Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Fuel Tank Air Filter Location

Where is the fuel tank air filter located? If you will look in your maint. log or owners manual for the four cyl. under emmissions control you will find the fuel tank air filter to be inspected at 15000 miles and changed at 30000 miles.

Accent MC (2006-11) :: Air Bubbling Up Through The Fuel - Tank Is Pressurized

I drive a 2006 Accent. A few days ago the code 0496 popped up for evap system issues. The fuel tank is pressurized quite a bit and with the filler cap off you can hear air bubbling up through the fuel. Sounds like blowing air through a straw into a drink. It is constant and putting the cap back on it re-pressurizes quickly. I have never seen this before in any vehicle.

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: 2008 Won't Start After Refilling Tank

My 2008 Hyundai Sonata wouldn't start on two separate occasions after I had refilled my tank. The first incident happened a little over a month ago (early August 2011), the starter would crank, and crank, but no signs of life in the engine. Tested the spark plugs, I was getting spark, but the sucker wouldn't start. The car was only at about 55k miles when this problem began.

I had the car towed to the dealership, and they said after 4 long attempts, they got it to start. I took it home, and the next morning I couldn't start it again. Towed it back a second time, and it started right up for them. Drove it back home again, and for a little more than a month, the car ran fine, but things started acting up again.

A few days ago the wife pulled the car out of the garage (fyi: my garage is level) stopped the car on our slanted driveway and when she came back to start it just minutes later, it hesitated, but did turn over. I filled up the tank, parked it in my garage and the very next morning, I could not start my car again.

Called for a tow from AAA, and the driver said "let me try something". Pulled out a hammer, and wacked the bottom of my gas tank 4 or 5 times. The tow guy gets in, tuns the ignition to engage the fuel pump (didn't turn the key all the way), he does this about 4 times, then the very next turn of the key it starts right up. The driver said it sounded like a bad fuel pump.

I drive the car back to the dealership (this is the third time) and talk to the same guy I had dealt with all along. He calls me later in the day to tell me they finally got it to not start and were able to isolate the problem to the fuel pump sensor. They replaced the fuel pump assembly and I was off and running.

To summarize:
*Refilling the tank on two separate occasions seemed to be related to the car not starting the following day.
*Towing the car allowed the car to jostle back & forth, which for some reason would allow the dealer to start it when it arrived.
*Was able to start the car by hitting the fuel tank (just underneath it) with a hammer, turning the key 3/4 of the way on a few times, then turning the key all the way.
*Dealer diagnosed bad fuel pump sensor, and replaced fuel pump assembly.

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Gas Splashing Back When Filling Tank

So I fill up my 2007 Sonata for the very first time. I'm squeezing the trigger on the pump, it clicks off automatically when it senses it's full, then about a pint of gas backs up out of the tank and onto the floor. Is there some sort of design flaw on the Sonata that causes this to happen? It could have been a problem with the pump, but I don't usually have that happen with my other cars.

Accent MC (2006-11) :: Hard Time Starting After Putting Fuel In Tank

My wife and i have an 07 accent 2 door and we have a very hard time starting the car after putting fuel in it. Tank level doesn't seem to affect this issue. The car has 160,000 km on it. I've replaced the coil packs already twice. After getting the car to start after putting fuel in it it struggles at idle for the first 15-30 sec and then bang problem is gone until the next time i put fuel in it.

Camry :: 2006 Toyota - Sloshing Noise From Fully Filled Fuel Tank When Stop The Car

When I stop the car, sloshing noise come from back of 2006 Toyota Camry after filling full tank of gas. Tried couple times, I can still hear the noise feels like liquid sloshing noise coming from fuel tank. Even after I parked the car, tried to push the back side of my 2006 Toyota Camry, sounds like the fuel is sloshing from the tank. Is it normal? I never heard about this before, maybe I didn't notice. It was not loud but audible.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2006 - Fuel Gauge Dropped To Empty From 3/4 Of Tank - Sensitive Gas Pedal?

I bought a 2006 F250 6.0L a couple of months ago, from a dealership. It's been bulletproofed already, has an intake, coolant filter kit. Has 95k (mileage). Today, my fuel gauge dropped to empty from 3/4 of a tank for a couple of miles and set off the CE light. I hooked my scan tool to it, to clear the code (P0460).

After just checking other things out with the scan tool. I cleared it and went on... I had to run to the store, later on... I was pulling out of the neighborhood and the gas pedal was a lot more "touchy" and the truck, responded to it and it launched pretty good and blew a good amount of black smoke.

Do any of you think this has/or had a tuner on it and I may have activated it with my scanner?

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Ran Out Of Fuel With 1/8 Tank And No Low Fuel Light?

So my 7.3 started sputtering and lost power, died on the side of the road. I wasn't far from home put about 8 gallon of diesel in the tank with a couple of fuel jugs and it fired right up.

Gauge was reading 1/8 of a tank and low fuel light did not come on. (low fuel light comes on when you start) Gauge came up to about 1/2 after putting fuel in.

What happened? Gauge was always reliable and low fuel light always did work. Only work done to fuel system was had new tank straps put on a couple of months ago.

Ford Fuel System :: E350 - Fuel Tank / Pump Noise After Cutoff

This van has had a couple of fuel pumps, no surprise there, and i need to look through my paperwork and find out how many miles the current one has on it, but it has the STRANGEST habit I've ever had on any vehicle. Starts fine, runs fine, no fuel pump noise when van is running, and when you turn it off, the fuel pump creeks on and off for several minutes.

I mean a strange creaking noise almost like a shorted electrical device or a vehicle's brakes when you park it on a hill and the breaks creak as it settles into place. I'm probably doing a lousy job of describing this but i don't know how else to describe it!

ALSO, if you lay under the van and wait til it stops creaking, you can tap the bottom of the tank and it will creak for a few more seconds. You can tap repeatedly and make it creak more. Is it about to explode? Can i trust it on a road trip?

Ford Fuel System :: 1976 F150 - Fuel Draining All The Way Back To Tank

My vehicle:
1976 F150 2wd Extended cab
390 4bbl
c6 transmission
4BBL Edlebrock Carb
Dual fuel tanks, only rear main tank connected

My problem: For the first year I owned the truck, everything ran fine and it started up really quickly even after it sat for a few days or a few weeks. I have since, for about the last year or so, had to crank it for 30-45 seconds to get it to start. This all started around the time my fuel pump went out. I replaced it with an Airtex fuel pump from Autozone. I also installed a glass in line filter before the carb in front of the distributor.

I noticed that after about 4-6 hours, the fuel had drained out of the filter and that's when I would have to crank it forever to get it going. It also seems like there is no fuel in the carb as it doesn't even try to start when it first gets cranked. I thought this was a bad pump, so I bought a new one last week and tried it again. Sure enough after about 4-6 hours, everything is empty again and it takes forever to start it. So it's not a bad pump, or so I think.

The other day I backed it into my driveway and left it, something I never do. I checked about 4 days later and there was still fuel in the filter. This makes me think that gravity is making it drain back to the tank.

Is there something that would cause this? Also I have found a one way fuel check valve online that is supposed to remedy this type of problem. Do they work for this situation? Or is there something else I should be doing to fix this? It has taken a bit of a toll on my starting system having to crank so long all the time. I have so far had to replace my starter, starter solenoid, and all the battery cables, starter cable, terminals, etc. due to excessive wear.

The valve I found is here : [URL] .....

Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Fuel Line Connector Came Off

Today i came back from a long drive around 250km. After 1 hour i again started the car it drove well for 2 minute then suddenly engine conked off wasn't restarting i knew it was a fuel related issue. Then I smelled petrol got out of the car saw pool of petrol but it wasn't leaking i removed the panel in my boot and to my horror i found the fuel line connector was unattached to the fuel pump.

So whenever if i would switch on ignition it will spill fuel everywhere. I reattached it and got a nice locking sound tried to pull it but it was really secure. What should i do?Get the connector replaced? An year ago i got my fuel pump replaced could this be because it was not connected properly?
