Camry 2012+ :: Satellite Radio Reception - Lose Signal All The Time
I bought, new, a 2012 Camry back in 2012. I got the satellite radio option. The reception with satellite is horrible. On the clearest of days, I lose signal all the time making it useless trying to listen to it.
Yes, I understand vegetation can hinder reception. But, it shouldn't to this extent. Not long after I bought the Camry, I purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion. It, too, had satellite radio.
I think, in the 2 years I had the Fusion, I lost signal 2 times. On the cloudiest, foggiest, snowiest, and raniest of days, the Fusion never lost sat signal.
I had the dealer check out the system and they found nothing wrong. I've let my subscription to Sirius expire since I can't even get a decent signal. Is this typical of the satellite radio with Camry's???

Having issue with XM Radio reception? My 2013 RX 350 loses signal with even minor obstructions. This is my second RX with satellite radio and 5th car and this model is terrible. I have driven behind friends with 2015 and 2010 models comparing when signals are lost and mine is significantly worse.

The thing just randomly will dump it's station preset memory and I'll turn the car on and all my stations will be gone and replaced with 184 (weather, i think). Everything else is fine, FM is fine, and it remembers everything else... it just loses SR1/SR2 presets. Very odd.

Noticed poor FM radio reception in 2012? Mine seems to just barely fade in and out. It's not terribly noticeable, but definitely happening. It's frustrating when streaming Bluetooth actually sounds better than the FM radio reception! I'm wondering if it's a problem specific to my car or if it's an issue everyone is experiencing.

I'm experiencing issues with the radio when I change from AM to FM. If on AM mode and I go to audio button or on Steering Switches and push FM, it switches to FM reception (get the radio station on FM) however read out on the screen still says AM and all the presets are in AM mode.
On the reverse from FM to AM same occurs.
Is this a software issue?

Reception on the FM radio is not very good unless you are tuned to a local station.

B5 03 Passat Wagon - I am having a problem pulling in am reception on the radio. I am getting significant static. When I remove the antenna mast, I get no reception. When I put it back on, reception returns but has static. Static gets worse when I put my had on the antenna mast and resolves to just regular static (along with radio program) when my hand is take off. Non existent reception when going under underpasses, drive through windows, or near power lines.

I'm on my 4th passat. Have an 08 Komfort. This by far is my most favorite of the 4 passats I've owned. This is the first VW I have had with satellite radio. I noticed not long after I got it that I could hear a high pitched beep that lasted maybe 3 or 4 seconds while I was listening to the satellite radio. It seemed to just happen at random times. I took it on a 500 mile trip a few weeks ago and I just figured out exactly when this happens............it happens when I hit the brakes while I am listening to sirius only. It doesn't happen while listening to FM or AM (I didn't try a CD). It doesn't do it every time, but at least 50% of the time. It almost always seems to happen if I have the cruise control on and I hit the brakes to disable it. I'm going to mention it to the dealer when I take it in for service.

Accent RB (2012+) :: Sputtering Like Losing Power Around 30 - 40 Mph
This began occurring after I hosed down my engine with degreaser, stupid me. Car will begin to sputter like it is losing power around 30-40mph, and then it's fine. Rarely it happens around higher speeds with the cruise control on around 65 its just fine and the CEL never came on. Well yesterday i pulled the battery cable for 30 minutes to let things reset, then i got a CEL, code P0030 which I think is an o2 sensor, so i guess it went bad from the water perhaps? What part I need, where it is located and how difficult this would be to do in the driveway?

I swear I am losing gas over night... So to test this I have been filling my tank up to full every night before I park it. Sure enough I am losing about one hash each night. It is cold here, below freezing over night.
So do I need a gas cap (No CEL on currently, but it is from 2006), or is that just kind of normal?
Passat (B5) :: Losing About Half Quart Of Coolant Every Week
I'm pretty new but we have an '02 Passat (68K miles) that has been pretty trouble free until lately. I'm losing about a 1/2 quart of coolant every week to 10 days; just enough for the coolant light to come on. The car never overheats and the oil looks clean (not milky). But I can't find the leak . I do see some dirt and grime build up on the front of the engine as well at the rear of the engine near the tranny, but nothing definite..

I have a 2002 Passat 1.8T. It has been acting funny for a couple weeks now. It seems to be missing, then last night I took off from a four way stop and the engine light started to blink and the car was loosing power and not really taking any throttle. I managed to get it into a parking lot then I popped the hood and first noticed the inside of the turbo was lit up bright red. Now I dont know if this was cause from me trying to throttle it to get into the parking lot while it was loosing power or if my problem is the turbo or maybe an exhaust issue. I hooked up the diagnostic tool and the only thing read was P0303 for cylinder 3 so I dont know if the misfire was from the loosing power or if this is my issue.

I have a B6 passat --- left the cat alone which comes off the turbo but cut out the "mid muffler" or scrubber right before the sensor and prior to the mufflers.
Noticed no turbo lag --- car seems fast and much smoother across the power band BUT doesn't give me that kick anymore. Must I flash the computer as well?
My engineering friend said that since the air flow is now faster than the engine runs hotter and ill prob stress the engine and burn out my cat much quicker... comments!?
Also do I need to put in a diverter pipe to satisfy the sensor --- so far no check engine but I dread the day...
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Poor AM Reception
My Sonata has developed an issue with listening to AM stations. Unless I'm well out of an area that may have interference I hear so much static that you can't even make out words.
This was never an issue, started the last couple of months. While this happens FM and XM stations are perfectly fine. This issue is limited to my vehicle only, all other vehicles seem to play AM in that area perfectly fine. There are some days (very few) where the radio will work fine in this but a couple minutes later go back to static.
I have no tints, no changes were made to the stereo either. This is the headunit w/ nav, xm radio etc.
Tiguan :: 2010 - No AM Reception After Up Gradation Of RCD-510?
My 2010 Tiggy S had the base radio so I upgraded to RCD-510 and installed the antenna adapter. The roof antenna only has one coax from it to the radio. FM reception is great. What am I missing?
