Anxiety / Depression :: Brain Fog, Tired And In Zombie-mode

After months of suffering...I am JUST NOW finding out that all my agony MIGHT be chalked up to the debilitating menace that is anxiety and his partner in crime DEPRESSION. So, I have a lot of questions. Please share what you can relate to or have understanding about. I deeply thank you!

Before all my REALLY bad symptoms came about...I was feeling fatigued 24/7 and just overall a little glum. Things weren't terrible, but I just didn't have the UMPH! that ya want. I felt worn out constantly all day long. All the while struggling with LOTS of stress...after persistent stress and no answers from doctors even after multiple tests...I began to have even more debilitating symptoms. I was certain I had some sort of rare disease.Because this has manifested itself So physically. I never thought the source could be emotional and psychological.

1. I am so tired, brain FOGGED, and SUPER spaced out 24/7 with a miserable memory...literally my drive has vanished along with a chunk of my confidence. Can you relate?

2. I have never had a panic attack. THANK GOODNESS. But all this could still be anxiety? I rarely FEEL anxious...this is why I've never suspected anxiety.

3. I often forget what day it is..and other things of that nature. I feel as though the last few months have been a blur...There is no solid boundary between days or months or seasons...they all just mush together into one glob of nonsensical foggy memories. And I forget things that happen throughout my day WAY more than I ever have before. I make silly mistakes. Can you relate?

4. I don't have bouts...it's ever-present. ALL the time. No relief. sure, when I'm with a friend and we are in a conversation...I'm not entirely focused on the fact that I am in zombie-mode...but it's just always there anyway. can you relate?

Anti Anxiety Drugs :: Valium Vs. Xanax For Sleep

I’ve been suffering from insomnia ever since I stopped taking Effexor and all natural ways to help me to get asleep didn’t really help much. I tried taking melatonin supplement, running and exercising and even herbal tea as a sleep remedy, but none of them really helped since I’m still managing to sleep only few hours before dawn.

Now i’m thinking to see my doctor to prescribe me some sleep aid and I was wondering what are your experiences with Valium and Xanax - which one works better as a sleep aid?

Anxiety :: Xanax Makes Me Sleepy

I'm been suffering from anxiety and depression for over a week now and I'm now taking paxil & buspar prescribed by my doctor. The medication has not kicked in yet and I was feeling horrible still, plus some side effects that was expected. So, I went back to the doctor and she gave me xanax 0.5 mg; to help with the waves of anxiety and depression and side effects.  But the problem is I'm not working now and its dead cold winter out, so I stay in. And I will take a xanax when the anxiety and depression comes on. But when I wake up after the short nap, I am smacked with fear dread and depression. I can't seem to avoid the naps in the day. If I don't take the xanax then its constant anxiety and depression.

Cannabis :: Zombie Feeling Days After Having Weed?

4 days ago my friends told me to try weed and so I did but only 2 small hits, after that I felt what every person trying weed for the first time felt. The next day we tried another one, but my friends made me do 3 hits, once again small hits and felt the same thing as the day before. The next day I woke up and still felt 'high' felt like a zombie walking doin tv. Stuff I didn't remember doing, 4 days have passed since the first time I tried it and I still feel 'high' And i feel almost in an unreal state of mind. like i'm not all there. I try to deal with it, but i really want to feel normal again. It wasn't laced because no one else felt weird but me. i have no idea what's going on. Whenever I walk around or do stuff, I feel like a zombie and don't remember doing the stuff sometimes. I guess what I'm trying to ask is how long will this effect last? And if I need to go get medical attention what do I say because I'm only 18 will the doctor call police or something?

Sertraline :: Zombie Effect - Anxious And No Appetite

I went to see my GP only five days ago for clinical depression and I was taken off mirtazapine 30mg that I had been on for roughly six months and put onto sertraline 50mg. I was advised by my GP to reduce the mirtazapine down to 15mg immediately. My question is this.... Is it just me or has Sertraline made anyone else feel worse? As of day one I've felt like what I can only describe as a 'zombie'.

It feels like I'm constantly wading through thick mud, I now feel constantly anxious, I have no appetite whatsoever, I wake up at 3-4am and can't get back to sleep because all these thoughts keep whizzing around in my head, when it is time to get up I feel utterly shattered. I don't want to go out and everything I used to find enjoyable I cannot now face. I have a 7 y/o son whom I love and adore but feel like I can't even look after myself at the moment let alone him, the guilt of this is now exacerbating my feelings.

The thought of facing another day feeling like this is terrifying me, let alone moving forward with life. I've restarted with my private councillor and am avoiding alcohol etc as my GP advised, but just feel terrible.

I'm not expecting miracles overnight or anything but I think I'm just searching for some reassurance I guess?

Gave Up Cannabis After 10 Years - Emotionless Zombie (even After 6 Months)

I was 17 when I started smoking cannabis daily and smoked quite a lot a day, I'm now 27 I never missed a day in that 10 years that I didn't smoke... I gave up smoking it 6 months ago and I still can't remember what happens the day before and am always having fights with my girlfriend cause I'm always not bothered about anything and seem to have a massive lack of emotion. I don't want to be like this and was the main reason I gave up, I was never like this before I smoked and thought that it was just the fact I was smoking that made me like it, now I've quit for 6 months and don't feel any different, I still feel light headed at times have blurred vision and can't concentrate on anything longer than 5 mins and forget important things all the time, I really feel like I have screwed my brain up and I'm scared I will never get back to normal, i so wish I never smoked in the first place... I was like everyone else and thought the entire time that cannabis was harmless and that I'm just lazy and emotionless because I was still smoking and that if I stopped it would all go back to normal, well It hasn't so far!!! About 3 months ago I found out my sister had breast cancer my parents and everyone were shocked and scared for her, I didn't feel anything and knew this isn't right and it scared me, I love my sister but I just can't seem to feel any emotions... So I guess what I'm asking is has anyone ever gone through this and eventually it does all go back to normal or have I screwed my life up and now i'm an emotionless zombie?

Non Epileptic Seizures :: Valium, Wellbutrin , And Lamictal

I was diagnosed with NEAD which also goes by the name of pseudoseizures.  It has been 9 months now and even with a psychologist and a psychiatrist, I still have the attacks.  They have lessened with the medication I am in.  Valium, wellbutrin , and lamictal. I have decided to learn to live with this. I am grateful that I am not sick, I just have occasional seizures.  I make sure someone is always with me if I am out somewhere who knows what to do.  Knows to guard my head, not to call 911, and keep calm,  if it ends great, if not keep living.

Replacing Suboxone With Valium, Baclofen And Phenibut

I am on 600 mg Lyrica (yes max dose), 50 mg Amitriptyline, 200 mg tegretol, 5 mg valium, 10 mg baclofen, 1 g Chlorzoxazone, and phenibut when I want to take it. My pain is still not being helped much, even with all these meds. I was an addict and have been sober 8 years, but have been mixing my phenibut and valium to feel good 2-3 times a week. The dr is seeing this as addictive behavior and doesn't want me to relapse. So, he wants me to stop the valium, baclofen, and phenibut and replace it with Suboxone.

I am opiate naive and have never really gotten high on opiates before - I have no tolerance to them. He prescribed me 2 mg, 3 times per day. Now, I know this is wayyyy to high of a dose for an opiate naive person. What is a good starting dose for pain?

Benzodiazepines :: Coming Off 50mg Valium - Cold Turkey?

I'm currently a student and got valium off the internet to help me get to sleep. Because in halls as it's ridiculously loud, I ended up taking 50mg a night about 5 days a week..

Been doing this for the past 2 months and I've been reading stuff online about coming off it and it's frightened so much!

Should I just go cold turkey, how bad will it be and how long will it last? I really have the urge to go the doctors ASAP as I'm worried for my health but will this also go down on my health record and will it jeopardise being employed in the future if they ask to view my medical records? I can't believe I've gotten myself in this situation I feel so stupid and ashamed.

Pain In My Hip Makes Me Cry

I'm a 16 year old girl, 5ft tall and slightly overweight. I get sudden pain in my right hip, my wrists swell and become painful and I also get ankle pain. All of this happens at the same time. I sometimes get finger and back pain too. I have no allergies and the pain in my hip becomes so bad that it actually makes me cry in agony. Does anyone have any idea why this sudden pain happens?

I am 13 years old and have been mastrubating since about 9 (a year after my dad died). At first it was just in the bathtub with water, then i found out how to use my fingers. I have been mastrubating almost daily every year since. My period has not come yet, but most of my friends' have. I am starting to wonder if it has been affecting my period in any way.

Postherpetic Neuralgia :: What Makes It Better And Worse?

From reading many other threads, it seems to me that one frustrating thing about this condition is that there's no one-size-fits-all description or solution. Is there anything outside of heavy prescriptions that soothes your pain, and are there any triggers that make it worse?

Here are things that usually provide some relief:

1.Epsom salts compresses - help calm down the skin sensations

2. Rose geranium oil - helps with the skin pain and stabbing, and the scent is calming to me

3. Heating pad - helps when the pain is deeper, or maybe it just relaxes my tense muscles

4. Ibuprofen - helps with the aches

5. Acetaminophen - I don't think this works as well as ibuprofen, but I haven't given up on it.

6. Sleeping. I usually wake up at a level 0 or 1, and it builds up as I go about my day.

7. Sitting quietly. No friction when I'm not moving.

8. Exercise. Maybe it's true what they say about endorphins.

9. Sometimes stretching or scratching provides relief.

Things that make it worse

1. Coffee

2. Lack of sleep

3. Possibly my hormone cycle; I'm not certain about this one

4. Sometimes, it's worse if I stretch, scratch, exercise, or sit still.  Yup, these are also on my list of things that sometimes help.   [eek]

5. Random triggers I may never be able to identify.

Do any of these things sound familiar to anyone else?   Or is there a good possibility this isn't PHN but something else?  Like, losing my mind?

Having Sex For First Time Makes Your Periods Late?

I lost my virginity saturday night,(Using a condom.)and should have had my period that next Monday-Tuesday, but I never did. I am slightly worried that I might be pregnant. Seeing as I am almost a week late.

Am I overreacting? Or should I give it a little longer?

We have had sex 2-3 time more since Saturday also.(Using a condom every time.) I was wondering if it is possible that since it was my first time that it would make my period late. Like maybe a stretch of the vagina or something. I also heard that It could be because of stress or being scared of being pregnant. That that would also make it slightly late.

So my questions was...

Can my period be late because it was my first time?
