Phaeton :: How To Tint The Windows
I took my Phaeton to my car detailer and asked him to tint the windows. He told me that it could not be done unless he removes the door panels and door frame to better acces the edges of the side windows. Do any of you had their windows tinted and how was it done?

There is a noticeable amount of wind noise on the driver's side (obviously with the top and all windows up). Haven't ridden in the passenger seat so not sure if it's there too.
The top closes perfectly, so I'm assuming it's the driver's side mirror.
Lexus SC430 :: Side Windows Don't Lowered While Opening The Doors
I have a 2002 SC430 And its the second one I've owned. And for the life of me. I can't remember if the side windows lowered a little when you open the doors. The past five or so cars I've owned did. But this one doesn't.
To clarify. The windows (Both driver and passenger) Would drop about 1/8" when you open the doors and raise up once the doors are close. is it normal that the Sc doesn't do this?
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Faint Yellow Tint Spots On Paint
The strangest thing has happened to my 450h tailgate, there are two patches of yellow that are popping up. These were not there when I bought it back in June (it is not under warranty/purchased from a small local dealer). Last week I started to notice a faint yellow tint in those spots, but it's like it's getting worse over time.

The car is 3 months old, and I looked over the other day to see a bluish tint on the edge closest to the door of the front passenger seat. When I bought the car the finance lady warned me that blue jeans could leach into the seats but I thought she was just trying to scare me into buying a coating for the seats, which I didn't buy. I haven't tried to clean it yet.

Have problems getting window tinted? Just got my RC 350 and i took it to one of the most referred places in town for tints. (small town)
Anyways, they are having trouble with the drivers side window bc that little autoroll down feature when you open the door keeps on messing up the bottom edge of the tint. I've already taken it back to the shop for them to fix it and now I have to take it back on Monday to get it fixed again.
Any way to disable this auto roll down feature on the rc 350?
GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Windshield Banner Tint?
I just had my windshield replaced due to a large rock cracking my old windshield a few weeks back. The new windshield does not have a fade up on the top, its just the same top to bottom. I was looking into just having the first 6 inches or so have tint put on. I think its called a banner tint when people do this. Does this look tacky? or is it okay. I have 35% tint all around.

I recently bought some lamin-x tint for my headlights and fogs. I have only seen a few ppl on here tint their lights, but it was only the the tailights i have seen done on here. So I have an optic blue for the headlights and med gunsmoke for the fogs. Just came in yesterday so I will try to get them on within a week. I will post some pics to show how it looks.

Right now I'm planning to get 35% tint on my front side windows (legal limit in Nevada) and 15% on the rear side and back windows, although I may end up going lighter on the sides and back.
In any case I'm wondering whether or not I should have the lower back (strip) window tinted since, as mentioned on another thread, it has already been tinted by the factory. Also, it is the perfect height for my Corgi puppies to view the world and I don't want to obstruct their view. I'm also concerned about what some people have said about being able to see at night.

Passat (B5) :: Rear View Mirror - Tint Fading Out In Certain Parts
I have an issue with my rear view. It seems like the tint is fading out in certain parts of it, its like the nighttime sensor is broken or something . I took it to the dealership to get a quote and they it would cost about $500 for a new rear view mirror. I was curios if there is a cheaper way to fix or if i could fix it myself.

So yesterday i got my windshield tinted at a shop and now im having issues. My ac stays on when the key is out of the ignition i can use all settings from low to high. My windshield wipers only work in neutral and park. Im calling them when they open but i think the water they spray on the tint got down in the dash and fried something.

My truck has factory tint on all 4 corners as well as the rear window. I do quite a bit of night driving and I'd like to remove the tint on the drivers window as well as the passenger window. Is this even possible? I fear the glass was 'smoked' when manufactured and going back to completely clear glass will require a totally new window.

This is a first, for any vehicle I've owned. When my wife went out to the car Sunday AM she found all of the windows on our 2010 RX350 down and the moon roof open. The doors were locked from the night before, and I know for certain all of the windows/moon roof were closed. The only thing I can think of is we are in a flight path for the GSP airport. Our garage door used to go up, from time to time, when planes would fly over.
One other thing I forgot to mention. I replaced the batteries on both of our key fobs Saturday. I hit the lock button to make sure the fob worked, but that was all I did. You can't do anything with the windows or moon roof with the key fob. But what else could trigger them to go down? We've had the car about 6 months.
