Disoriented And Dizzy - Pressure In Head
What causes my headaches? Sometimes I feel disoriented and get dizzy! On top of that, I get headaches very frequently. I have to carry pain reliever with me everywhere I go. If I am around too much smoke I get a headache, too much noise, lights too bright. The list can go on forever! The most important thing to me is the pressure in the back of my head. I cannot lay down on the back of my head or there will be an instant headache. If I take my hand and just touch the back of my head, I feel pressure, which will cause me to get a headache! I worry of a brain tumor or something! I might just be really paranoid, but it's like there is constant pressure on my brain and when I push back there then it just intensifies! I a m at a loss for understanding at what may be causing this!

I was wondering if anyone else diagnosed with ME is constantly thirsty? I've had all the blood tests (and have been diagnosed with ME), so diabetes is omitted. View 1 RepliesIdiopathic Intracranial Hypertension :: Acute High Blood Pressure, Blocked Ears, Head Pressure
I am a fit, healthy 28 year old guy who has spontaneously developed severe high blood pressure, temporal pressure headaches, dizzy spells and blocked ears. The symptoms vary, with acute periods lasting a couple hours and occurring on a weekly basis. Generally an acute period is characterized by severe headaches, needing to lie down, blocked ears and extreme lethargy.
I have had CT’s and MRI’s of the brain and cervical spine, PET scans, ECHO’s, a multitude of blood tests and various other tests with no abnormalities.
I gym 4 times a week, eat healthy and work as a hairdresser, so my lifestyle is pretty healthy overall.
This condition is starting to limit my lifestyle and with two years of no answers I am putting it out there for someone to recognize or provide advice about what could potentially be going on!
Nervous System :: Head Pressure/dizziness/head Fog
I've been having those 3 symptoms for about 2 months now. I'm a 22yo male, 6 feet tall, 160 lbs.
The head pressure was the first to show up. It feels like if someone is pressing their palm against the top of my head, its very light and 80% its not bad or painful, its just -there-, but sometimes the pressure rises up and it can be quite overwhelming, making me having to stop whatever I'm doing.
Painkillers used to work, now they don't anymore, although I think it's because I started to use them way too much.
Since about 2 weeks ago, I started to have dizziness and head fog. It's like if I'm "typsy" all the time.
This all started a few months after I had to quit my job since I'm preparing myself to live in another country, I'm short on cash and I have arguments about various things related to that almost daily, making me think that this might be an anxiety issue.
3 days ago I had to go to the hospital because my BP spiked up (180/104), and since then the pressure/head fog became 10x worse. I keep catching myself hyperventilating throughout the day, having cold sweats and hot flashes.
Thoughts keep racing in my head that I have a brain tumor and how that would wreck my life even if its a benign one.
Something that makes me feel better is that I'm not having any seizures, nose bleeds or actual real bad headache, its just a weird pressure, which calms me down a bit at the possibility that its a tumor.
Also, sleeping is the only thing that makes the pressure/dizziness go away, although it gets bad again throughout the day. Today I've tried to oversleep a bit to see if it was a sleep deprivation issue and it made the pressure better but the dizziness way worse.
I've already scheduled a cardiologist/neurologist, but I can only go friday so I still have some days to worry myself to death over this.
Anxiety :: Feeling Head Pressure And Slight Ear Pressure
Iv'e been feeling head pressure and slight ear pressure for over 3 weeks now and it has been a nightmare for me. I went to the ER a couple of times and they diagnosed me with tension headaches. I do have a history of anxiety but I must say that I've never experienced such discomfort. Tylenol, Naproxen, nothing helps it go away thus far... I had CT of my brain done which came back normal as well, blood work too and that came back normal as well. I'm currently taking antibiotics because I was told that I have fluid in my ears but the antibiotics are not helping at all. I guess I'm not convinced that anxiety is causing these symptoms. Normally, during my anxiety attacks I experience heart palpitations, hot flashes and shortness of breath and it lasts only like 15 minutes or so, but this head pressure is ongoing all day nonstop. It makes me feel like I'm going to pass out but I know I'm not. Each day I wake up hoping and praying that it's gone for good but that day has not gotten here yet.

View 2 RepliesChest Pressure Followed By Head Pressure
I'm 25 male. About 2 weeks ago i started noticing strange feeling in my body, discomforts and occasional sharp pains. It has got progressively worse but now there seems to be a pattern. It starts with i tight pain in my chest on the left side, over time it moves to my back under my left shoulder, then to between my shoulder blades. Finally i get a pressure in my head followed by tingling lips and tongue with a horrible sensation all down the front of my body that last for a long time.
I've been to A&E a couple times thinking im having a heart attack but they have never found anything wrong with me. I've had a blood test, multiple ECG's, blood pressure tests, chest x-ray, everything always comes back normal.
My GP diagnosed Anxiety and prescribed Propranolol, but i know its definitely not anxiety. I'm gonna try and push for an MRI scan if i can but i really worried.
Besides that i get random short pains in my hands and legs, i'm thirsty all the time, lost my appetite.
Does anyone have a clue what this could possibly be?

View 4 RepliesTingling & Numbness Is A Symptom Of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
I was told I had post viral fatigue in 1997 - in 2004 I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I had to give up on my career but made a new one, working part-time hours. I've been lucky enough to scrape by.
This January however, I started to get symptoms new to me. Walking and veering to the one side, tingling in my hands and feet and numbness too. Also a terrible stiffness that affects my walking and my ability to pick things up. The worst new thing is terrible problems swallowing.
I had to give up work completely - I just couldn't do it and I am back to sleeping 14 hours a day.
My GP sent me to a neurologist. After a 13 week wait in pain and discomfort I finally saw neuro 2 days ago.
Her attitude really pissed off. Chronic Fatigue was talked about the whole time. I couldnt feel pin pricks on my face, feet or hand. I had a positive reaction to the Babinski sign (I know about it as I have a friend who is a GP). She told me, it's not MS, it's CFS.
BUT, I am being sent for an MRI, to see a speech therapist for the swallowing problems, a physiotherapist for the stiff legs, a psychologist for my memory problems and I am being put on pregabalin painkillers. (The NHS is great once you are in the system).
What I would like to ask, after years of CFS, I didn't think numbness and tingling were part of CFS symptoms.
How many of you have these types of symptoms?

View 4 RepliesEye Care :: Pressure In My Right Eye, Numbness On Right Side Of My Face?
about 4 years ago, my right eye started appearing larger than the left. I had just had Botox around the eye, and wondered if it was a result of that... But then as the years wore on the bulging eye didn't settle down, it seemed to be irritated when I drank coffee, or had stress and haven't done Botox since, but the problem persists.
Recently the problem is getting worse. Aside from the eye being open wider, the pupil in the right eye is also dilated and it feels like there is pressure inside the eye. Also the right side of my face is becoming numb. This is consistent even when I am on no medication, or drinking coffee.
I have been to UCLA eye center and they did a full neuro ophthalmology test and found nothing wrong. I have been to my Lasix Dr. (Dr. Malony) and he also found nothing. I even had an MRI for tumors - and they found nothing. I also went to a Glaucoma specialist and their feedback was -- it's probably stress related.
I am really at a loss, I know something is wrong here. I have been under serious stress in the last 4 years, but this eye problem, seems to getting worse and I am worried that it could become a larger issue. I want the right side of my face to feel normal again, not tingly and numb, with a bulging eye. I've tried eye drops, because my eye was dry after Lasik, and I have tried eye drops for allergies, but neither have fixed the issue.
Anxiety :: Zoloft Stopped Working And Numbness In Head
I am a 20 year old male and i was prescribed 50mg of zoloft. So far i have been taking it for 5 months and it basically got rid of my generalized anxiety disorder. Before i took the medication i have been having weird symptoms from my anxiety such as my whole body being tense from head to toe, my eyes not focusing properly and everything looking unreal or fake around me like i was high. Also it felt like there was a pressure on top of my head like if someone put a blanket on my head. It also felt like the skin on my head was moving and i couldn't just sit still, i had to touch my head all the time or put my sweater hood up.
It all started after i smoked weed about 4 years ago, i had a bad panic attack and ever since then i haven't felt normal. Not even my doctor has answers for me but he did give me zoloft. The zoloft has basically made me feel normal again like i was before i smoked the weed. But i made a huge mistake, Just about 4 days ago i drank alot of alcohol on the weekend and also on the weekend before that. The first couple of times i drank on zoloft nothing happened. But after this weekend i noticed the zoloft has completely stopped working and all my weird anxiety symptoms are coming back, Will the zoloft kick back in soon? did i make it permanently stop working? I am never drinking again for a very very long time. I'm just stressed out that the zoloft will never work again :(. Also the symptoms from my anxiety are so strange, I didn't know anxiety could do all these weird things to the mind and body.
