For the second month I am experiencing abnormal menstrual pain. the area of both my ovaries hurt ... I took some painkiller to stop the pain and it helped, but usually this is not the case with me. Usually I feel pain the first 2 hours when I get period, and the pain is not so strong... I just have to lay down and I feel better. But for the past two months, the pain so strong I had to take painkillers and it is lasting more than 3 days. What does that mean?

View 5 RepliesGallbladder Removed :: Constant Bruise Type Pain Comes And Goes.
Ok I had my gb removed October 15. Prior to my op I would have occasional constant pain in gb/liver area this could last days at a time and was different from an attack as I could still carry on my daily tasks but always aware of this gnawing bruise like pain. I assumed this pain would go after op I'm thankful I no longer have those awful attacks but this pain still comes tho not as often as before.
Does anyone have the same? Should I be worried? Or is it just something I need to put up with? I had liver function and renal bloods done recently and all were normal.
I've also since December started to have burning stomach pain in upper abdomen but that probably isn't connected just thought I'd mention in case someone has had similar since removing gallbladder.
Thank you
Broken Pinky Toe - Heel Pain - Bruise Or Plantar Fasciitis?
I broke my pinky toe and was walking more on my heel. Now the inner edge of my heel hurts a lot with either walking on it or just even pressing on it! Is it more of a bruise (& treat accordingly) or is it plantar fasciitis?
View 1 RepliesPolycystic Ovary Syndrome :: Ovary / Stomach Burning Flare Up
I'm 37 years old. I've been diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) when I was 25. My symptoms include: weight gain, water retention, leg swelling, hair loss, awful hirsutism, bloating, periodically growing cysts, and periodic urinary tract pain.
I don't eat red meat and dairy. I try to limit processed carbohydrates consumption (bread, pasta etc). I sometimes eat soy products but they don't go well with my thyroid. I don't exercise enough.
All the above mentioned symptoms have gotten worse in the last 13 months. I have a "beard" that I need to remove at least twice a week. I went from 125 lbs (56 kg) to 139 lbs (63 kg)! I can't fit into my clothes at all. My calves get so swelled during the day, I gave up wearing boots in winter and wearing skirts, because the look huge.
Right now, I'm having one of my "flairs". My right ovary is burning and so is the rest of my abdomen, urinary tract included.
Doctors are always happy with my results. And oddly enough my blood tests always come back normal. Hormones included, except the estrogen that seems to be on the (acceptably) lower side. I haven't tested my levels of DHT. (My doctors never prescribe that test. Well, they never prescribe the one for estrogen; I paid for that one myself a few weeks ago). Whenever I have an ultrasound they confirm the PCOS as well as the fact that my right ovary is enlarged. But they’re never worried.
My thyroid therapy seems to be off. My endo changed it two months ago, from levothyrox to euthyral (combination of T3 and T4). And I don't feel great. I always feel a lump in my throat. I'm experiencing lack of energy and enthusiasm (too little thyroid hormone), along with occasional heart palpitations (too much thyroid hormone). It was supposed to make me feel better and help the weight loss. It made me feel worse with the mixed symptoms of hypo and hyper thyroid.
I'm thinking about fasting (juice/water), going raw, eating only during 8H a day (mostly veggies nad fish), eliminating gluten all together.

View 1 RepliesMenstruation :: Lower Abdominal Pain, Back Pain, Light Bleeding
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a few months now... However, this past period has been very weird. I got my period the day after I was supposed to this month but it only lasted a day or two and it was very LIGHT bleeding and cramps which is abnormal for me. It stopped for about four days and then I started noticing small clots of blood and light bleeding along with lower back pain and lower abdominal pain. I made a doctors appointment and he did a pelvic exam and said as far as he can tell everything seems normal but would like me to come back and do an ultrasound just to be sure... However, I do not want to go due to financial issues. It has now been about 2 weeks that I have been having spotting, light cramps, although today they are much worse, headaches, and tiredness. I have not been nauseated and I have not had a fever or anything... Has this happened to anyone before??? I am just so worried that whatever this is will stop me from being able to get pregnant. My Mom keeps telling me it is normal but I am worried.

View 5 RepliesHypothyroidism With Polycystic Ovaries
When I was sixteen, I started to display all of the symptoms of Glandular Fever. Two years went by until the doctors finally diagnosed me with Hypothyroidism. At this point, my thyroid levels were that bad, that I looked bloated, had ballooned to a size 18 and became very ill. As you can imagine, being 5'2 the weight started to affect my back/ joints etc. which just added insult to injury.
The doctors started me on 150 micrograms of Levothyroxine, which was then increased to 200. I went down to a size 10/12 and felt happy, healthy and fit. I had so much energy and found myself wanting to work out once, sometimes twice a day. The positivity came from nowhere, my skin felt great, my hair felt strong and the weight seemed to melt away.
I'm now 22 and I am feeling depressed, tired all of the time, I have no energy to work out and I find myself forgetting things all of the time. I find myself asking how I've ended up back where I started. I'm still on 200 micrograms of thyroxine - but I've now been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries.
I just feel like I'm getting nowhere, I'm back to a size 18, I don't feel confident, I just feel like this condition is destroying my life and there's nothing I can do about it. I try to push myself to exercise, but I just don't have the energy. I work full time and by the time I get home I am far too tired to move. I go straight to sleep, sometimes without eating. So how am I putting on weight?

Menopause :: Spotting - Ovaries Removed Two Weeks
I am 51 and have this spotting which can go on and off for a few weeks, it happened in December and seem to right itself for a couple of months and then went six weeks before next period. I had ovaries removed two weeks ago due to family history. I have had a few vaginal ultrasounds running up to this and smear and uterus biopsy quite recently which were fine. The spotting is still here after operation, i know that some bleeding is expected after op. I still have uterus and believe the lack of hormones now may have unsettled it abit. Went to doctor, she wasn't that helpful but said would contact gynaecologist. I felt really well after op but this spotting is getting me down, i keep thinking has my smear given a false negative as i believe that can happen. I have just got over a stomach issue with peri and was hoping to get through it without any more worries.
