Camry :: 2010 SE Radio Reception Fades In And Out
Have a 2010 Camry SE. Camry was broadsided in an accident and ever since radio has not worked properly. Radio was replaced by Toyota dealer with a new one but still same problem. Stations fade in and out like receiving weak signal. Is it possible that something connected to the antenna system was damaged in the wreck?

Having issue with XM Radio reception? My 2013 RX 350 loses signal with even minor obstructions. This is my second RX with satellite radio and 5th car and this model is terrible. I have driven behind friends with 2015 and 2010 models comparing when signals are lost and mine is significantly worse.

I have a 04 f-150 with the 5.4L engine with 200,000km on it and I'm noticing that it is starting to lack in the power department it has a k/n intake and cat dual exhaust the truck still works really good but it is starting to feel its age. What upgrades there is for the engine........now i don't want to hear ''put a super charger on it'' or '' get a gear smashing programer'' for it I'm looking for cam,head,crank, options of if there is any rebuild/performance kits out there for these motors?? also is it as simple as getting parts off other ford motors that will work better ?? I'm just not real familiar with ford motors.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: A/C Vent Control Up-gradation?
About 6 months ago I bought a 2003 F350 King Ranch to tow my toy hauler. Very happy so far. The one complaint I have is this...
The design of the heater / AC control module for this year of truck does not have a separate AC switch. There is not a separate button to turn the AC on and off and with a separate switch to choose which vent to blow the air through. For this year, I think 99-04, the vent selector switch must be turned all the way to the left and there are two AC Options... AC and Max AC. For both of these options the AC only blows through the dash vents.
Is there anyway to upgrade the in-dash unit to allow you to turn on and off the AC compressor while independently selecting, floor, foor / vent, floor / defrost, vent / defrost, etc... for the vents that the AC blows through?
I live in CA and it can get HOT... I would really like to blow the AC through the floor vents and / or the floor vents and the dash at the same time to provide more even cooling throughout the truck. Also, blowing through the floor vents would provide better cooling to the back seats.
Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: 2002 - Up-gradation Of Turbo And Exhaust?
I've been mulling over the idea of doing a muffler job on my 2002 f350 7.3 cc short bed. I do tow on and off for work and dual material for work. I am thinking of upgrading the exhaust because I noticed a couple small leaks in the muffler and I'd like to lower the egt's for the truck so it breath a bit smoother. I'm not a fan of the really high pitched sounds I've heard on some I want it deep and heavy sounding. The turbo is fine for now but eventually I'll need to know what to upgrade to once it starts to wear out. I don't plan on doing dumb chips or tunes because it's not a toy truck but a work and daily driver.

Reception on the FM radio is not very good unless you are tuned to a local station.
View 7 RepliesSonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Poor AM Reception
My Sonata has developed an issue with listening to AM stations. Unless I'm well out of an area that may have interference I hear so much static that you can't even make out words.
This was never an issue, started the last couple of months. While this happens FM and XM stations are perfectly fine. This issue is limited to my vehicle only, all other vehicles seem to play AM in that area perfectly fine. There are some days (very few) where the radio will work fine in this but a couple minutes later go back to static.
I have no tints, no changes were made to the stereo either. This is the headunit w/ nav, xm radio etc.

Non existent reception when going under underpasses, drive through windows, or near power lines.
View 9 RepliesLexus GS 2006-11 :: FM Radio Reception - Some Stations Would Go In And Out Of Static
I just purchased a 2009 gs 350 a few months ago with 40k on it fully certified. I quickly noticed that most of the fm radio stations were static even local ones that I usually listen to all the time. Some stations would go in and out of static but too annoying for me to deal with. Ive tried turning random things on and off to see if it changes the reception but nothing works or makes it worse.
At first I thought I'd just deal with it, but then I realized how much radio I actually listen to. So I brought it to the local lexus dealer a few weeks ago to see if they could fix it. They replaced the head unit once with no success, so they ordered another one and replaced the original with it. They had the car for two weeks and when I picked the car up they said that all the stations come in except a couple.. Turns out it seems to be exactly the same as it was before, maybe slightly better. I want this fixed completely with no static at all especially since the car is certified and most things are covered.
I think it could only be one of three things the head unit, the rear windshield (where the fm antenna is located) or the wiring in between the two. Since they already replaced the head unit twice I think its safe to say its not the head unit even though they said they tested it somehow and that's what the problem was......
Passat (B7) :: 2012 - RNS510 Losing Nav Satellite Reception
I have a 2012 Passat with RNS510 nav radio and it just started losing Sat Nav reception. I will Start it up and it will have say 5-7 satellites out 10 and slowly the number will drop to 0 and sometimes the nav will show me off road and in fields sometimes in another city. I was told it was the antenna.

Noticed poor FM radio reception in 2012? Mine seems to just barely fade in and out. It's not terribly noticeable, but definitely happening. It's frustrating when streaming Bluetooth actually sounds better than the FM radio reception! I'm wondering if it's a problem specific to my car or if it's an issue everyone is experiencing.
View 16 RepliesPrius (Gen 3) :: FM Radio Frequently Loses Reception After 12V Battery Changed
Recently, we had to change the 12V auxiliary battery on our 2010 Prius IV. Everything went smoothly and the entire procedure took less than 20 minutes. We thought everything was good, until we turned on the radio.
Since we changed the 12V battery, the FM radio (which is part of the NAV console) has great difficulty keeping any station tuned. Before changing the 12V battery, we could drive around and listen to our favorite FM radio stations; now, the radio frequently loses reception, and our music frequently gets interrupted with static.
It's been a couple months, and the situation has not improved. We took a look at the antenna, and nothing looks out of the ordinary. It seem odd that changing a 12V aux battery would cause this problem, but we have not made any other changes (not even an oil change) for several months.
Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: No AM Reception After Installation Of Aftermarket Radio
So I just installed my Pioneer 4400BH - Took several hours and all went well - EXCEPT - no AM reception after I installed the radio. FM seems fine.
Two possible guesses:
1. Did not push the antenna connector in far enough.
2. Gen 3's use an antenna amplifier. I did not think that Gen IIs used on so I did not connect the Power antenna lead to anything.
Volvo - Xc90 :: Electronics And Navigation - How To Boost Weak Radio Reception
Does the XC90 have a very weak radio reception? Some of the FM stations that were normally very strong in my other cars were weak at the XC90, and some of the AM stations that were normally okay got no signal at all at the XC90. Is there anything I can do to boose the radio reception?
