Intrigue :: 1998 - Hard To Start When Warm?

I am having a problems with my intrigue... Hard to start when warm i checked the pressure reg vac hose found no fuel so im not sure if that is the problem. I have the 3800S11 engine. sometimes it will start when warm other times i need to push the gas a little to get it to start.

Intrigue :: Can't Stay Running After Starting When Engine Is Warm - No Codes

I have a 1998 Intrigue with over 225,000 miles. It seems to run well for the most part. However....

After I have driven the car for a while and gotten it up to temperature, if I stop and let it cool for a while, when I go to start it up again, it will start easily and then immediately die. Almost like the fuel got cut off. My work around at this time is that if I manually keep the rpms up using the gas pedal it will stay running. If I take my foot off to quick it will still die but if I can do it or 20 to 40 seconds it will stay running.

Other clues:

There are no codes.

If I only drive for a shorter time, when I go to start the engine it will start but it will rev up and down (sometimes for up to ten seconds) before settling down to the proper idle.

When I start the car in the morning, it will start right up but tends to rev above 1200 rpms for about a minute or two before it will settle down.

What has been changed in the past couple of years:

IAC
MAF
EGR
Crankshaft Sensor
Wires (but not plugs)

Also the throttle body was cleaned pretty thoroughly. The guy who did it did think that the throttle body gasket was kinda iffy but intact.

I checked the FPR but no fuel leaked from it even after running the engine for five minutes.

Injectors could be going bad, maybe?? But wouldn't that cause problems other than just at a warm start?

Intrigue :: 1999 - Steering Wheel Lock

My son's Intrigue had an issue with the steering rack, and it was replaced. I noticed that the steering wheel didn't lock when the problem occurred and even though the rack was replaced, it still isn't locking. If the ignition were in the column, then I would suspect that the cylinder needed to be replaced, but it's in the dash.

Intrigue :: Code P0442 - Small EVAP Leak

So I have had this code P0442 for a long time and I just kept clearing it. The attached picture (at an angle) shows the hole in the small line attached to the fuel neck filler exactly behind where the plastic wheel well cover touches it. Just ordered a new one from rockauto for about 65 shipped.

Intrigue :: Code P1811 - Transmission Going Into High Pressure Mode

About 11 months ago I had hard shifting with the 2000 Intrigue.. Local Tranny shop diagnosed P1811 and replaced the pressure control solonoid. Then about 10,000 miles later problem occurred again. Transmission shop said they would either redo the solenoid or rebuild the transmission. I asked for a new solenoid.

Now today I'm having P1811 again. Clear it for a week and it comes back. Transmission is going into high pressure mode making driving very harsh.

PCS Solenoid shows operation at 60% duty cycle with approximately 1 volt signal. Shifting times are about 0.4-0.5 whenever I have a scan tool on it. What is reasonable shift times for the 4T65E?

Oldsmobile - Intrigue :: Transmission - Vehicle Won't Move When Cold / P0742 Code

2000 Intrigue 144,000 miles.

When you first start it up, the vehicle won't move in any gear. After a while of idling, it may start to drive, but the engine RPMs are way too high for the corresponding speed that you're driving. 4000 RPMs to hold 45 MPH.

Could this be the input piston? I've heard those wear and then don't seal well, bleeding off fluid pressure. Torque converter?

Also, the one diagnostic code is P0742 - TCC stuck on. I realize that this could be unrelated to the vehicle not moving when cold.

Prius (Gen 3) :: Can't Lock The Door When Start Up To Warm It?

how can I unsure someone won't drive off with car when I start up to warm it? I mean I can't lock the door with it running. Not going to install a remote start (if that's even work) Wish it would not drive when put into gear to ward off thief, without key fob. Is there a solution? 2015 regular Prius.

Avalon 2005-12 :: 2009 DS Door Lock Fails When Car Parked In Sun On A Warm Day

I'm posting for my Dad who recently bought a black 2009 Avalon XLS. He loves the car but there's one annoying glitch: if the car sits too long in the sun, the driver's side door cannot be opened with either the FOB or even by inserting the key in the door. He then has to go around to the passenger side, and either climb over the centre console or reach over and manually unlock the door. What surprises me is that he can't even mechanically unlock the door with the key.

I've spent a lot of time research this, but I've been surprised at how little I've found. Eventually I came across similar complaints with black Toyota or Lexus door locks failing in the heat, but nothing for the 3G Avalon and "heat failures". To confirm, this problem only arises when the car is parked in the sun on a warm day.

Passat (B5) :: 2002 - Cat Warm Up Threshold Low Code / O2 Sensor

I have a 2002 GLX Wagon 2.8 30v, and was getting Cat warm up threshold low code, on the driver side due to the cat being bad. As a temp fix I decided to use spark plug haulers to gap the sensor. When I removed the O2 sensor I wiped the dirt off with a paper towel, which was clean and dry. I put the sensor back on, but now I am getting 4 codes which won't go away. p0036 p0056 p0141 p0161. These are O2 heater circuit codes both bank 1 and 2. I did not touch bank 2 so I don't know how I could have caused this error. I tried to take off bank 2 sensor but it is really stuck on there.

Prius (2004-09) :: Code P0301 - Cylinder 1 Misfiring During Warm-up

I have a 2009 Prius that I purchased 6 months ago and have been really happy with it until the last couple of months. As the weather is getting colder appears I have a misfiring problem on start-up

I have had this problem now for a little while and have been trying to get it understood before paying $$ at the dealer for "maybe" solutions.

It started as the weather got colder. Intermittently the check engine light would come on. Then after a few days would go off.

I have considered water in the line: fuel injection cleaner/antifreeze

I have considered bad gas in the tank: problem persists several fuel tanks later

I have recently purchased a trouble code reader/diagnostic that plugs into my laptop. Trouble code is p0301. Cylinder 1 misfire.

I have taken it in to the shop.They tried:

>>moving the ignitor coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 4,
>>and also tried moving the spark plug from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2.
>>performed compression test. Ok

The dealer suggests replacing the injector line for $1400+.( They did this with warm engine. They have not diagnosed cold engine yet. That is new, read more,...) I still have 5K kilometers left on the power-train warranty. If it is power-train I would like it resolved before warranty expires.

Now. Some new info as of yesterday:

Up till now I was not using the diagnostic monitor real time. but that started yesterday,... Last night when I got home from work while the engine was still warm I connected the diagnostic monitor and went for a drive. Every few minutes I would pull over and refresh the cylinder misfiring data. I had hardly any misfires across all the cylinders at all. Maybe 1 or 2, here or there over the span of a 10 minute warm engine ride. Up and down hilly terrain. Nothing that came close to triggering the p0301 trouble code. I parked the car outside and let it rest overnight.

Ford A/C :: Warm Air Started Blowing - Error Code P2195

Just the other day my A/C had started to blow hot air, so I looked online and was told to try and re-charge it by a few people so I went and bought a can of that r-134a recharge and as it was on the low port the gauge was not reading like any of the guides I saw, as it did not stay at just one # it would go from 25 then back up to 40+ then slowly back down and just kept going up and down, I am assuming as the compressor was kicking on.

So I did not charge it at all because the PSI said to be in my car at the temp was 45 and if it was doing this but going 25-40 and back I did not want to over fill it.

So then this morning after doing that last night my engine light comes on, but I was told that the a/c will not effect this but I had it checked and I got an error code (P2195) "lack of heated oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1 H02S11 switch sensor indicates lean" with a few causes that may be the reason.

Should I go ahead and charge the a/c? will this cel code have anything to do with the a/c? and also why was the gauge changing like that and not at one steady number? Could it be because the car is running hot and maybe I need to check the anti freeze/coolant?

Yaris/Scion & Vitz :: 2003 - High Idle With Warm Engine - Getting Code P0511

I have a 2003 Toyota Echo 1.5. About a year ago the cel went off and on intermittently and I got a p0511 code. For the past few months, the light has stayed on steadily except for a 2 week period when it stayed off. When the cel is on , the car idles slightly low for about a second just after start up. When the engine is warm, it idles steadily about 400 rpm above normal idle. When the cel is not on, the idle is perfect both at start up and when the engine is warm. I did take off the IAC and cleaned it, but it already looked spotless inside and seemed to operate smoothly.

Intrigue :: 2000 GLS - Hard Start After Several Cranks

So I've had this problem for a while, tried a few fixes to no avail. My wife's car is a 2000 Intrigue GLS, and for quite a while now it has been a hard start. You turn the key, starter cranks up and you have to give the engine several good cranks before it sounds like it picks up. Even then quite often it will simply die as soon as you let go of the key, or else drop down to about 200 RPMs and then rev back up.

After this you can start again no problem, or sometimes it will seem to idle a little rough until you start driving. I have replaced spark plugs, cam/crank sensors, fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body and the O2 sensor, none providing any solution. It typically will start better if it has only been off for a very short period, but if longer than a few minutes will still be hard to start.
