Golf IV R32 :: Removing Antenna Base?
Replacing the antenna base on the roof? I have looked at the DIY for a Golf and those make it seem easy but on the R32 there is a metal piece running along the roof which doesn't allow you to access the wiring for the antenna base to disconnect the wires. How to remove this metal piece or disconnect the wiring?

I recently got my UW F-Sport roof vinyl wrapped with gloss black. A local shop didn't want to wrap the antenna cover and recommended I get an obsidian black cover instead. So, I went to the dealership, ordered the part and now I have the cover. I looked up threads here on CL thinking it'd be an easy 5 minute DIY but apparently that's not the case. One member said he had to remove the interior c-pillar trims, part of the headliner etc. etc. Another said to just remove the rear seat light dome and someone else said the a dealership just prys it off. I tried the light dome, all I was able to get to were the bulbs.

Today I started to install my satellite radio in the 250. I ran the antenna through the roof where the 3rd brake light is. The lights were not working so I thought I'd just replace them while it was off the truck. To my surprise the bulbs the guy had installed must have been too big because the wires, sockets and the housing were melted and not really usable. With that said. I can't seem to find a web site that would have an aftermarket setup that would fit the roof of a F250.

Just got a mild lift done on my Ex and still wanting to park it in the garage.
If I remove the useless rails and cross bars that looks like it's still a possibility.
What to fill the holes with? Just torx screws? Anything else I need to do to prevent water leakage?

Prius :: 2010 - Water Leaking From Roof / Driver Pillar?
I have a 2010 Prius. After a heavy rain, sometimes but not always, water will drip from the front driver pillar and more recently from the roof immediately adjacent to the sunglasses holder. This happens usually after a turn or acceleration/ deceleration, i.e. when water trapped in the roof somewhere gets to slosh around. The past few days ive had the switch in the on position but when I exit the car and come back hours later after it's been in full sun the fan isn't on and the cabin isn't lower in temp. Occasionally when I shut off the car I hear a short beep and I assume that means the system is active and later I find it is, but that is with the moon roof open. Is it normal for the fan to not turn on unless the roof is open?

Just bought a 2010 Prius II. The engine was overheated. Question, is there enough clearance to remove the engine alone, or will I need to drop the engine and transmission as an assembly? Looks Ike there is room. Mechanic at the dealer is telling me there isn't.

I seem to have cracked the black plastic part located directly under the front bumper. When I was parking it caught rebar and pulled it and it cracked. The pressure clip popped out but I was able to pin it back in. Is this called correct a splash shield? Again it's that black piece of plastic immediately under the regular bumper.
It has caught before in the past and I am considering just removing it completely. If it is indeed the piece it looks like online the part is around 35-40.
I'm halfway tempted to just leave it. If the car were new its a different story but if it works just taking it out without any issues then that's certainly an option too.

Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Antenna Fin Came Off / Can Just Reattach Or Did It Break?
I have the 2014 RX350 and backed out of my garage with the door partially open.
It took off the Antenna "fin" which is on the top in the rear. There was a black piece underneath.
Need to determine if the part needs to be replaced or if I can just re-attach? I've included some pictures....
