Touareg :: 2004 - AC Not Blowing Enough Air
My 2004 Touareg is not blowing enough air through the a/c. Even if I set the fan at manual the flow of air is not hard enough thus cooling the air takes forever. The dealer mentioned some plastics flaps behind the main dash that are broken!!!! Also in order to change those they claim to have to take out the whole dash minimum 8-10 hours of labor. does it make sense?????

Just put in a new 12v battery but when I try to connect the ground cable, I'm getting sparks, indicating a current draw. And the horn starts blowing nonstop.

Problem started several weeks ago when after starting vehicle the battery light came on and vehicle would not accelerate. Turned off vehicle and restarted and ran fine for a week. Last week same problem, but occured mutiple times at one location. Eventually got vehicle going and drove it homehome Vehicle ran fine the whole time. Now when starting it runs for about 15 seconds (with battery light out) and shuts off. When trying to keep running by feathering the accelerator it has no power and eventually dies. Ran VAG-COM but got no faults.

2004 V8 Touareg. Was getting all the "low voltage" error messages. "workshop fault" "headlight adjust" "brake system". Then one day I used my second key and get a "Key Battery not Found" message.
Dealer says the "low voltage" error messages have to be reprogrammed out of the computer and cannot be simply cleared. FYI I have a vagcom. They say there is no fix and I can either pay for a new battery or come back in to have them reprogram when they come up again. Is this true? New battery makes no sense to me as the battery is only two yrs old. Seems like quite the hassle as any cold weather and not starting up the car for a couple of days and I got to make a trip to the dealer. Is there a fix for this?
"Key Battery not Found"- Never saw this message until I used my second key. It obviously has a key battery since it opens the doors. Dealer is stumped and they wanted me to pick up the vehicle telling me that it was fine and the message didn't mean anything.
Prius (2004-09) :: Fuse For Tail Light Keeps Blowing
I have an 04 prius. Recently my tail lights went out. Change fuse worked good for a few hours kept a close eye.
Next day 10a fuse blew again and then 2 more times in same day. My tail lights go out and license plate light go out together when this happens. What can I do?

I have 04 Passat and my passenger side fog light bulb keeps blowing up I had to replace it 4 times already. Same thing happened when I upgraded to PIAA H3 yellow bulbs as well. I checked all connections, wiring and everything looks ok.

My car has had issues with the "low coolant" light coming on for over a year. No one could ever find a leak, the coolant level was always pretty good, and I never had a puddle.
Recently, my mechanic suspected it was the heater core. Since I earn early childhood teacher wages, I couldn't afford to have it fixed. As a temporary solution, he bypassed the heater core in order to buy me some time. Now, I have no heat or defrost. But also, the leak has gone out of control! I have to put coolant in daily, and I always have a puddle under my car when I am leaving work at the end of the day.
My car's newest trick is smoke, coming from under the hood, and the fresh smell of burning coolant. However, temperature is fine, at least that's what the gauge says.

I have an 04 toureg v8,the abs light came on after i run over a curb i took the car to the dealer and is been like 58 days and they donno what's wrong with the car! last time they change the whole abs computer and light still came on again.

So, my buddy has an '04 Touareg. He went to the local dealer (who are well known for ripping people off) since he had the brake sensor light on. They told him he would have to replace his brake pads AND the rotors as well, for the 4 wheels, coming up to almost $2K. His car only has 36k miles, and I told him I thought they weren't being honest. Why would rotors go bad so early? He drives like a little girl, with no strong braking at all, in dry conditions... He hasn't seen any signs of vibration or lethargy regarding braking, the only indicator being the sensor light. I am trying to convince him on getting a second opinion before he gets mugged by the dealer.

Was driving down today (4 hour trip) my AC is not blowing cold air at all... I had the temp set to 62 and fan speed all the way up and i can barely feel it with my hand... Feels like no air coming out of the vents but the air is set to the highest speed, i can definitely hear the fan blowing but no air (very weak air).
After park our car for about 2 hours, on our trip back the AC worked again... i was able to get nice cold air at fan speed 2... but it only lasted 2 hours, half way into the return trip... same thing happened!! Fan speed all the way up, temp set to LO and still very weak air and temp feels like 78.
Touareg :: AC Blowing Out Warm Air
I turned on my AC... set the temp to 62 degrees (pressed AUTO and pressed the button where all the AC controls are all the same temp) ... And its blowing out warm air.. Left it running for about 5 minutes and still no sign of cold air.... Am I doing something wrong? do i not know how to turn on the AC?

I have a 2004 4.2. Touareg A/C is only blowing warm air. I ran Vag-com no codes. I used a gauge to check refrigerant ,the system was empty. I added refrigerant, i could see it increase and then decrease immediately. The A/C then work for a while then started blowing warm again. Used the gauge again ...empty. I then noticed clear oil on the ground. There is a drip from underneath front drivers side , looks like from a small silver canister by radiator.
I'm thinking about adding dye and looking for the leak. Is this A DIY fix or should I just take it to a mechanic. I've replaced the timing belt, brakes, drive shaft and a few other repairs. I hate taking this car to a mechanic, they always have issues.
Touareg :: 2004 - Check Engine Light Came On
We have a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg . 1000 miles ago the check engine light came on and the dealer (I will never go back again) said the catalytic converters were shot. We were going to get second opinion but when we picked up the car the engine light was off....so 1,000 miles later it came back on. Is it a good for us to buy a diagnostic tester and see what the issue is ourselves then take it to a mechanic and have them fix that exact issue?

My 2006 F150 was purchased by me in early 2009 with about 28,000 miles on it. It's an XLT crew cab 4X4 with the 5.4. Stock except for a leveling kit and an aftermarket head unit. It currently has about 59,000 miles and has been babied since I purchased it. About 3 years ago I started noting some issues:
A. Oil pressure dummy gauge is all over the place. Some times it will show no oil pressure. Other times it is all the way to the highest mark. Other times the needle has gone 180 degrees past where normal is and is actualy pointing straight down towards the floor.
B. Recently my alternator dummy gauge has started doing the same thing as my oil pressure gauge.
C. The backlight behind my odometer works intermittently, but mostly not at all.
D. My dome light will flicker when first turned on. It doesn't matter which door is opened or if the override switch it turned on. It takes several seconds to come on and will flicker like there is a poor connection somewhere, but stays on once its on.
E. Blower fan will occasionally stop blowing. Once the climate control switch is turned to off, then back to on it resumes working. This doesn't happen often, but does occasionally.
Fortunately, the truck has not left me stranded and I want to keep it that way. We are getting ready to sale my wife's Toyota and this will become her daily driver. I want to take care of any issues before she starts driving it. Are these all separate issues or is there one common issue which could be causing them all?
Touareg :: AC Occasionally Blowing Warm
Brought my Touraeg in due to a/c occasionally blowing warm. Works 95% of the time. Also, while driving pops up warning light that says "Electronics: Consumers being shut off" this seems to somewhat coincide with the a/c issue. Dealer just called and said I have leaves in my system and need new pollen filter---- and not covered by warranty--- Does not make sense to me-- first we have covered parking and limited leaves in area--- also if leaves then why would it work perfectly sometimes and not others?

Just got a Touareg 04 v6 it got something that im not quite shore of. The foot light stay on when i turn the headlight is that normal. IF it is how can i just make them turn on by opening the door. Also when i turn the car on the a/c turn on sometime, the last question is the engine fan would stay on in high speed. I change the water temp sensor on the back of the engine block and still the same problem. My friend it telling me that we my have to change the fan assembly becouse the fan comp it might be bad.

Alright riddle me this my friends. Have an 04 V8 with about 6000 miles. This evening I was leaving a friends house and I turn on the ignition and I get a warning light indicating a bulb is out. Well it was my passenger side main beam! I thought xenons were to last much longer than standard bulbs.
Well anyway I go and get some dinner, and on the way out of the restaurant I hit the button and both lights come on! So they now seem to work fine, but why did the one bulb shut down for a while?
Touareg :: 2004 - ESP Light Comes On After Start Up And ESP Console Button Lit Off?
I had my 04 Treg vagged over a year ago to turn off the seatbelt chime and turn on the DRLs when the hi beams are on. I have not have any problems related to the Vag. This week my ESP loght went on so I brought it to the dealer (a new dealer, who has not worked on my car before). Tech states that the Vagging may have screwed up the codes and caused the ESP fault and some of the other strange things that have happened such as Key Battery Not Found and my audio cutting out for 10 minues last week. He said he could not reset the codes because he did not know the factory defaults. He stated he turned my DLRs on when, in fact he actually turned them off.
Before he noticed the Vagging, he changed the Clock Spring. However, the ESP light returned on and they returned the car to me with the ESP light still on. The ESP light goes off when I start the car and initiall drive but it then returns on. Also, the ESP button on the console is lit off stating that ESP is off.
Prius (2004-09) :: No Startup After Aux Battery - Ready Light Does Not Appear
I have 2004 Toyota Prius 110k miles on it. New auxilary battery on it. VSC, Brake and Red triangle lights are on. The car wont start. System comes on, but ready light doesn't not appear.
If I discoonect the battery for a minute and connect it back, I am able to start and drive it. After a minute VSC, brake light comes on. I still can drive the car and it drives perfect. As soon as I shut it off, I won't be able to restart it again. I have to disconnect the battery for a minute to get it started. Inverter pump seems to be working fine.
I got the codes with the paper clip VSC 43, Brake 36. After resetting the codes, I drove the car and now it throws VSC 51 code.
Check engine light is not on. When I checked with OBD scanner, it does not show any codes. When we checked with shop's scanner, there was a code smth "LOST COMMUNICATION WITH HYBRID..."
