Lexus RC F 2015+ :: Thumping Noise When Back Out Of Driveway Or Make A U-Turn
Whenever I back out of the driveway or make a u-turn the car seems the front wheels seems to be making this thumping noise and you can really feel it too. I did some research and found that some other cars do this too. Like this [URL] ...-the-wrong-way for example.

Lately my cars been shaking pretty bad and making a thumping noise when i have the brake pedal about halfway down. Doesn't seem good. What it could be? also it makes a pretty loud whining type noise when the cars on think its a pulley or water pump but not too sure.

Every time I open then close either of the driver side doors (haven't tried passenger yet), I hear a thumping noise coming from the trunk.
When I opened the trunk to see what it was, the noise stopped. Only with trunk closed does this happen.
Could it be air pressure causing the trunk lid to move? I didn't think the car was that air tight.
Golf/GTI VII :: Passenger-side Window Clicks Sometimes When Going Back Up
Hard to replicate this, but my passenger-side window "clicks" sometimes when going back up. Not sure if it has to do with humidity or not.
I think this is expensive to repair, so I wanted to get some opinions on this. Right now the car has 27k miles on it (I believe the standard warranty ends at 36, right?). If I only hear the noise a few times a month, should I be overly concerned with this? Is this normal in cars? The speed at which the window goes up is normal and matches the driver side (which does not click).
Every time I get maintenance done (for example, just got the 30k done today), the mechanics always tell me that they can't find it/don't know what I'm talking about.
Passat (B5) :: Clicks But Won't Start?
My Passat will not start it clicks but nothing. And yes the battery has 12.9V. I am thinking maybe a relay or something. I am getting my VCDS cable back tomorrow so hopefully it will shed some light on things..

It is a pretty simple problem, but on a few occasions the "clicking" noise that goes along with the turn signal blinking will not stop after turning off the signal. It does not click at the normal cadence. It erratically clicks on and off and will continue to do so for 3-5 minutes. Neither the turn signals nor the indicator lights blink, but the clicking continues in the dash. Turning the signals back on puts the clicking into normal speed, but once the signal is turned off it goes back to crazy speed. It only happens once every couple months, but it is really annoying.

I have about 5,000 on my 2.5 SEL. Back passenger window seems to make that annoying wind/whistle noise if I get above 20 mph. Even on non windy days it seems loud. I will have them look into it at my 10,000 mile check up.

I have a 2003 2.8 Passat. I replaced the timing belt and I am now hearing a noise that sounds like water sloshing slowly back and forth. I only hear it in the mornings when the car has been sitting over night. At first I thought it might be something like a little air left in the heater core. But after many days driving with the heater on full the problem is still there. The cooling systems works fine and I have hot air at the vents. It usually makes the noise during turns.

01 vw passat 1.8, spark plug hole number 2 is full of liquid possibly anti freeze, head gasket looks wet. Water pump is pumping and thermostat is opening, car overheated. So my trans clicks and jerks every time it downshifts into 2nd but that is the only time it does it. When i down shift using the tip shift it doesn't do anything and it all feels normal. What it could be being that it is just when it downshifts into second.

Passat (B6) :: 2006 - Loud Rattling Noise From One Of The Panels In The Back
I have an 06 2.0T passat sedan. After a year, I started getting this loud rattling noise from one of the panels in the back everytime I hit a bump in the road. At first, I thought it was the rear tray behind the seats. But after sitting in the back with my son while my wife drove, I realized that it's a panel on the ceiling. It's this long thin panel that runs along the width of the rear ceiling, right along the top of the rear windshield. I'm thinking I could just remove the panel and put some sound proofing material or adhesive foam pads or something.

I have a 2008 Passat and when I put down the back windows there is a horrible window noise. It's not a wind noise like "sswwwhhhh sswwwhhh" it's like a "WOMP WOMP WOMP" and it echos so bad I can't drive.
When I open up a sunroof or crack open a front window the noise disappears...it's the weirdest thing. I love driving with ONLY my back windows down and I can't....
Passat (B5) :: Turn Signal Relay Work Sometimes For A Few Clicks But Then Stop Working
The turn signal lights in my brother's 2000 passat are staying lit when he turns the signals on. They work sometimes, for a few clicks, but then stop working.
1. is it the turn signal relay. It sounds like its in the middle of the dash.
2. how do you get to that relay?
Have to remove the HVAC controls? if so, how the heck do you do it?

For the first 10 or 15 minutes after starting the truck I hear a clicking noise under the hood about 1 or 2 clicks per second. It's kind of a mechanical sound, maybe like a pump working. Could this be the Webasto heater working?

I just bought an '02 Passat with 42k miles on it. I didn't notice it when I test drove it but now I'm hearing a knocking/thumping sound from the front end that goes to the speed of the wheels at slow speeds (10-30mph). I can also feel it pulse when I use the brakes at slow speeds. What this might be?

My 08 passat seems to shutter or vibrate at higher and lower speeds. It comes from the wheels(front). At first I thought my wheels aren't balanced, but the VW dealership said everything is fine.???huh.. they roadtested it and nothing...but others that drive with me totally notice it..Major road noise because of it.
They also sold me winter tires and rims and they wore out after 25k same noise?... "Broken beads".... they said i hit a pot hole.. I don't think so.... So what do you think? Rotors? if so how much am i gonna get jacked ..
Passat (B6) :: Reverse Jumping Out Of Gear / Loud Grinding Noise And Pops Back In
I have a problem with my reverse in a 5 speed 105 hp Tdi. It jumps out of place when i try to move the car, makes a loud grinding noise and pops back in, I'm guessing the selectors are worn or maybe the teeth are too. My question is, how hard is it to replace the selectors (if it is the selectors that are worn of course), what is the cost of getting it done in the shop and most important does this sign mean I will have the same problems with the rest of the gear in nearby future?
