. worn camshaft bearings or other cause

Ford - Explorer :: 1996 - Replaced Sending Unit - Overheating?

I had to replace the temp gauge in my 1996 Explorer. I also replaced the sending unit. Now, it is overheating, badly. I replaced the thermostat, twice. Filled the coolant and removed the air in the system. It seems to get good water flow, and there are no coolant leaks. The radiator looks clean, and the cap looks ok. But, as soon as the engine warms up, it goes right past the midline on the gauge all the way to hot - at idle. It gets worse if I drive it. I have grounded the gauge and it seems to be working fine. What could the problem be?

Venture :: 2002 - Fuel Level Sending Unit - Failure Mode

Been reading about the various ways a fuel level sending unit can fail; think I have a first!

Purchased a new sending unit on eBay for less than $25; dealer wanted over $70!

Dropped the tank, pulled out the pump, and took a close look at the unit; at first, I thought I had play in the bushing as others have found.

However, looking closer, turns out one of the two springed 'tangs' that ride up and down on the potentiometer had broken off, and was not making contact with the board! No amount of fuel additive would have fixed this!

1 hour job to complete the job, and everything works as it should! Terrible pic, but the tangs are inside the black square, and the one farthest from the pivot point is broke....
