Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Transmission Fluid Leak From Passenger Side Axle Seal
I have a 2006 sonata 3.3 with auto trans I'm having trouble with fluid leaking from the passenger side axle seal. I have already replaced the seal with a Hyundai seal and it is still leaking. Not as bad as before but it leaks onto the exhaust and smells really bad. The transmission is not overfull...

I have a 2003 3.5 liter, AWD and I'm attempting to remove and replace the drive axle on the passenger side. I have the one end out of the hub, but the transmission end will not come out. I removed the bolts holding the bearing plate, and have been trying to pry out the axle with no luck.
View 3 RepliesSonata NF (2006-10) :: 2008 - Axle Clunk Only Once When Turning The Wheel
I have changed my drivers side axle within a 10,000 mile period twice. I recently had my rack and pinion changed with sway bar links and front shocks. The problem existed before all of this so I know it was not a mechanics/ shop fault. I can hear my axle clunk only once when i'm turning the wheel and it only happens when I am on the brakes at the same time, if i turn with out pressure on the brakes it doesn't make a clunking sound. Every time I replace the axle the sound goes away for a couple of months than proceeds to come back. I can't pin point the problem, maybe its the hub assembly or the axle seal but none of it makes sense in my head.

I'm having trouble removing the plastic engine cover on my 2008 Sonata. I removed the two 10mm nuts on top and can raise the front part up, but the rear won't release...so what's holding it on and how do I release the rear side?
View 2 RepliesSonata NF (2006-10) :: MAF Sensor Connector Removal
I tried to remove the MAF in 2007 Sonata Limited, and could not figure out how. I removed a cap by lifting the tabs on the sides, but the connector with the wires was still attached. I flipped over and saw another kind of tab on the bottom and seemed to be tricky to be disengaged. I did not want to go further because I broke Toyota ignitor connector not too long ago so I know some of the connectors with plastic tabs can be delicate. I want to make sure it is more clear to me before I proceed further.

I have a 206 Lexus GS300. I am trying to remove the right side CV Axle, but it has been a hard day for me. I have removed the spindle from the lower ball joint.
I have followed the instructions to the dot, removed the snap ring before the bearing, and have worked my butt of using a slide hammer. IT is just not budging. I warmed up the bearing side of the CV Axle, tried to chisel it from the transmission side of the joint, slide hammered it switching between a 10 and 20lber, between me and my 2 sons.
I even tied a chain around the cv-axle second cylinder and used a slider on the chain It is just not budging. I opened up the left hand side cv axle to see if i punch a rod into it to pop the right side out. Doesn't look like i have anything that small and stiff to use. I am about at the end of what I can do?
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Center Console Removal (Storage Area)
I have an 09 SE, In the center area under the radio I had a access card slide over the open bottom door into the abyss where I lost a tire gauge and who knows what else lurks in there. It was supposed to go in the top open area but the person just put it on the open door and it slid back and fell.
How to remove the side panels that run from the console in the center to under the dash? I need to access the area under the dash below the 2 storage areas.
I am assuming you take the screws out on the side and possibly pop the shift indicator panel out and lift the console off? Seems a little overkill unless there is an easier way. I really don't want to experiment and break anything.
Avalon 2005-12 :: 2006 - How To Replace Drivers Side CV Axle
How to replace cv axle on 2006 limited? Looks pretty straight forward, perhaps useful hints? Never done a cv axle before. Seems to be lots of play on the inner axle where it connects to trans. Pops when accelerating and braking and turning.

I have to pull the left front axle shaft on my 95 250 4X4 to replace one of the axle ujoints. Before I get into this project, I'm going to replace all wheel bearings and related seals while I'm at it. Well the old ball ball joints are out, new ones are in and now I'm working on removing gear assembly so I can change the inner axle seals. I've been trying to get it out. It haven't had much luck. I've loosened the cap bolts, prayed, pulled, hit, and still no luck. The only thing I've been successful at is screwing up the first few threads of the bolt holes for the passenger side cap. Tomorrow I'll be getting a tap and chasing the threads to clean them up. Hope I haven't screwed it up too bad. How to get the gear assembly out?

So I noticed a while back when I bought this car that my driver's side side-view mirror was a little loose. I didn't think anything of it back then b/c it still worked fine. Then just a couple of weeks ago the driver's side side-view mirror fell & hung by the wires connected to it. I can put it back to how's is supposed to be but it's really loose now. So I looked at the plastic pieces that hold this thing in place and I saw this:
If I put it back where it's supposed to be it stays up there but is very loose!

I have a E99 F350 7.3L 4x4 I know some or most of you have already probably replaced this part and or pulled a front axle shaft out. So here is my question...In the pictures provided you can see what I think everyone is calling a "Dust Seal" and as you can see it is bad and making a very terrible noise when i hit a bump...I was wondering what parts I would need to replace this seal? I tried looking it up and just get lost in all of the other things....I have found write-ups for the axle being removed while changing ball joints but none by it self to just replace this seal.
