Pregnancy :: Another Cesarean (C-Section) Within 10 Months

This is my second pregnancy and my first was a terrible experience. 24 hours of back labor with no pain medication and then ended up being an emergency cesarean. My doctor told me I should absolutely not get pregnant for two years and now I am pregnant again only ten months later and I'm a little worried.

Hard Lumps Under The Skin After Cesarean (C-section)

I just had a baby by cesarean. A few days after leaving the hospital i found a 2-3cm hard lump under the skin to me it feels like a bone. the lump is located right in between the hip/leg and vagina on the right side. it is not in the vagina or visible. i went to my doctor and the told me it is not a cyst and to just watch it. a few days later i feel more lumps right next under the skin to it but smaller. i does hurt when touched and sometimes when sitting.

Bloody Mucous Discharge 3 Weeks After Cesarean (C-section) W/pain

I'm a little worried because it seemed as though my bleeding had nearly stopped, and when I did bleed, it was a brown tint and then, I did the unthinkable. I had sex with my husband before I was supposed to. Almost immediately afterwards, I started bleeding bright red again and a few days later, was bleeding with almost a mucus type discharge. I've also noticed that the pain in my lower abdomen/incision area seems more tender than it was just a few days ago. Could this be signs of an infection or something else of concern? I also just took my temp right now, and had a low grade fever of 99.3.

8 Months After Head Injury And Still Have Tinnitus

Hello all, I was in a roll over car accident about 8 months ago and had a head injury(concussion) on the right side. Ever since then, I've had a pretty constant hissing sound in my right ear. It's not too bad during the day but is definitely worse at night. If I lay on my right side with the ear on the pillow, its not to noticable but soon as I switch sides or lay on my back I can hear it. Lately, I feel like I can hear it more during the day as well and have had some recent headaches on the right side. I have had some hearing loss before the car accident and some occasional ringing before but never a constant hissing sound like this. I have not told the doctors or anybody because I know there is no cure for it and I'd rather not have to go through a bunch of useless expensive tests to figure out the cause etc. I've been however debating lately if I should tell someone or not, or if I should just continue to try and cope with it. At the moment, I feel like telling any of the doctors would probably be useless and hoping it will just go away in time and not be a permanent thing. I'm also somewhat worried that if I do tell someone, the docs will think that this tinnitus is not from the head injury but from the previous hearing problems I've had. I could use some advice though and would appreciate it.

Multiple Sclerosis :: Loss Of Field Vision And Skull Pain

I haven't been diagnosed with MS, but I posted here awhile back about an abnormal result of an MRI after seeing a neuro for loss of field vision. When the results came back the MRI stated that I had "Small focal white matter lesions scattered throughout the supratentorial region". From what I understand, unless I am 70+ years old (i'm 39) a migraine suffer (have never had one) or other brain injury, I should not have these. When I followed up with the neuro he brushed it off as "there is nothing wrong with you" and sent me on my way. I had planned to get a second opinion anyway but now I think I need to do it faster. Monday morning I woke up with the worst pain in the right side of my next. Paracetamol did NOTHING. I thought I slept wrong but the pain didn't subside and actually moved later in the day into the base of my skull, behind my eyes and on the right side of my head. When I tilt my head back it shoots a pain into my shoulder blade and up into my right eye. This has been going on since Monday. I had hoped it would subside to no avail, only to now feel pain in my extreme lower back when I sit, bend or sneeze! I get minimal relief from Naproxen and tonight before bed I have resorted to taking a muscle relaxer to get some relief. Can this be related to MS?

Shoulder Injury From Car Accident 4 Months Ago - Still Hurts

I was in a rollover car accident about 4 months ago and my shoulder hurt pretty bad right afterwards due to the seat belt. The docs took x rays but nothing on it. I had several weeks off from work and thought the pain was getting better. Ever since returning, the pain has come back and has not gone away. I finally went back to the doctor about a month ago and they prescribed me some ibuprofen and muscle relaxer and also referred me to physical therapy. Well, a month into physical therapy, the shoulder really still hurts. It's hard to lift my arm and do overhead activities. It's also hard to reach in the back and put on my coat for example. Any kind of pressure on it makes it sore and it feels pretty weak now. I was told from worker's comp to possibly ask a referral to see an orthopedic surgeon but I am not sure I want to go down that road. I am thinking of asking the doc to order an MRI.

Nervous System :: Intermittent Pains In Different Parts Of My Brain/skull For 3 Weeks Now

I've tried about 3 other boards and seems like 100's of site but I cannot find anyone with similar symptoms to what I have. On feb 14, I got a huge euphoric feeling in my head, followed by rapid heart rate, tingling in my fingers and toes, and a feeling that I was going to have a mental breakdown. I went to the ER and got blood pressure/blood sugar/EKG test and a physical test and they determined I was fine and gave me Ativan to take. The next day I started feeling pains in my head that would last for 2-5 seconds and then go away, come back in a different spot later. They hit me anywhere from in my brain, in my sinus (although no sinus pain since Monday), different parts of my skull and on the sides of my head. Most of the pains are on the skull (bone). I mentioned to my doc and he switched me to clonazepam and told me to come back in two weeks to see if I need an MRI.

That appt is next Wednesday and as it has been 3 weeks of the pain not getting better or worse I'm almost positive I'll still have it by then. On a side note, in the past my headaches were in my brain and would be a constant pain for a few hours, and would only come ones a month or so. These pains are not nearly as painful and do not last for more than 20 seconds, but they happen at all times of the day (although in he morning I can lay in bed for a half hour and have no pain, then they come shortly after i get up. I've looked at brain tumour symptoms and I don't really have any of them, the pain is light, my cognitive skills are the same, no nausea, dizziness, etc. The only thing I have is chronic anxiety because of the pains and the fact that they could be something serious. So basically, should I try to get an MRI before meeting my family doc next week? I live in Canada so everything is covered.

RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury - Any Information For Computer Users?

I work for a Software company since last 15 years. I suffer from Computer RSI which makes it very painful to use mouse/keyboard, hold a pen and such things. Nothing has been revealed in my MRI or nerve conduction studies which is making it very challenging to convince people at work, who are not very aware of RSI.

Can you point out to any resources at Internet to show that RSI can be a severe problem even when nothing shows up in your investigations?

Has Computer RSI been formally accepted by medical science as a diseases?

How Do You Cope Frozen Shoulder? Nerve Pain After Neck Injury

how do you cope?  One year ago I fell downstairs (vertigo) fractured my neck and had severe pain in upper left arm, felt like a very bad bruise and a swollen but not broken wrist.  Neck healed, pain in my upper arm remained and could move it but not do up bra etc without severe pain.  Had an injection in my shoulder - made it worse. 11 months on I fell down a shorter flight of stairs (return of vertigo!) on to same bad shoulder/arm.  Now frozen and pain from neck to finger tips all the time and even worse at night.  Can't take oral pain relief tablets has anyone tried pain relief patches?  The pain is so bad I can't do anything and I am getting seriously depressed and being driven to despair, its like being in constant childbirth labour!  constantly having to massage my arm including from elbow to wrist and palm of hand into fingers.  Given conflicting advice by every medical person seen so far.    Seems it is likely multiple problems but still no MRI, xray shows no broken bones in shoulder.  Read most of the discussions, not many triggered by injury unless I have missed those.  Any support groups locally in Cornwall where we could at least cry openly!

Pregnancy :: How To Hold Off Delivery?

Im due February 7th. I had a checkup at 36 weeks 3 days yesterday. Im now 2cm dialated. 1 week ago I was 1cm. My doctor said I likely will not go till my due date. My problem is my 10 month old son is having surgery next week in a town 3 hrs from mine. I want to be there but I also don't want to have my baby away from home. I'm still waiting on surgeon to call to make appointment but I'm really hoping for early next week so we can try to be back home before the baby comes. Ill be at a hospital, I know I can have her there but it'll only be me and my husband. Nobody will want to drive 3 hours to come visit. After my sons surgery we will have to stay for a couple days. I just want to know if there's anything I can do to slow the process so I can be sure she will wait a little longer to arrive. Im off work already and was planning on just taking it extremely easy. Like pretty much doing nothing but rest.
