Prius (2004-09) :: Triangle / VSC And Yellow Exclamation Lights On With No CEL - Code P0A09

I currently have a 2008 Touring Package 6 with 180k and I am getting weird problems. I am getting the triangle of death, VSC, and yellow ! light. There is no check engine light. On the LCD I am getting the red battery + - icon as well as the car hybrid icon. I scanned it and I am getting a hybrid code P0A09 . All of the maintenance have been kept up and all fluids are perfect. No weird noises and the car is doing 53 mpg. It switches between gas and electric with no problems at all. Symptoms were yesterday with the lights. I cleared the codes and they would come back instantly. Today, I did the same thing and now everything is perfect. I am attaching the pictures of my dashboard lights that were on and the codes I was able to obtain in diagnostic mode.

Prius (Gen 2) :: Red Master Warning And Yellow Braking System Lights - Code P0A08

My 2006 prius has the Master warning light(red) and the braking system light (Yellow) on while I am driving, and I went to the dealer.

The technician told me that he could not verify any warning lights ON at that moment, and he performed health and diagnostic checks on it. He inspected connection at auxiliary battery and junction box 1. All checked OK at this time. No repairs recommended at this time.

However, the master warning light came on when I pick up the vehicle. The dealer told me that they will inspect it again tomorrow. And they found that there a P0A08 error code. They suggested me to replace the hybrid converter/inverter.. My car can still drive while the lights ON.

I have a 2006 prius with 129,000 miles,,i was driving to work in the moring and the hybrid system light came on. So after work went to a friends house to check the code and it has 2 codes.... First one is p0a08 and the second code p3108. Before this happened 2 months ago it had the same problem, a/c stop blowing cold . Park my car for a 3 hours. I got the Check Engine/VSC/Triangle of Death errors yesterday. Autozone reports it is P0A80 (replace Hybrid battery) though no additional details reported.

I'm the original owner, and after some reading suspect it could be something else because:

1. In 8 years, the starter battery has never been replaced.

2. For about two months, the throttle has been hesitating when first accelerating (within first five minutes of turning it on). Yes, it is the hot summer months (though mild compared to previous summers). And the hesitation occurs even in the morning before things really heat up. This is definitely even worse after the error lights came on.

I've seen recommendations to replace the starter battery first. And other recommendations for "throttle body cleaning." I'm not a mechanic, but obviously would hate to have the hybrid pack replaced if it is something else.

Prius (2004-09) :: 2006 Won't Start / Sometimes Multiple Indicator Lights Go On And Off

I have a 2006 Toyota Prius and it won't start after it was detailed. No engine detail. The key will still lock and unlock the car and when I press the power button sometimes nothing happens and sometimes multiple indicator lights go on and off. The battery is not dead but it may be low and the car was working perfectly before it was detailed. The doors were left open for some time and I'm sure buttons were inadvertently pressed during the cleaning. I tried to jump start but no luck. Is there a way to reboot the system or a way I could troubleshoot before we tow it to the dealer?

Prius (2004-09) :: Beeping With No Indicator Lights During Startup And After Driving For A While

I've been having an on going issue where my Pirus will start beeping but there is no indicator light I can see showing any kind of issue. It will start beeping during startup and after driving for a while, no exact time something like after 25~30 mins. It sounds like the seatbelt beep but louder and both will beep when my wife does not have hers on.

I replaced the Aux battery(was old needed to anyway) with a yellow top but that didn't fix it. And again there is no indicator on the dash or display showing issues no red or orange triangles. Checked the prius's diagnostics but no codes appear under the diagnosis check I or II, sycheck mode or LAN monitor.

Prius (2004-09) :: Intermittent Misfire Cylinder 1 Code

I posted this problem several months ago about a p301 code that my 2007 Prius has been generating. I eliminated all the easy stuff... plug, spark unit, fuel injector. Over the past year since I've had the car, the CEL light has gone on for a couple months then shut itself off for a couple, then back on ... probably has shut itself off 3 times in the past year, each time staying off about a month or two before coming back on. Some background on the car, supposedly the PO hit a rock and damaged the motor about 2 years ago and had the short block replaced.

Anyway, the CEL has been on again for about a month, and I got a notice for Illinois emission testing, so I decided to take it in to the dealer and have him do a diagnostic so I can get the emissions passed. After an hour and a half of testing they told me that the best they could ascertain, the car has been submerged in water, as there is a lot of rust in areas that never get any rust, and they think there's a short somewhere.

The service manager at the dealership said if it was his car he wouldn't spend the money for another 5 hours of trouble shooting, and if the car runs good he'd just drive it as is. They cleared the CEL and the service manager just charged me for an oil change as they caught a recall on the steering that hadn't been done and figured he'd let me slide on the hundred for the diagnostic.

Prius (2004-09) :: No Fault Code But Intermittent Red Triangle

Seems like issues with my 06 prius battery are back, however this time it is rather strange but very predictable. I cannot read any trouble code as the red triangle on the dash (and "problem" on the display) never stays on more than a few seconds (1-5 seconds at most).

At first it was doing this only after long downhill driving (like my 1.5 mile downhill street at 25 mph) - charging the battery and once getting to the last green bar I would get a Bip, red triangle and "problem" on the display. This has been going on for 4 weeks roughly.

But it's gradually getting worse, the same symptoms would appear after shorter downhill driving. And now it does almost every time I get the foot of the accelerator (assuming the car has decent momentum to regenerate).

I am guessing a module is starting to fail but last time I had a failed block, it didn't do that. One day I got the red triangle along with a bunch of other lights and that was it.

Prius (2004-09) :: Turn Off Intermittent Beeping When Red Triangle Lights Up?

I have a 2007 Prius 5 with 205,000 miles. Just recently, while Im driving the Red Triangle blinks on intermittently along with an annoying beeping. I took to dealer and they diagnosed error code C1300 which indicated that I needed a new "Brake actuator assembly with skid control ECU". I declined price tag because they said it's nothing critical (despite that it sounds rather important), and car will run fine without replacing this part. However, they said "nothing we can do about the intermittent red triangle and beeping".

Is this true? It's a very annoying noise. I know that it is possible to turn off the reverse beeping. Isn't there a fuse associated with "beeping" that could simply be disconnected?

Prius V :: Intermittent Then Constant TPMS Warning Indicator

After setting TPs to 41F/40R and resetting the TPMS via the under-dash button, and driving the v5 around, I still get the intermittent then constant TPMS warning indicator. It's not the TPs. Perhaps it's the TPMS sensors?

Camry :: Check Engine And Slip Indicator Lights Came On - Code P0101

I had the 2010 Camry I-4 in the dealer last week for the 40K service. They told me I needed fuel injector cleaning and a throttle body housing cleaning which I had done. This afternoon the check engine light came on and at the same time the Slip Indicator light came on.

I ran by Auto-Zone to have them pull the code for the check engine light and it was P0101 which AZ says is Mass or Volume Airflow circuit range and listed probable causes as:Open or short circuit condition, MAF/VAF sensor failure, or Faulty ECM. I called the dealer for an appointment Thursday morning and told him the story and asked if the throttle body or injector cleaning could cause the mass air flow problem. He said "probably not". He also told me that when the Check Engine light comes on the Slip indicator light automatically comes on to show that the VSC is not working while the check engine light is on.

My question is, could the cleaning cause the P0101 and if so what info do I need to argue the case with the dealer? Or, are they unrelated systems?

My car was working fine except for occasional no dash lights. Unfortunately where my dash lights don't work sometimes I can't see my gas gauge and I ran out of gas today. I manage to make it to the gas station on battery power I presume. Filled the tank up with 11 gallons and the car seemed to work fine for the remainder of my trip(about 5 miles). So I parked at my destination and went inside for 30 minutes and then I went back out and started the car. I attempted to clear the out of gas error code and all of a sudden a whole Christmas trees of lights popped on my dash. I rescanned and these codes were read out

Driving home today, my prius threw the triangle and all the other warning lights. Scanned with my scan gauge got code u0100. I was only a mile from home so attempted to drive it. Car made it 1/4 mile and then died. I had it towed to the house and checked the grounding wires going to the engine and transaxle. The Tranaxle grounding wire was loose so i pushed it together tightly. The car now runs on main battery only, the ICE does not fire up. All warning lights are still present. Nav screen says problem. 12v is good.

Prius (2004-09) :: 2005 - Lights Came On - Not Much Acceleration - P3000 INF 123 Code?

I was driving my 2005 Toyota Prius and all of a sudden some lights came on the dash. The orange check engine light, The big red Triangle with an exclamation mark on it, the orange VSC symbol, and the orange exclamation mark all at once. I also heard the fans in the back seat kicked in which I never heard before. It felt as though the car didn't have much acceleration. I took it to the dealer and they had it a whole week trying to figure out what it was wrong. They said they got the P3000 INF 123 code from the car which they said the HV control ECM for $2000. Needless to say I don't want to pay that! I found used ECM on ebay for $85 and I bought a scangauge 2 . I pulled 2 different codes out with the scan gauge 2 P0A80 and P3021.

Do you think the dealer diagnosis is right? What does the codes I read out mean?

Prius (2004-09) :: P3009 And Info Code 526 With Warning Lights Diagnosed

I bought an '04 prius about a month ago and it has already been at Toyota for over a week. It get's the red triangle, the yellow brake light, and the hybrid red car on the screen and says Problem! I took it to the dealer and he pulled the codes P3009 and info code 526. When you open the hood, the inverter overflow tank is boiling, so it must be overheating. I have read about the pumps going out and when the engine is cool there is turbulence in the overflow tank.

The guy I bought it from did say he had replaced the water pump recently. Toyota kept it for a week trying to replicate and couldn't, and even had the regional rep look at it.

Plan is to check the traction battery for corrosion and use a voltmeter to test the cells and replace if needed. Prius 2004, 158,000.

Prius (2004-09) :: All Caution Lights Came On After HV Battery Replacement - P0AE0 Code

Well, just replaced my HV battery, hooked everything up (I think) and tried to start it. ALL the caution lights came on and stayed on. This is the code that showed up on the reader. P0AE0. The battery was refurbished and I changed over my Computer module and the contact posts. Everything is tight, and I compared my pre-takedown pics to the post-repair work and it all looks correct.
