Touareg :: Rear View Camera To Stay On Longer During High Speed Reverse
Is there any way i can use vag-com to make the rear view camera stay on longer and during high speed reverse, and make it come on by pushing a button?

On Monday morning, I turned the key to my V8 and nothing happened. No lights, no chime, nothing except the radio still worked. I called VW roadside assistance and the AAA guy who came couldn't jump start it. So the truck had to be (in park with the steering wheel locked and the key locked in the ignition) dragged onto a flatbed ...
Now one week later, they still can't figure it out...except to tell me that it's not the battery... I should have bought the Lexus.
Touareg :: Sprayer Worked But Window Wiper Dead
So the day after getting my 5000 mile service (an entirely different story for that) I tried to clean off my rear window and found that the sprayer worked but the wiper didn't. Leaving even more of a mess.
Both the sprayer and the button on the wiper head to open just the glass work perfectly. With the stalk on just rear wipe there isn't even any sound coming from the wiper motor like it's trying to move but jammed. I have made sure the little prong is in the groove in the circular plate it goes into. I have checked the fuse box and fuse 52 isn't burned out (although oddly it only has a 5 amp fuse in it, not the 30 amp as the manual describes).
The only thing i'd like to check is the wiring under the dash. I can't remember if I have used the wiper since I installed my hands free kit, but I had both the a pillar trim and the under dash panel off. I assume it travels in the bundle down the a pillar, but then where does it go. I was very careful wiring the hands free but I suppose I could have pulled a wire loose inadvertantly re-installing the panel trim or something.
Golf IV R32 :: Rear Wiper Sprayer Never Worked
I bought the car with a polo wiper already installed and I'm totally fine with that because it looks a lot better. The thing is, the sprayer has never worked. I can hear it function when I use the lever for it but it doesn't shoot anything out. I took a pic and it looks like I'm missing something. If not, I guess I'll have to take it apart.

My rear window sunscreen only worked intermittently for a while, then quit totally. Suddenly, on it's own, it went up and locked in place and will not retract under any circumstances, i.e. switch inoperable; no effect when moving gear selector from Park to Reverse (should retract). Most annoying is the greatly decreased visibility especially at night as the rear window is also tinted, and it also buzzes loudly for 20 seconds when the vehicle is put into Reverse from Park.One Avalon user suggested to pull the 10A fuse or pay about $700. to repair the sunshade unit.

I have had my egg for just under two weeks and have had my first issue. Was driving home tonight and noticed and error message on the dash. Mentioned something about shutting down some electronics... it then said it was going to shut of the AC. Kind of strange so I looked down at my Volt meter and it was only registering 10.5 volts. As soon as i got home i got on vwvortex and searched. Found a lot of dead batteries and slow drains but not much info on low voltage out of the alt. I took the truck into the dealer and they said it was the cable issue between the alt and the battery.

Has there been any definite solution to the problem of the voltmeter going to zero immediately after the Touareg starting up and loosing the blinkers, including the hazards. When the vehicle is running in this mode all the other electronics are working fine, I tried them all. The vehicle runs normally, just the volt meter at zero and no blinkers. Has happened three times in two and a half years. I would take it to the dealer but it wouldn't do it there and they would just tell me it is working fine. What can I do, or even tell them to fix it.

I just installed the lights and found that only the outside left light worked with the brake depressed, the outside left inside left and inside right worked with the light switch in the on position. Also both blinkers work.
I switched my byte 18 to 04 already and am not (as of now) using my euro light switch (I didn't think this would be it but I'm at a complete loss) ...

I notice that my Electronic Parking brake doesnt seem to work anymore and I no longer have the little green light that illuminates where the parking brake switch is. Also, I now have a message on the dash that say check parking brake system have vehicle checked by dealer.

Had my car parked outside of work for about 12 hours yesterday, and in the NYC cold front, the parking break must have stuck on slightly. When I started to move, despite the fact I'd released the parking break, I received a warning in the MFI that said PARKING BREAK FAILURE TO RELEASE. I pulled the handle again and heard it pop just a little more off. Everything worked great after that. If I hadn't received the alert I probably would have driven off with it on. I'd probably have noticed the hesitation and checked the break again, but the alert was useful. Some of the warnings in the MFI can appear to be a pain at times, but it's amazing how thorough a job VW has done monitoring the cars systems and giving real time information if something doesn't work. You just have to make sure you don't get info overload from it all!!

Our 2005 V8 no longer makes any sounds relating to the blinkers in use, seat belts unbuckled, headlights are on, hazard lights, etc. The only sound it's kept are the ones the parking sensors make.

I recently had to have e my alarm replaced on the car and after i left the dealer i parked and locked the car and came to notice that the chirp is no longer a chirp but a high pitched very loud beep that lasts longer than the previous chirp. The odd thing is that when i activate the alarm it sounds exactly as it should. I contact the dealer and asked if they gave me the right alarm and assured me that it is right and properly installed. When I went to shut off the ignition today, the MFI showed "Parking Light On". Don't know why it happened but it shut off by itself. But then it switched over and said "Side Light On" and the annoying buzzer stayed on. This is the second time that message came on. I started the engine again and it shut off. Actually, the first time the message "Side Light On" came on was after I had opened the rear hatch and noticed the inside lights stayed on.

My parking assist does not work any more. red lights and and one tone front and rear when the car starts, after that I just get red lights going forward and red lights going in reverse. Any way to reset the whole system? I pulled the fuse but that didn't work.
