Lexus ES 2013+ :: ES350 - Stain / Pitting On Temperature Display And Dash
My 2013 ES 350 has stains and pitting on the temperature display and the dash surrounding it. I clean my car myself and use standard cleaning products, so I'm baffled as to what caused this. It could be ArmorAll, air-freshener, leather/vinyl cleaner, or any number of products I've used to clean my car. I took it to the dealer and they declined, noting that that other customers have not reported the same problem. The clincher is that they want $1900 just for the part. Apparently you can't just replace the plastic display cover, but it's part of a larger piece of the dash that has to all be replaced.

How to remove the door speaker grills on a 3rd Gen IS or a 4th Gen GS350 (without removing the door panels)? They appear to have the same 7" black plastic grill between IS and GS model.

Passenger seat rattles when not occupied, the upper section seems to shake with every bump and produces a dull rattle.

I drive a GS450h. Now I am experiencing some rattles that irritates. It is a "tock" sound that comes from around the driver seat. It is impossible for me to isolate, but it sounds like its from either of these locations:
- Driversdoor
- Roof
- A pillar driver side
- Dashboard
It doesn't matter where if the road is bumpy or not, actually it seems to be more present on smooth roads. I removed the covers of the door and looked for anything that moved in there, but it all seemed ok. How can I check for the rest? Is there a DIY for removing the roof and A-style panels/cover?

I purchased my car second hand. I don't know if the previous owner was a big, sweaty dude who didn't take showers but....after driving in my car for certain periods, I get a funky body odor from the seat.
I sprayed vinegar/water onto the seat, let it stay and wiped up. I wonder if there's bacteria forming on the seat heat/cooling source?

The strangest thing has happened to my 450h tailgate, there are two patches of yellow that are popping up. These were not there when I bought it back in June (it is not under warranty/purchased from a small local dealer). First trip with the new '14ES and the wife noticed the passenger seat heater seemed to stop working after a while. Checked the on-line owners manual and no mention of a timer there (just the steering wheel timer). Searching the ES forum did not bring up the answer either but some other models apparently have seat timers.

I can set my seat to recognize what key is unlocking the door to set the drivers seat to registered position (1, 2 or 3). Now when I customize settings in the Nav area so that the driver's seat slides back partially or fully when shutting down car, it no longer recognizes the keys. When I cancel the slide back option in the Nav, it quickly recognizes the keys again. I like both options and do wish that there is a way to remedy this. Is this normal?

I have a 2016 GS 350 with the Luxury package so there are quite a few adjustments for the seats which is nice. However, every now and then, the memory positions I have programmed go away and I have to be in Park and select the memory positions again. I turned off the easy exit option because every now and then the seat would just go down to the floor on its own. No one else has been driving the car.
I go into the dealer for the 5,000 mile check up in a couple of months and will have them look at it but thought I would check with this group as well.
We have an Acura MDS as well and on that forum, there was a technician that would post service bulletins which was very handy when taking the car in while under warranty. Did a quick search for service bulletins but did not see anything. Is there a thread for the service bulletin list?

I have a 2013 Lexus ES 350 with navigation. Is it possible to stop the drivers seat from moving back when I turn the car on? It also moves forward to the position I had it when I start the car.

My drivers seat feels like it moves slightly after applying the brakes and then back on the gas like when you almost come to a full stop. The car is CPO with 22k and new to me so I can't say how long it's been happening. I feel like I remember a similar problem and TSB with the 2 gen IS but I'm not sure. I'm just trying to get some info before taking it to the dealer.
