Cold / Flu :: Numbness In Arms, Legs And Face

Last month i had a very bad bout with the flu. My whole body was paining. It started with my upper legs. Almost like someone gave me charlie horse in my muscles. Then my feet and bottom of my feet started paining. I could not even walk. I wore memory foam slippers on my feet the few times out of bed. My hands had the same painful sensitive sensations as my feet. a few days later my lungs started to hurt and I had something pneumonia. When i started recovering, the pain and numb sensations stayed on the bottom of my feet, my hands legs and arms. Not to mention the weakness that still exist in my limbs. Also, which is confusing and worrying me most now is the numbness on my face and in my mouth, it feels like dental freezing leaving my mouth. It's been at least a month since i recovered from the flu. I have seen my Dr. and have been scheduled for a CT scan. Has anyone had these symptoms before?

Anxiety :: Numbness And Tingling In Face And Legs

I'm a 30 year old female who lately has been going through a tough time. I have always been a worrier, especially when it comes to health. Since I was 9 years old I've worried about different diseases (especially after googling) which made me convinced my life would end several times in my life. Right now I'm going thru a bad phase which I don't know what to do. It all started last year when I started getting lots of numbness and tingling in face and legs. Then in November I started getting left sided chest pain which is 24/7 stabbing pains. I've been to emergency twice since Feb. And they did EKG, xray and blood tests which supposedly came out fine. Then, in February I started getting heart palpitations, skipping beats. At this point I was convinced I have heart disease. 3 weeks ago the mild dizziness started where I felt I was gonna faint. During the time it started I remember going out to eat with my hubby and kids and I literally felt like I was not there, as if I was in another planet, everything felt unreal. I've been really tired too. I've been seeing a cardiologist who did an EKG, heart Echo. And tomorrow I'm having a stress test and a holter monitor for 24 hours. He thinks its anxiety. But I am not convinced. I'm just extremely scared of dying because I have 3 children who are all under 7 years old. By the way, I did want to mention that from October thru March I was going thru a big worry with the law. Don't want to get into details but I was very worried for 5 months that I was going to go to jail. Everything turned out fine however, I don't know if that worry triggered physical anxiety symptoms.

Neurology :: Tingling And Numbness In My Face?

I'm a 41 yr old who has been suffering with tingling and numbness in my face, hands and feet and my tongue deviates slightly to the right. I have also had periods of dizziness. I have been hospitalized twice in the last month. Every test has come back negative... One neurologist suggested I could be having Tia while another said its not. I have a strong feeling that my menstrual cycle may play a part in this. I was looking at post from 2011 and their were other women who have similar symptoms!

Eye Care :: Pressure In My Right Eye, Numbness On Right Side Of My Face?

about 4 years ago, my right eye started appearing larger than the left. I had just had Botox around the eye, and wondered if it was a result of that... But then as the years wore on the bulging eye didn't settle down, it seemed to be irritated when I drank coffee, or had stress and haven't done Botox since, but the problem persists.

Recently the problem is getting worse. Aside from the eye being open wider, the pupil in the right eye is also dilated and it feels like there is pressure inside the eye. Also the right side of my face is becoming numb. This is consistent even when I am on no medication, or drinking coffee.

I have been to UCLA eye center and they did a full neuro ophthalmology test and found nothing wrong. I have been to my Lasix Dr. (Dr. Malony) and he also found nothing. I even had an MRI for tumors - and they found nothing. I also went to a Glaucoma specialist and their feedback was -- it's probably stress related.

I am really at a loss, I know something is wrong here. I have been under serious stress in the last 4 years, but this eye problem, seems to getting worse and I am worried that it could become a larger issue. I want the right side of my face to feel normal again, not tingly and numb, with a bulging eye. I've tried eye drops, because my eye was dry after Lasik, and I have tried eye drops for allergies, but neither have fixed the issue.

Stress / Anxiety :: Numbness/Tingling In Vein In My Head

I have always had pretty bad anxiety. Recently, I had an episode of Atrial Fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) which I think was primarily due to my anxiety.

Anyways, since then (about 4 weeks ago), I have had severe health anxiety, and starting about a week ago, I've had this feeling of impending doom, like I'm about to have a stroke or a heart attack or something.

What happened about a week ago was, ever since my ER visit for my AFib episode, I've been obsessively checking my pulse in the vein on the right side of my head. About a week ago, I started feeling numb/tingling exactly along the length of that vein. While I am assuming it is just due to irritation from me constantly touching it, I would like some reassurance. It has been causing me major anxiety to a point where it's almost disabling.

At Age 42, Hair Loss On Arms And Legs

At age 42, I'm starting to notice some loss of hair on my arms and legs. I'm a male, and of Mediterranean ancestry, so I've been quite hairy in those areas since I was a teen. My hair remains very full and thick on my head, so it seems odd I should be losing it in other places. Is this normal? I don't like the way it looks - like the skin of an old man, all bare and plain.

Legs, Arms And Thighs - Intermittent Pain Cause ?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced any kind of pain like this:

For the past couple years or so I have had this intermittent type of pain (it usually happens about a couple times a week, for instance it happened in the beginning of the week for at least two consecutive days and not at all today; each episode usually consists of a series of acute attacks, maybe several of them in a row, and then they would just stop). This would happen in several areas: mainly now my thighs and legs (almost always the back of them, though a couple times it has been along the front); sometimes it is in the arms too; for a little while it was in the back (though it hasn't happened there for a while now).

I'm not sure how to describe the pain (I wish there was some sort of questionnaire I could find that might help me in that area); it's definitely not severe, but then I'm known to have a high tolerance for pain. I would say it is more sharp than dull and it seems to be a kind of stabbing pain though maybe not exactly shooting, though I guess it could be thought of that way (I don't know that it's radiating either--I can't see how it can be radiating anywhere; it seems, if I am remembering correctly, it is moving along the length of some specific area; that doesn't seem like it would fit the description of radiating). It is definitely not tingling or numbness (except when it happens in the arms--then there is a definite weakness that results after it in which I have less of an ability to grasp anything with much strength).

I'm just curious as to what can be causing this, or maybe it's just normal when you age, though I wouldn't consider myself to be too old at just 33.

Well, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate hearing them. I would say for sure the pain in the arms sounds like some sort of nerve pain but I'm not sure about the other areas. I went to the doctor once about it, but he wasn't able to help much, just called it "fibromyalgia" which is basically what they say when they don't know what it is. For a while I was sure it was nerve pain but then I keep hearing how nerve pain is more of a tingling, numbness or loss of sensation more than actual pain; and then the doctor calls it fibromyalgia which from what I gather is thought to be muscle pain. I do not participate in any rigorous exercises, just walks for a mile or more a few times a week so it shouldn't be due to any sort of injury.
