Yukon :: 2004 Denali - Coolant Spewing Out

2004 Denali XL with 78,800 miles. I've had it since July '12, and when I changed the oil immediately after buying it (74,700 miles) it was low and filthy. All the fluids were checked/topped, and I had to rebuild the front drive diff and replace a cracked axle tube shortly thereafter.

Everything has been fine since, except for some coolant spewing out mysteriously every once in a while and slightly more than a qt of ATF just disappearing about a week or two ago.

It was shifting a little jerky so I checked the fluid and found it just barely on the stick. Quite a surprise since I check it every month or so, and I've never seen a drop on the ground.

Should I flush or do the standard filter and partial change? The fluid is pink and clean looking at this time.

Yukon :: 2004 Would Not Start / Coolant Leaking

Why a 2004 Yukon Denali would not start. It's leaking coolant. The battery was replaced less than 2 weeks ago and it doesn't jump start. I was told that the water pump is cracked and when you turn the key the lights and radio come on but that's about it.

Yukon :: 2004 - Relay Click Under The Dash / Indicator Lights Come On

About a month ago I was using my driver side seat heater when I noticed it wasn't warm anymore. I looked over and found the indicator light for the heater was off. Here is what happens:

When I push the buttons, I can hear a relay click under the dash, the indicator lights come on quickly, but then they go right back off. It does not matter if I choose upper or lower heaters, and it acts the same for both driver & passenger seats.

I connected up a Snap-On computer to it yesterday. We went under the driver door module and it shows the heated seats, but no error codes were present. It displayed the heated seat as inactive. When the button is pushed, it would show active for a split second, then go right back to inactive.

My mechanic friend thinks that it may be a shorted heater module. He isn't 100% sure on if that is the correct diagnosis, or where to locate the module. I believe it to be under the driver's seat.

Yukon :: 2004 XL AC - Temperature Of Air Warms Slightly At A Stop Light Or In Park

My 04 Yukon XL blows ice cold from both units while driving. However, at a stop light or in park the temperature of the air warms slightly. It will sometimes also blow hot. I checked the pressure using one of the units available at auto parts stores, and it was a low. I added refrigerant and the issue got a little better. I am thinking the fan clutch may be going bad? The truck doesn't overheat at all and in fact stays at mid-gauge throughout operation. Am I correct in pin-pointing the fan clutch?

Also, I know on the and up the TPS tells the pressure for each tire. Is there a way to get this same feature on my? Would it be possible through a software upgrade or replacing the entire DIC?

Gmc :: Yukon AC Blowing Hot Air Instead Of Cold

My A/C wasn't working (blowing hot air instead of cold), so I had some repairs done. First I was told it was some sort of bracket, replaced that. Then the guy told me it was the compressor, replaced that. About $1K later, he returned the vehicle to me, and the A/C worked about one hour, and even then wasn't super cold. I have since had the freon level checked and there are no leaks, everything seems to be OK, it just doesn't cool.

Gmc - Yukon :: 2003 XL Shuts Off While Driving

I am currently having an issue with my 2003 Yukon XL. Randomly, but mostly associated with hot outside air temps or while pulling our camper the truck will just shut off. Almost like we turned off the ignition. We don't get any sputtering or misfiring, nor does the CE light come on. After about 3-5 min we can start the truck up and keep on going. On the hot days it may do it a few more times but on others it wont do it again for weeks. I recently had it looked at and the mechanic thought it was a fuel pump. But after finding out the cost of the repair I did some investigating and found other people have had this problem. They to were told it was a fuel pump. However after it was replaced they still have had the problem.

Yukon :: AC Blower Keeps Running After Engine Is Off And Key Out Of Switch

Wife started the car, then shut it down to come back in the house and the A/C blower kept running.

With engine running, all HVAC controls work normally, but the fan continues to run after the engine is off and the key is out of the switch.

I'll pull the fuse for now but there must be a relay stuck or something.

Yukon :: 2005 XL AC Started Blowing Hot Air Even Though Set To Cold

I have a 2005 Yukon XL. In Oct 2010, my front A/C started blowing hot air even though it was set to cold. Nothing has happened since then, except that about a month ago, the A/C in the front stopped working but the A/C in the back still works great. The one in the front works when it wants to (once or twice in a week) and when it does, there is cold air coming out of it. We live in FL so it is getting pretty hot to not have A/C and we are going on vacation soon. What can be causing my A/C to work like this?

Gmc - Yukon :: 2002 - Cutting Off At High Speeds

Have a 2002 Yukon 5.3 ltr engine (155K miles) that likes to cut off at highway speeds. Usually happens after 4 or 5 hours of running at 70 to 80 mph. Strangely if I set the cruise control and do the same speeds, nothing... When it happens I end up coasting to the side at the roadway and sitting there for 15 or 20 minutes and it'll start right up and usually go the rest of the way. I've talked to a couple repair shops and they have checked service bulletins and have never been able to find anything. Will be driving to Connecticut for the 4th and not looking forward to being on 95 with the possibility of this happening again.

GMC - Yukon :: 1997 - No Clicks / Groans When Turn The Key

Battery is fine, turn the key and nothing (no clicks, groans, nada). At first it only did this when the engine was warm, wait 30 min and it would struggle as if the battery was weak but it would start. Had battery tested and it was fine. Now, it will also do this when the engine is cold. If I remove the connections to the starter and reconnect them, it starts right up and works normally hot or cold but at some point, same problem.

GMC - Yukon :: Pinging / Clanging Loudly From Undercarriage

My '05 Yukon begins pinging/clanging loudly from the undercarriage (possibly the muffler) after driving for about 10 minutes. After driving, the pinging continues for some length of time, depending on how long I was driving.

I live in the south and the problem began a couple of months after a winter trip to Chicago, complete with snow, ice and salt, and I failed to wash the undercarriage when arriving back home. There are some rust "freckles" on the frame and axle, but nothing on the muffler; the drive shaft is completely covered in rust. Could rust be the issue?
