Postmenopausal Bleeding And Cortisone Injection And

I am having the same issues after a cortisone injection in my shoulder.

My gyno history before menopause, which finally occurred at 57, was a mess due to endometrial hyperplasia and recurrent ovarian cysts (which were benign). I was on progesterone for years and/or birth control pills to avoid a hysterectomy.  I've been doing great so far except for a recent pap which came back abnormal.

Now after getting a cortisone injection last month, and almost 2 years into menopause, I recently started to have bleeding and pain in my left flank and ovary. It has lasted now for 5 days and seems to be getting worse. Im wondering if the cortisone has triggered more problems?

Going to see my gyno specialist ASAP to hopefully determine what is going on.

I am furious to read how many of us were never informed about ANY side effects of the shot. How can this happen? Why didn't my ortho doc (who was a woman of my age!!) not warn me?? According to these posts, many doctors don't even see a relationship, despite patients complaints!!
Many thanks to those who actually posted a follow up on the outcome of their tests. Some were very thankful because their issues were serious and actually had polyps or cancer.

I'm considering creating a blog for this topic in order to help others who are unaware and who should follow up on bleeding issues even though it could be just the cortisone which triggered bleeding.

Corticosteroids :: Excessive Urination With Cortisone Injection

I had a shoulder joint cortisone injection 5 days ago and now I have excessive urination. Called the Doctor and they said this was not a side effect, but when I looked it up it states that it is a uncommon side effect. I have been peeing every 45 minutes for 4 days even though the night. I am sure I did this the last time I had this injection. Does anybody have the same reaction or the same problem?I am not diabetic.

Frozen Shoulder :: Cortisone Injection And Acupuncture Helped Little

have had frozen right shoulder since dec. this really is a debilitating condition and it is good to find somewhere to vent frustrations and get advice. had cortisone inj in feb, this has helped a little bit, but still in pain. i started acupuncture 6 weeks ago and am finding that it keeps the pain at a manageable level. am aware now that this is not going to be a short road to recovery, but would love to put on my bra the normal way, get undressed myself, brush and style hair at back of head and take off a jacket without first going through the rigmarole of shaking the left arm til jacket fall off. sorry lowercase but can't hold down shift.

Tarsal Tunnel - Sharp Pinching Pain After Cortisone Injection

I had a shot of cortisone for tarsal tunnel today. My pain is normally not constant. The pain occurs intermittent behind the ankle bone there is a sharp pinching. Since yesterday it was horrible and pinching like crazy. I could barely walk normal today so i went to podiatrist. For the past few months I had been seeking treatment ( ART, graston, chiro and ultrasound). I've also been doing strength exercises.

When you experienced the TT was it always constant and did cortisone ever help. If it helped how long before you noticed a difference.

Acne :: Just Had Cortisone Injections For Cystic Pimples

I went to a dermatologist today and i was told my face had a good deal of acne. I have my acne or my forehead and a lot around my jawline area that are cystlike. I have a few of them and those are cystic pimples. The dermatologist recommended me to do acne surgery ... extraction she mentioned and i kinda did not want to do this b/c i had a bad experience with a an esthetician many years ago plucking my face. The difference was that was in a salon and not a dermatologist. I remembered when i did it, i had holes and my acne was really bad right after it so I said I didn't want to do it.

However i asked if i could get cortisone shots done in my jawline where i have cystic pimples that doesn't seem to go away. Dermatologist did the cortisone injections and it was not painful at all. There were 3 of them done when i checked by bill. Anyways i came back home and then i saw i still had the cystic pimples there... I made the mistake of actually thinking these shots destroyed the cystic pimple on the spot... found out recently it takes a few days or close to 1 week for it to flatten.

Well I got prescribed epiduo for my acne and also solodyn as an antibiotic. I'm told to follow the same regimen i have but use epiduo at night and take solodyn once a day.

My question is should i even start the epiduo cream now after i got the cortisone injections? Should i wait a few days first till it flattens a bit and then use it? I'm worried using it might make it worst. I called the office and one of the reps there said it didn't matter you could start now but im thinking i shouldn't use this product on the area of my face yet right after the injections? Should i put anything on these spots where i got the injections? Because im thinking all i should do is wash my face like normal and put aloe vera gel on it or nothing at all and don't put any acne cream on it till few days later?

How long did it take for the cystic pimple to get smaller after the injection? Does it flatten fully or does it not? How soon can you do it again on the same spot if it didn't work? I assume if it doesn't flatten in 1 week, then it didn't work? I read online that ppl mention 2-3 days it should flatten and the cystic pimple should be gone...

Dent In Arm - Fat/muscle Erosion?

I'm not entirely sure if this is in the right place, but for a good while now, there's been a bit of a 'dent' in my left arm. I can't take a picture because you can only really notice it when you feel it, but there's a definite dent in muscle or fat or something.

Oddly enough, it's the exact place where I used to rest my arm all the time against my desk, but I wouldn't have assumed it's possible for fat/muscle to erode away.

Inwards Dent At My G-spot? Hypochondriac

So I was about to finger myself and when I felt my g spot it wasn't slightly hard like always. I know it might be because the g spot is in front of the bladder, (I just went to the bathroom before starting to masutbate) but I'm a hypochondriac and I worry about everything. It's a bit squishier and it just feels like it dented inwards a bit. It might go back to normal in a while because of the bladder thing.

Skull Injury / Dent By Cesarean (C-section) - Forceps Delivery

My sister has a depressed skull fracture or a dent as we say from her birth in UAE. She was born from a cesarean section with an unfortunate use of forceps. That left her a dent or depressed skull fracture at the skull vertex. It is visible on physical examination. But when we went to doctor, we had complained about poor balance , coordination and failed to draw light on this fact. The doctor could not study this by CT and MRI. That failed to study this dent. This may be owing to lack of detailing ie by reconstruction of CT scanning.

Throughout her life ,she has been suffering from Developmental coordination disorder /minimal brain damage, owing to this. She has recently an official diagnosis from UK.

Skin :: Dent In Thigh After Hitting Sharp Edge Of Table

Well back in January i accidentally hit the sharp edge of table with my thigh. It did not bleed at all, it did not hurt much either ( pain went away a few minutes after the hit thankfully) . It was a bit swollen and more red, no bleeding and it started to form bruise afterwards. Well now it is May, so 4 months after - bruise is going away but i can see that area where i hit the edge is not flat anymore. It actually has some indentation, dent in it ( not big, not much deep, rather superficial but very visible when i stand and on certain light). It also looks like it is still darkened, 4 months after, like bruise is still not completely gone. I think darkening somes from bruise still forming and not from shade of dent. Not sure

Polymyalgia Rheumatica :: Forehead Dent And Terrible Ache In Both Calves  muscles

Seen my dr today.  Had to get my bloods done as well.  My gp didn't know anything about the dent in my forehead, she seen it and felt it.  She asked did I fall, my reply was no.  Steroids thin the skin, I know that.  Also mentioned about a terrible ache in both calves  muscles when I put trainers on and try to walk a couple of yards.  She asked was the ache in both calves and I said yes, her reply was then it's not achilles.  She is going to chase the rheumatologist up as I haven't seen one yet.  It was endocrinology who made the referral to a Rheumatologist so gp is going to chase it up.  I feel I am going it alone, other than this website, I would be totally lost.  My gp is good she was off when I was going for pain relief and was still undiagnosed and then diagnosed by a locum dr. in the practice.

Frozen Shoulder :: Three Cortisone Shots Have Done Nothing For Me

I have seen several people who have posted that they have had this in both shoulders. I have had it in both and now on the second time for my right shoulder. This time is much more painful than the first two. I have done my best to wait it out and I just cant take it any long and am considering surgery this time. The three cortisone shots have done nothing for me.

My doctors have said this is an unusual case. They have never mentioned hormone levels. They have been checked twice this year and come back fine. Do I need to ask for a specific test or should I try hormones first to see if they work before I try surgery?

I am a person that just tends to do what the doctor recommends but I don't want surgery if I have another possible option.
