Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Drifting / Pulling To The Right
Just had my tires rotated (which I do ever 5,000 miles) and an alignment done. Alignment appears to be in spec, but she is pulling/drifting to the right. Dealer suggested I get the tires cross-rotated, which I had done yesterday, but she is still drifting/pulling... not sure the difference. Pretty sure I have to get it back to the dealer to address, but just looking for other possible causes to potentially prevent that trip.

OK so the car has been slightly drifting left for a while, at least a year, even after alignments. Last fall i had to replace the drivers side front axle just FYI. and then lately i have noticed what sounds like uneven wear, well i had my tires rotated and rebalanced last night the guy said the tires are "wearing beautifully" yet driving home i hear the distinct " hum hum hum hum" that speeds up and slows down respectfully, also i can "feel" it when driving on smooth roads. so now im thinking i need to take it back and have the axle checked out.

View 1 RepliesBmw :: 2010 - Pulling To The Right On Wet Roads When Braking
I have a 2010 328i BMW. It's been fine with the exception of run flat tires, which we've switched out of...my present problem is with the car pulling to the right when braking on very wet roads. This doesn't happen below about 40 MPH, or on dry surfaces. The shop has checked the brakes twice and done an alignment. Is something getting wet that shouldn't, or is there an adjustment that hasn't been explored?

My steering wheel started pulling to the left when I brake, right after I had my struts replaced. The struts could be related to this problem?
View 2 RepliesFord - Explorer :: 1996 2WD V6 - Mild Bucking / Pulling Sensation When Braking
I have a 1996 Ford Explorer 2WD V6 that runs pretty well. It has approx 270,000 miles on it. My issue is whenever I stop, there seems to be a mild jerk as the truck comes to a stop. It feels like it's the wheel, but I am not sure. I was thinking it was the rotors and was going to replace them. The jerking isn't violent; instead it's almost as if the truck is bucking. It's probably not even a visible buck, but instead something you feel.

I have a 2008 Prius. It has been giving me an engine light intermittently while I am driving. My mechanic could not get an error code to show. It mostly happens while braking or while driving a right hand curve on roads at speed. What might be happening?

I have an 03 F350 4x4 dually. Was pulling hard left at low speed when braking (front). Replaced pads, calipers, rotors, hoses and tires. Still the same problem. You can feel the abs activate right before it almost locks up the left front brake (basically will pull the steering wheel out of my hand). BTW the abs light does not come on.
View 2 RepliesTouareg :: Car Pulling To The Right And Brakes Are Squeaky
I'd like to write them and open a dialogue about my minor problems before I see the dealer for my 5,000 service. Specifically, I have already complained to the dealer twice about the car pulling to the right and the squeaky brakes. While I know these are minor issues now, I would rather have a VW approved plan of action in hand before the dealer tells me there is nothing they can do about my problems. I realize this may be a futile effort but I like to document things.

View 17 RepliesTouareg :: Pulling When Upshifts To 5th Gear While Accelerating In Casual Turns
I frequently experience a short "pulling" like a course correction when the rig upshifts to 5th while accelerating in casual turns but only between about 35-40 MPH. Sometimes barely feel it, sometimes not at all but once a month or so, I get a good "pinch", enough to eb a bit scary in narrow lanes and traffic. Seems to only do this when accelerating from a stop, don't notice when driving on windy roads, etc.
No pulling while driving straight, braking or accelerating. Aligned twice by two different experienced people (knowledgeable of the air suspension) in two different places, new tires and rims, stepper motors hear and there thru the lifetime, with or without ESP, Sport, Normal or Off-Road height. Is it the self levelling kicking in, pitch/yaw sensors, ? Absolutely only in turns while accelerating and when it upshifts to 5th.
2004, air suspension, all stock, V6

Bit of sticky problem - it looks like the air suspension system has failed on my 2004 T-Reg. The back-end is dragging - down to aprox 1 foot off pavement and there is no air in the compressor bottle. The problem is that the next dealer is about 75 miles and bit of a ferry ride away. The ride is bouncy and harsh - but otherwise stable.
View 6 RepliesTouareg :: 2004 - Transmission Disengaging While Driving?
Since new in Jan 04, the trans will disengage, the tach will shoot up and then BANG engages as though I put it in nuetral & then back in drive. Third time to the dealer last Friday and all they want to do is "flash". It did it again as I was leaving the dealer. I have had this happen at 55mph while passing & warmed up but bostly while cold at low speed. 1st or 2nd gear.
I haven't seen any other complaint like this but this is a safety issue.

While I was driving my car suddenly was losing power.I tried to hit the "gas" pedal harder and it didn't react. It stayed on the same gear and after 2-3 seconds it was ok. After 10 minutes it happened again but this time I couldn't do anything. I thought it was the transmission problem so I went into manual mode to shift it down. It didn't work at all - I was shifting down but didn't have power so I had to stop. I stopped put in P turn engine on and everything came back to normal. It's worth mentioning that one time time I had to pull over and I didn't turn the car off. After couple minutes the car started to vibrate and died. I turned on and everything was ok. Fuel filter or is it something else?
