Prius (2010-12) :: Removing Roof Antenna?
I'm going to wrap my roof but I dont know how to remove the roof antenna. Is there a write up somewhere?

My wife and I just completed a 1k-mile trip yesterday, and during our 65-70 mph drive we heard a frightening banging on our roof. Both of us thought someone had dropped large stones from an overpass. There were maybe 5 bangs, then a pause for a minute, and another 3 bangs. All were loud enough that we feared something would come through the roof.

I just bought a 2012 C- 3 ... Today it's been very cold here (Chicago) the first day it's been this cold since I bought the car last month. Anyway as I'm driving every now and then there's a very loud thump on the roof like the wind is pushing the roof in. It seems to happen as bursts of wind hit the car.

I just recently bought a 2014 Prius v and it has a scrape/dent on the roof that has some rust (I knew about it going into the purchase). I was quoted around $700 to get it repaired, but I am wondering how difficult it might be for me to fix it on my own. My reasoning is that this vehicle is going to be used for road trips and car camping, in addition to being my daily driver, so I expect that it will get fairly dinged up over the course of my ownership. I'm not super concerned about the dent, mainly just the rust. So if possible, I'm hoping to save some money on the repair and just remove the rust and paint the effected area. Also, with it being on the roof it's not something that stands out that much so I'm not looking for the perfect visual repair.

I've been traveling on the highway a lot lately for work and it seems like whenever I put my 2006 Prius on cruise speed at around 72-76 MPH, engine noise is through the roof. Now I understand that Prius has a small engine compared to my stronger Camry, but I was wondering to know about highway speed and RPM's for 2nd Gen Prius?

If I drive at higher speeds (anything above 40mph) I get an unusual wind vibration noise when the roof is fully retracted. If I roll it forward an inch or two it seems fine. Seems like a bit of a design flaw.

Prius :: 2010 - Water Leaking From Roof / Driver Pillar?
I have a 2010 Prius. After a heavy rain, sometimes but not always, water will drip from the front driver pillar and more recently from the roof immediately adjacent to the sunglasses holder. This happens usually after a turn or acceleration/ deceleration, i.e. when water trapped in the roof somewhere gets to slosh around. The past few days ive had the switch in the on position but when I exit the car and come back hours later after it's been in full sun the fan isn't on and the cabin isn't lower in temp. Occasionally when I shut off the car I hear a short beep and I assume that means the system is active and later I find it is, but that is with the moon roof open. Is it normal for the fan to not turn on unless the roof is open?

We just bought an 2008 GX470 w/ 68,000 miles from a local non-lexus dealer and I believe we may have an air suspension issue. We made note of it prior to purchase and as they don't have mechanics on the weekend they weren't able to look at it so it was written in our contract to be looked at. Otherwise the car is fantastic and had been dealer maintained on every service interval minus the 65,000 mile interval.
Anywho See, when we were looking at the car it was parked in between two other GX and they both sat higher in the rear than the one we bought. I turned the car on and the compressor kicked on and raised the rear up to the same height as the others. I toggled between High and low and that seemed to work fine as well. My question is, should the car lower itself overtime (i.e not immediately after you turn it off but over the course of 1-2 hours it will lower down) or should it stay at normal height when you turn the car off? If it does lower why would it be sitting lower than the other two GX (unless they were recently driven)? There is also another GX at my work and I parked next to it today to see if it sat at a similar height and when I parked next to it in the morning they were similar heights and around lunch our GX was lower. I have a feeling there is a leak in a fitting or a line since it's not leaning to one side or the other but wanted to get opinion of the experts prior to talking to the dealer's mechanics.
Regal :: 1998 - ABS Unit To Brake Line Fitting?
I would like to replace the brake line to the rear brakes, and I noticed that the brake line-to-ABS unit fittings have different threads. I already replaced the line to the Left-Rear brake, and it had a fitting with a thread M10-1.0. I tried to replace the line to the Right-Rear brake using a similar fitting M10-1.0, but it did not work. I just damaged the thread on the brake line fitting itself. Then I noticed that the thread on the current Right-Rear fitting is different. what that thread size should be (the fitting to the Right-Rear brake line)?
It is 98 Regal LS 3800 engine.
Golf IV R32 :: 2003 - Fitting Supercharged Boost Gauge
I live in Scotland so have a right hand drive 2003 MKIV R32. I got a VF stage 1 kit fitted last year and now I want to fit a boost gauge. I've bought a NewSouth indigo 0-30 psi gauge and a column pod.
What I need to know is where to take the feed from, where is the best place to fit the vacuum tube to get the best readings? any photos would be good.
I plan on fitting it this weekend along with my oil pressure gauge.
Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Rear Towing Relay Not Fitting
I am beginning the process of setting up my gx for towing. It is a 2004 with KDSS. I have all the front two relays and wiring harness, but I have run into a problem with the rear towing relay- the relay that goes near the driver side rear tail light. I purchased what I thought was the proper relay part number 81985-60021. The problem is that the relay does not appear to be the proper fit for what I think is the plug that it belongs to. I have supplied a pic of the relay end and the plastic white thing that the plug in the back of the vehicle was plugged into. They are obviously not the same, but there is nothing else in the area that the relay would plug into.
