Prius (2010-12) :: 15% Tint On Lower Rear Window?
Right now I'm planning to get 35% tint on my front side windows (legal limit in Nevada) and 15% on the rear side and back windows, although I may end up going lighter on the sides and back.
In any case I'm wondering whether or not I should have the lower back (strip) window tinted since, as mentioned on another thread, it has already been tinted by the factory. Also, it is the perfect height for my Corgi puppies to view the world and I don't want to obstruct their view. I'm also concerned about what some people have said about being able to see at night.
Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: 2010 Lariat - Rear Defogger Switch Doesn't Light Up
My wife's 2010 Lariat, has a problem with the heater switch. Its stuck in one speed.
Also the rear defogger switch doesn't light up. We don't know if the switch to it is just bad, OR if the whole system is bad.
Was also wondering if the blend door would be bad??
Prius (2004-09) :: Upper Rear Window Defogger / Defroster Isn't Working
A couple of days ago I noticed that one of the elements in the upper rear window defogger/defroster isn't working. It's the fifth one from the bottom I believe. All the other elements on the top and bottom seem to be working correctly. Is there a way to correct this without taking it to the dealer?

My rear window defogger has stopped working. The owners manual, page 316, has the 3 fuse box locations and it says there is a 40 amp fuse in location #2 in fuse box under dash (says there is a 30 amp in location #1 for power windows). When I popped the cover off the fuse box and looked - there are NO fuses greater that 25 amps anywhere. Windows work fine. in addition - none of the actual fuse numbers line up with what the manual says or with what the inside of the fuse box cover says.

I bought my 2012 RX 350 April 2012. I noticed that the rear mirror had like melting or warp look. Then the side door panel and in back -wing of car (spooler?) had some ripples lines. I went to dealer first they said they would order parts for mirror and side panel (this was fix awhile back sept). but the have to get factory inspector to come out and inspect car for the spooler part.
I dropped my car off because the manager says he needs to look car himself before determining anything. He told me he thinks I parked my car near high efficiency windows and had reflected and caused the melting or warp or ripple on my car.

I just got the vehicle on the July 17th, and have some questions about the audio system. When it's sunny outside, there's so much glare on LCD of the nav system that it makes it almost impossible to use it because it washes out the colors so much.
It says it in the user guide that you get 6 presets per source (usb/aux excluded). However, it only allows six global presets. I know that because whenever I change the source the presets from the previous source stay on the screen. And no, the visors do not fix the glare problem.
Gen 2 Prius :: Glare On Windshield When Driving At Night?
Lately, when driving at night I have noticed a glare from my dash on my windshield right in my line of sight. Is there anyway to alter that glare? Maybe putting some sort of visor extender over it to reduce the glare? I drive a 08 Prius Touring

I have an issue with my rear view. It seems like the tint is fading out in certain parts of it, its like the nighttime sensor is broken or something . We've just had our first few autumn days where a heavy dew settles on the car when the temperature drops in the evenings. When I left the restaurant last night, the moisture was so thick on the outside of the glass I couldn't see out the rear window. I turned on the rear defogger and it was soooo slow. It took five minutes before you could start to see the wire lines in the glass appear and 20 minutes to clear. None of my other Lexus' have been this slow to clear the rear window.

I am not sure, since now, that my RWD has ever worked, the fuse is fine, the light comes on, the lines on the window are not broken. No defogging. Connections seem good everywhere.

The strangest thing has happened to my 450h tailgate, there are two patches of yellow that are popping up. These were not there when I bought it back in June (it is not under warranty/purchased from a small local dealer). I'm a new Prius owner (only 500 miles) and have experienced a lot of issues so far. Today I got in my car and both front and rear windows were fogged up. I turned on both defoggers and the front window would not clear. I set the vent speed to high and could hear a noise like the air was blowoing, but it did NOT clear the front window - I had to clear it with a cloth so I could see.
