Phaeton :: 2008 - Keep Loosing Memory For Keys / No Sound On Radio
I have a 2008 Phaeton 3.0TDI, a couple of weeks ago i had a problem with the car it kept loosing the memory for the keys then then boot wouldn't open then the starter battery went down etc etc... I found this to be the fuse for the starter battery, Replaced that and the car was good as gold, However since then i now have no sound on the radio when pressing sound it comes up with DSP system not available the sat nav comes up with the same not available as does the phone and the parking sensors work but no sound.,etc,
I took the car into my not very supportive VW dealer who spent 2 hours just to tell me they didn't know what was wrong and could cost a lot of money for them to find out what was.... they had no intention of doing this even if i had said yes go ahead. I have not put it into a good electrician and car audio specialist who spend half the day just to say they do not know 100% what is wrong with it... they have suggested i replace the amp.... is this a problem others have faced before I go putting more time and money into this blind...
Phaeton :: 2004 - Radio Will Come On Randomly And Cannot Be Controlled
I have a 2004 V8 phaeton that has a radio and electronics that now have a mind of their own. The radio will come on randomly and can not be controlled. The main computer screen will sometimes not come on. On the screen in the instrument cluster it jumps between degrees F and C. I have replaced both batteries, done a static discharge and taken it to the dealer to have all of the codes cleared... Later that day it all came back... So I went to the dealer and they cleared the codes again. It is back again.

My AM band is not sorting out the local stations like the FM band. 1070 is a rather well known Indy station , but it doesn't appear on the available station list. In fact, only one of the stations on this list had signal and it was rather weak. When switched from list to tune, local stations could be found. Is this normal?

Screen go black, radio shut off, then reset itself while driving over and over again. Have the car parked and radio stays on after you pull the key and set the alarm. And the final piece, the alarm goes off three times no lights flashing then stops sitting in a garage, not outside. Is this a short ? I have two brand new batteries, new starter new altenator.

We just purchased a 2004 Phaeton V8 last weekend. We are trying to decide if this sound that we are hearing is because something is wrong, or whether that is just the way they sound. It sounds almost like a purr, like engine noise. However, it is related to how fast you are traveling, not to whether the accelerator is being pressed. The absolute best way to describe it - its like there is a playing card in the wheel spokes (but muted)!!! Its not bothersome or loud, but just odd.

I have no sound at all from radio,CD or Nav... nothing, nadda, zip. I checked with vagcom and all speakers show open circuit. It shows a DTC 00464. All of this followed an Output test performed on Controller 47 (Sound System) which worked fine.

Turn on car and radio does not come on nor CD. The fan speed control does not work. Basically the main turning knob appears to be in-opt? Everything else appears ok. Says CD not available? There are the following symbols: -- -- on the screen where the radio station would display.

The head unit is the basic touch screen that came with the GTI. The screen waits about 30 seconds to turn on after starting the car, and then there is no sound from any source. Mute is not enabled. Symptoms started after a short trip to the grocery store.

so I am driving today and I go to turn the sound up using the steering wheel controls and it starts going up then NO sound at all.
i switch from CD to CD and radio and still nothing no hissing no poping just seemed like the internal amp just cut out.. i was able to see the meter on the radio go up and down just no sound.. i turned the radio on and off and still nothing..
i get home and turn the car off and back on and it started working again..
i'm sure there is a problem but how major and if the dealer scans the car will they be able to tell it happened..
i prefer not to go up there to spend all day waiting to be told they couldnt duplicate the problem so theres nothing they can do..
Prius (2001-03) :: No Sound From Radio
I just bought my first Prius, a 2003 with 218,000 miles. The radio doesn't seem to be working. On FM or AM, it turns on and will scan through channels, but it's not picking up any stations -- it just scans forever. I haven't had a chance to check if the CD or cassette players are working since I don't actually have anything to put in them.

My radio hasn't worked for over a year. I've gotten used to driving with my headphones on, but now I want to get to the bottom of the problem.
I have an 06 Accent. The radio powers on and I am able to flip stations and put a cd in and out. I just get no sound.
I tried checking the audio fuses. I can't check one of the fuses because its connected to the yellow memory fuse. I can't get the fuse out without breaking the plastic case. Is there a way to remove the fuse without breaking the case?
Another thing I just noticed is when I turn on the radio I hear a pop coming from the left rear speaker. I don't know what that means. How to get sound back.

Kia Optima LX: I have a 2006.5 kia optima. I am replacing my stock radio. I have hooked up plenty of radios with out trouble in all o my old cars.
I have hooked up this radio to where I am only getting power to turn the radio on with out sound. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I have hooked up all the wiring according to the radio insert.
I have heard something with the stock amp which I have located in the trunk on the rich side wheel well area. I can not see what I need to change or if I need to.

I started the egg tonight and the radio came on but there wasn't any audio. I turned up the volume and nothing happened. I tried playing a cd from the changer and no audio. I pulled up "home" on the navi and Ivana talked to me and told me how to get home. So there is audio coming from the navi mode but not from the radio or the cd modes.

My 2004 GX470.
No sound from radio. Nav and sound for Nav work fine. Radio comes on with no sound. Checked all fuses with no problems. Replaced amplifier with a new amp. Still no sound.
I checked the new amp before installing and it was in good working order. Is there any special procedure that needs to be done to get the stereo to recognize the new amp? Still no sound.

When I turn the car on, the sound to the radio will not work. Occasionally the screen will light up but will have no information on it. Sometimes it will turn on just fine and have all the info. Regardless the sound never comes on. All other functions are working fine like the controls for fans and climate control.

I own a 2004 lexus gx 470 and I am having some audio issues. The stereo system is the standard Mark Levinson speaker system. When i turn on my car, I can cycle through the different radio stations and cds, but there is no receiving audio coming from the speakers. I think it may be an amplifier problem, but i also don't know where to locate the amp or how to get my radio to work again. Also, I have tried holding the audio button while cycling my taillights on and off 3 times, but nothing shows up on the screen. My radio has not been working for about a year now.
