Prius C :: Heater Blower Not Working When Cold Outside
I have a 2012 C 3, with 27K miles. This morning on the way to the store i turned on the heater and the fan turned on and after like 2 mins the blower stop working. All the lights are on, but nothing comes out of the vents under any circumstances. I tried taking of the ECO mode, I tried turning the car on and off. still nothing.
If I bring it to the dealer will they fix it under warranty? Could it be a bad fuse? where is the fuse box? What could it be, its freezing outside and I need heat for the kids in the car.

I have a 1990 Mercedes 190E with kind of low miles for its age. Nice car, runs well. The problem is that the blower for the AC, heater, and defroster won't go on when it's cold or wet outside. Sometimes while I'm driving it will suddenly turn on. Sometimes if I restart the car it will go on; sometimes stays on, sometimes goes off after a bit. When it's dry and/or warm outside - no problem; on whenever I want, stays on, no problems. I have checked and replaced the fuses and I have had it at three different repair shops and they all insisted that it was the center console control that was causing the problem and now I have that whole unit replaced and it has not fixed the problem no matter what I tell the mechanic. We have a problem with my daughter's 2000 Ford Escort air conditioner. It has cold air but the blower doesn't put out any volume. We had a 1998 and it had the same problem but not this bad. Is this a problem for this car and worse for this year? How to increase the air flow?

I found no heat last week in my 01 F150. The AC was cold but no blower. The heat was there but no blower. I replaced the blower motor resistor. Result: i believe a FEW of the speeds worked when turning the fan speed switch...but was intermittent. It would blow L, M, H, then nothing. I jiggled the know on the dash mounted switch and heard it on/off, on/off the motor as I jiggled. I DID notice that when I disco'd the connector off the resistor the HIGH speed worked. Is the switch on the dash perhaps crusty ? Or should I be looknig at the motor itself.

There was some snow/ice buildup under the "grate" that sits above that I imagine is the air intake for the blower. Hoping that it was just Ice buildup that will thaw out.
I ended up having to turn it on because the condensation on the windshield was becoming a safety issue when I drove into work. Motor made quite a high pitched wine. Better that than slid into a car.
Golf IV R32 :: Rear Wiper Sprayer Never Worked
I bought the car with a polo wiper already installed and I'm totally fine with that because it looks a lot better. The thing is, the sprayer has never worked. I can hear it function when I use the lever for it but it doesn't shoot anything out. I took a pic and it looks like I'm missing something. If not, I guess I'll have to take it apart.

Our Prius has been like this since the day we bought it (used.) The A/C will only work sometimes. It won't ever blow hot air or anything, it simply won't turn on. I press the button and...no air! If it works then it works great. It seems to be related to the weather. If it is super hot outside and we've got a bunch of errands to run, often it won't ever turn on. Sometimes it will after a long time, randomly. And then usually when it's cooler outside, the A/C will come on immediately with no problem. This is the same with the heat.

My Gen 3 battery has started to smell badly when it is worked a little. 55,000 miles, it's not exposed to a lot of big hills but does work all day and does about 200 miles a day.
Outside temp is about 48/50 degrees currently. I can hear the cooling fan working and I've noticed that that boot area is getting a little hot around the battery area. No loss in performance or battery life.
Am I being paranoid? Is this a normal thing that happens with them?
Touareg :: V8 Dead - No Lights / No Chime Except The Radio Still Worked
On Monday morning, I turned the key to my V8 and nothing happened. No lights, no chime, nothing except the radio still worked. I called VW roadside assistance and the AAA guy who came couldn't jump start it. So the truck had to be (in park with the steering wheel locked and the key locked in the ignition) dragged onto a flatbed ...
Now one week later, they still can't figure it out...except to tell me that it's not the battery... I should have bought the Lexus.
Touareg :: Sprayer Worked But Window Wiper Dead
So the day after getting my 5000 mile service (an entirely different story for that) I tried to clean off my rear window and found that the sprayer worked but the wiper didn't. Leaving even more of a mess.
Both the sprayer and the button on the wiper head to open just the glass work perfectly. With the stalk on just rear wipe there isn't even any sound coming from the wiper motor like it's trying to move but jammed. I have made sure the little prong is in the groove in the circular plate it goes into. I have checked the fuse box and fuse 52 isn't burned out (although oddly it only has a 5 amp fuse in it, not the 30 amp as the manual describes).
The only thing i'd like to check is the wiring under the dash. I can't remember if I have used the wiper since I installed my hands free kit, but I had both the a pillar trim and the under dash panel off. I assume it travels in the bundle down the a pillar, but then where does it go. I was very careful wiring the hands free but I suppose I could have pulled a wire loose inadvertantly re-installing the panel trim or something.
Passat (B6) :: Blower Fan Only Has High Speed
My girlfriends B6's blower fan as of tonight only has the speed of 4 (max speed). What to do to fix it etc...?

Toyota - Avalon :: Rear Window Sunscreen Only Worked Intermittently For A While
My rear window sunscreen only worked intermittently for a while, then quit totally. Suddenly, on it's own, it went up and locked in place and will not retract under any circumstances, i.e. switch inoperable; no effect when moving gear selector from Park to Reverse (should retract). Most annoying is the greatly decreased visibility especially at night as the rear window is also tinted, and it also buzzes loudly for 20 seconds when the vehicle is put into Reverse from Park.One Avalon user suggested to pull the 10A fuse or pay about $700. to repair the sunshade unit.

Just had the dealer install the VW trialer hitch on my TReg. When I got the truck back I noticed the rear parking distance meter no longer worked. The front works fine, but when I put the car in reverse the display meter ligts up the red segments and a warning is sounded for 2 - 3 seconds. The technician said he didn't know what the problem is but would be researching.

My power steering went out a few months ago. No warning, whining, or hiccups. Just stopped working. Installed a new pump today, and it worked great for about five minutes. Bled it out, put fluid in, etc. Took off on a test drive and a mile up the road I went to turn into a street and power steering was gone.
Fluid is still full, belt is still there, no visible leaks. 2004 3.5L V6.
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: No Headlights - Dash And All Other Tail Lights Worked
2013 SE 2.4 ... I am away from my car. Should be home Tues afternoon. When I left 7 days ago at 6am, I had no headlights. The light on the dash was on and all the other tail lights worked. Before I had to leave I quickly looked for the headlight fuse(s). Where to find it(them)? I may have to drive home after dark and will need headlights.

I have had my 2004 F150 for 2 years now and the dash display has never worked properly. For a winter project I would like to fix it. So far I have deducted that it is not the bulb behind the panel because if I slide the dimmer switch to turn the interior light on the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree.....like it should be....but, I have to slide the dial down to turn off the interior dome light and the dash is veeerry dim. It is annoying as all get up. Is there a way to replace the dimmer switch with a strickly on/off for the dash lights? I don't see why the dash dimming is even an option.

My gf has a 2007 F-150 XLT Scab 5.4 2x4 and ever since she got the truck (bought used) the odometer back light has never worked. I know it was a common problem with the previous generation trucks to have a bad solder joint to cause this. I'm assuming that with these newer trucks the back light is LED, so chances are the bulbs are fine.
