I'm the owner of a 2009 4-motion SEL with 85,000 kms....recently it has been stalling out after startup. Sometimes this occurs after driving away, but most frequently before. It usually works fine after a couple of starting attempts. I've read through some posts regarding the high pressure fuel pump as a possibility. I've also noticed a pump or fan type hum that lasts for 5-10 min. emanating from the rear of the vehicle after shutting it down. Not sure if this is normal or could be related?

So I finally got to drive my Tig 4Mo in the snow for the first time and I had some really interesting experiences. On 4 separate occasions the rear end decided to just break loose on me!
The first time I was going downhill and I had the car in auto stick and kept it in 2nd so I wouldn't have to use the brakes and im rolling along the rear starts swinging left! I counter and recover and thought ok well maybe auto stick isn't good in the snow. So I keep it in "D" for the rest of the drive and I'm chugging along no faster than 25 mph on a flat and there she goes again to the right this time... I let off the gas and counter again this time I notice the TCS start flashing as I'm recovering...
Its weird cause I wasn't on the gas anymore unlike with my 01 jetta which would only flash if I was actually accelerating....so this happens 2 more times along the way. Every time it happend I wasn't on the gas hard and I was able to recover but I'm extremely confused as to why this would EVER happen. I've driven many awd cars before in the snow and NEVER has the rear just jumped out on me without me REALLY trying to break the rear loose and it usually required a sharp turn of the wheel to do so. I was driving straight as an arrow every time she broke loose and I was barely on the gas (and not even on the gas the first time). Am I going crazy or is the something wrong with my Tig?
On a side note my TPM light is on (but all tires are fine) maybe this is bugging the computer out or something?

VW can't figure out why there is a gas smell inside the cabin after start up. My Tiguan has been in the shop going on 4 times now. All seals have been checked and fuel pump replaced.

I'm getting a mildew smell every time I turn on the AC in my Tiguan. Even if the car is warmed up and shut off for 5 minutes, when turned on again, the smell is there. It's a 2012 with only 15k miles and the cabin filter is brand new. I was thinking of getting the mold sprays to apply directly to the vents. What to do to resolve it?

My 2008 camry le v4 has some starting problem. So what happens is when i turn ignition on everything works like radio lights but no cranking i tried lock unlock. Ignition on off. But no cranking but after 2 mins it starts in first self.
It doesn't happens every time but normally Everyday in morning it starts fine but in evening it does it more or when weather is hot. Battery is new. Starter has no problems. I even tried different key.
It looks like alarm issue but i am not sure all the fuses looks fine. Every time it does it its always around 2 mins from when i put in key first time. But it always starts after delay. Its been doing this from 4 month with up to 2 weeks with no problem.
Phaeton :: 2005 Starts But Dies In Minutes
Have 2005 Phaeton with about 140,000 miles. Has run fine as long as I've had it at about 100,000. Last week it died in a parking lot after starting. It keep doing that all the way home.
Next day it started and ran a bit longer and then the serpentine belt broke. Replaced the belt and car ran fine for 10 minutes, parted it and the next day it quit after running 2 minutes.
Seems like it dies right after the computer systems cycle up.
I replaced the left side battery and keep the correct charger on it to make sure its fully charged. I start the car and it dies after a few minutes, then I notice the charger is charging the battery.
I checked the J367 battery control unit and its a D rates 2800 so should be the right one. I don't know if they can go bad. But think it could be the problem, not sure if they can be tested. Called my vw dealer and they say they need to whole vehicle.
The meter on the dash show 14 plus so I think the alternator should be fine. I did check to make sure all pulleys were turning smoothly when I changed the belt. Today I checked the Smoothing Capacitor and it tested fine.
Golf V R32 :: Horrible Smell For The First Few Minutes When AC Turned On
Back in may, the ac started having a horrible smell for the first few minutes while on. It smells like crayons gone bad. I heard about this before but either i suck at researching ( probably this) or i am the only one with this problem (I am sure I am not).
Well, today on my way back from work my i tried to tun on my ac and nothing.. the fan on the radiator works, but the blower doesn't. Researching again, i found something about the resistors on the blower going bad. However, most of the people posting about it didnt have climatronic like we do. Is it the same for us?
Which fuses and relays are related to the ac?
Tiguan :: 2009 - CEL On / Stay Lit - Car Would Run Rough After Start And Smell Of Gas
Recently picked up a 2009 Tiguan with 150.0k kms. I had my shop swap out the old spark plugs shortly after purchase along with oil change and quick go through. Shortly after I had the CEL come on with a read on the #2 injector. Through this time the CEL would come on/stay lit, the car would run rough after start and I could smell gas.
So back to the shop. I swapped out a coil to ensure it wasn't a coil issue with the same result, CEL on injector #2. I had a new injector put in on number #2 along with the new seal received when purchased. While running much more smooth now, I again have the CEL back on again on injector #2. This morning at start up the CEL came on and flashed this time a few times before staying lit. (misfire?).
I've read that it could actually be another injector which is causing #2 to fault but how do I determine which and if this is actually it?
Tiguan :: Power Loss And Strong Smell Of Fuel
My wife was driving to work today and she called me when she was almost to work and said that when she was at the red-light and said when she started from the red-light the car was fine and she hit a certain rpm and the rpm's dropped and there was a strong smell of fuel. The car was still running and would idle fine but was running almost like it was flooded or had a miss like a coil pack or spark plug. There was no check engine so I am not sure I haven't got to look at the car yet.
I forgot to mention a few months back she had a check engine for the intake manifold runner flap called the dealer and set up an appointment to take it in. Took it up and by the time we got there the check engine was off and car was running fine no issues. They said no sense in bringing it in now just set another appointment if it comes back on which it never has and still isn't on but I am wondering if this problem is related to that? I know for sure that the car is still covered under the enhanced warranty for the injectors and intake manifold.
Volkswagen - Jetta :: 99.5 - Vehicle Starts But Stalls Within 10 Minutes
So, I recently bought a 99.5 Jetta. (99 with a 00 body), fixes a few things. Alternator, oil pan, head gasket. I recently drove the car just up the road, drove it back. Went to pull in to my spot and it shut off! Wouldn't start but would crank over. Days go by, same problem. Runs for about 10 minutes then just dies. Fuel pump works, fuel filter isn't clogged. And the fuel relay works.

Here is my question.. 94 Z28 38K 6spd. Starts right up and runs well, for about 15-20 minutes then will shut down( like the key was turned off) When this happens I have no signal to either the ignition module or to the injectors.
This car was damaged by an idiot that flooded the dist. with coolant doing a flush. They replaced it with a Advance auto remain. This is when the trouble started. I did replace the I/M with an AC OEM Module, no change, verified all wiring from the computer to the Dist. and I/M. All checked out. I am thinking that the cheap remain unit is my problem and am looking to get the MSD Opti spark system to hopefully fix and to prevent this problem from happening again.
I cannot retrieve codes (94 won't flash CEL codes). Is there any other method of diag I could use to verify my suspicions. Oh, there is not response from the Tech either once the engine dies.

My Prius waste gas by always starting the engine. Even with the battery indicator at full charge. Every time the Prius is shut down, like leaving the car to go into the store for 3 minutes or more or backing Prius out of garage, the engine starts up and runs for about 4 minutes, regardless of being fully charge or not.
