Avalon 2005-12 :: P0051 Code - Hidden Sensor Replacement On Firewall Side

So, my '06 XL just popped up a P0051 code, which is the bank 2, sensor 1 (the upstream A/F sensor that you can easily view upon opening the hood in the front exhaust manifold. Easy enough of a replacement on that one, but what about bank 1, sensor 1 (the upstream A/F ratio sensor on the firewall side of the engine)? I changed my oil today and I can access three of the four oxy/A/F sensors, but the upstream rear looks like a bitch! Out of curiosity, I called a local Toyota dealer and they said it would be 300.00 total to replace the hidden sensor on the firewall side. Does this amount seem realistic? I know that there is a TSB for this sensor that states to replace the exhaust manifold/cat assembly. I def. can't afford no 1700.00 crap right now!!

Saturn - Ion :: 2005 - Stalling When Make Left Hand Turns

I have a 2005 Saturn Ion stalls when I make left hand turns! The engine light comes on and the car goes into limp mode! I stop the car and wait a minute or two and it starts right back up and after driving it for a while the engine light goes out! I took it to a shop and they replaced the throttle body and ignition coil on two different occasions and my car still does the same thing!

Passat (B5) :: How To Access Cabin Air Filter

So, I just dropped a bit more money that I wanted to for an oil change at a drive-through place. The tech offered to replace my dirt cabin air filter. I figured that I could do it myself for much less (or even just tap the dirt out of my current one). How to access the filter, and how easy or difficult the process is?

Passat (B6) :: How To Access To Trunk Lid Motor

Looking for tips for accessing the trunk lid auto-opening mechanism above the rear opening? My lid has recently started creaking a bit when opening/closing, and I'd like to lube it before it causes damage. I pulled the little plastic hinge covers and added some lube there but the noise persists, so I think I need to go deeper into the mechanism. There's a long black plastic cover between the hinges that seems like it would allow access - any tips to getting that off without breaking anything, or am I even on the right track there?

Passat (B5) :: Remove Rear Deck Lid To Access Monsoon Amp?

guides for jettas and b5's don't seem to work.

I've taken the three bolts out of the middle, the ones with the black clips on them, but don't know where to go from here. I'm assuming I'll also have to disconnect the brake light, correct?

It seemed there were screws or even glue maybe holding the deck in place close to the seatbacks - is this true? I didn't want to pull to hard on it in case it broke.

Is there any other way to access the amp without removing the deck lid? My rear right mid speaker isn't working so I'm trying to determine why

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2005 - Jolts Forward When Shifting From Park To Drive And Occasionally From Reverse To Drive

Recently I've noticed that every time when shifting from park to drive and occasionally from reverse to drive in my 05 Golf GLS, I would have to remain off the gas for 3-4 seconds otherwise the car would jerk forward. If I press on the gas ever so slightly, the rpm would go up to around 1000 then jerk. Why this is happening?

Passat (B5) :: Rhythmic Clunking And Clicking Noise Around Right Hand Turns On Left Wheel

The car is a 2.8L w/ a manual tranny. The car was making a rhythmic clunking and clicking noise around right hand turns on the left wheel. So when the weight of the vehicle is applied to the left, that's when the noise occurs. The car has been in the shop for 6 days and the technicians have replaced both axle shafts (it was time to do so anyway) but the noise is still there!!! What could possibly be making that noise other than bad CV's? The rhythm of the noise coincides with the rotation of the wheel/shaft which is where they have focused. Could it possibly be bad strut mounts? This is driving me crazy!!! They tell me its perfectly safe to drive (how do they know this when thy don't know whats wrong?) but I can't imagine this can carry on much longer without something breaking.

S-10 :: How Actuator Mounts On The Firewall

Adding cruise control to 1999 S-10 4.3. I have a new turn signal switch with cruise controls and the actuator with cable but don't know exactly where and how the actuator mounts. Is there a bracket it attaches to, does it mount directly to the firewall and if so how do you determine the correct spot? If someone with a '99 or newer 4.3 with cruise could take a few pics of how the actuator mounts on the firewall.

Volvo - 940 :: Coolant Leak Near Firewall

Back again, with the 1994-ish Volvo 940 with many miles on it.

Symptoms reported by son: coolant leak near firewall (radiator hoses replaced a few weeks ago); maybe some pressure in cooling system; some oily stuff in the coolant in the radiator.

Shop's diagnosis: transmission cooler leaking. (Well at least it's not the head gasket!)

Recommend : Replace radiator, cap (sure), thermostat (all right, but we get rid of this car in six weeks), and ... flush the transmission (alarm!).

Usual advice is drain and refill tranny, rather than flush. However, seems to me that with high risk of coolant in trans fluid, flush is the right action.
