Touareg :: Navigation - How To Get All Street Names To Show Up
I have a 2004 touareg with the 2005 disks & I am wondering how to get all the street names to show up? I am assuming it must be some setting that its on because right now I only get the major highways & interstate names. All the misc neighborhood roads etc. show up but the name of the street does not.

My '05 (DVD) NAV only shows major highway routes - it doesn't show any of the local street names when I zoom in (other than showing the current street name on the MFI - it does do that). But I would expect to be able to see the names of every street appearing on the map display when I zoom in. (My friend's '03 Lexus supposedly can do this.)
I went through each Map Content selection. None of them offer me the ability to enable street names for the streets appearing on the MAP display.
Golf/GTI VI :: RNS 315 - How To Show Street Detail In Navigation Mode
My RNS 315 doesn't show much street detail in the Navigation mode. It just identifies the road or highway and occassionally a side street or two. It doesn't show the names for all the streets and roads. Am I overlooking a setting which would make all that detail appear in the Nav display? Maybe I need to check with my dealer to get it configured right?

The "car" symbol on the nav screen seems to lag the actual position by up to 1/2 block.... when I make turns onto another street, for example, the map will sometimes indicate that I am turning into the block itself (instead of the street that I am on), and about 1/4 mile later, it will mysteriously "shift" the car location back onto the correct street.

How do I set my navigation so when I am traveling over my speed limit it will show the current speed limit of the road or highway.
I use to use a after market gps years ago that would automatically show the speed limit of each road or highway I am on if I was passing the limit.

While traveling down a city street, our 04 Passat TDI stalled out, and when restarted it made a whining noise in the front end. We had about a 39 mile drive home from there. The local VW dealership of course said since the service desk was closed, said leave the car. We drove it home. I raised it up on jacks and I noticed the underside was wet from a dark in color liquid (oil)? I traced it all back to some CV Boots on the outer sides. The drivers side was all greased up green in color and rubber chunks were chewed up all over thru the wheel well. The pass side, had a nice crack in the outer side as well, but the liquid (oily) compound appeared to be coming from the inner side of the boot. What does it usually take to fix something like this, price? I don't think that i will attempt this headache.

I have had this error come up in the past (P0441) and have reset it. At one point I replaced the purge flow valve.
Lately, when I'm running at expressway speeds I have no issue. When I get off the expressway and get into stop & go local street traffic, the error will appear again, sometimes. Recently, in the past 3 weeks it has done this 2 times in this stop and go driving scenario..
I've been keeping the gas tank above 1/4 tank, to make sure pressure stays up in that system. Even passed the emissions test where they clamp the gas gap with their machine to make sure it's holding pressure. What could be going on with my 1999 V6 passat?
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Incoming Calls With No Names
Have a 2012 with the nav system and an iPhone 6. When someone calls in, no name is shown on the screen - it just shows my name. Is there a setting I missed??

I don't know when it happened, but the compass does not show on my MFD anymore. I have been through all of the menus in the mfd and can't find anything about turning it on. Oddly enough, I can't find the menu for setting the area for the compass either. I do have a Vag-com but where to look using it.

2006 2.0T with 86k miles. Anywho, a few days ago I attempted to start the car up & it felt as if the engine started up then immediately cut off & the red battery light would show up. I then tried to restart it up and it fired up successfully & the battery light immediately went away. well today, i drive it to my grandmothers house and have dinner, come back & fire it up and the same thing happens. only this time i had to try about three times to start it up successfully. I am aware of the whole steering column lock issue but it didnt say this at all on the mfd display screen. is it safe to drive around?

The computer apparently calculates the fuel economy per trip (or a series of trips if the car is stopped less than 2 hours) but I don't know how to get it to display the fuel economy for the tank full. Normally I'd reset the computer upon refilling but since it calculates per trip it doesn't calculate per tank. Fortunately the fuel gauge seems to be pretty accurate and each mark is approx 1 gal so I can do a quick approximation but I'm used to having the car do the tankful calculation. BTW, I reset on MFA 1, I've never reset on MFA 2 and that doesn't show tankful economy either.

I got this problem that just seems to have surfaced within the past week. The first time I noticed, I started the car and the navigation showed my position about 12 miles away in the next town over. Now its been doing the same thing nearly every time I start up the navigation. I can correct it sometimes by going into settings/position on map and manually moving the cursor to my correct location. I say sometimes it works, because 50% of the time I can move the cursor to the position I'm at and it will then work just fine but other times the nav will have my heading completely wrong (I'm going north, but nav has me going south) and it will not correct. Sometimes it will just slowly drift off my real position and eventually it won't even be on a road anymore.
Tonight, no matter how many times I tried to correct the nav by moving the cursor, it kept my heading well off of where it should be, practically 180 degrees from the way I was actually going. So as soon as I started moving again the maps would be totally off.
Cherokee :: 96 Car Started Fine Drove Down The Street And Died Like It Run Out Of Gas
I have a cherokee that has never given me any problems...at all, ever. The car started fine drove down the street and died like it had run out of gas. Immediately the voltage gauge read about 10 volts. the car would not start or jump start. took the battery out that night and at oreilly the battery was good, just slightly discharged. was towed to a shop. they had it 2 days and felt there was no power getting to the fuel pump. Had it towed today to the nearest jeep dealer they said my crank position sensor wasn't working, but the car wouldn't start. then they said my neutral safety switch was also bad. switched it out and it starts. all in all they want almost $500 to fix the car. i can't believe both those parts went bad at exactly the same time. Is this possible?
