Lexus IS 2014+ :: LS350 - Nav Screen Freezing And Restarting
So my car is currently getting serviced and getting a new nav screen/system installed.
2014 IS350 F, Having this issue of their screen freezing then restarting?
Lexus GX 2010+ :: 2015 GX460 Navigation Screen Freezing 5 Times With 830 Miles On It
I've had my 2015 GX 460 since April 18th. Since I've had it the navigation screen has frozen on me 5 times with 830 miles on it.
Every time it froze on me all the center console buttons will not work. The Audio, Nav, Climate & Home button's DO NOT WORK! Also the buttons on the steering wheels won't work as well. The only time I can get the navigation to unfreeze is by shutting off the car.
The 5th time it froze I held down the "Power/Vol" button down and the navigation screen turn black and restarted itself while the vehicle was in motion.

At unpredictable times, all of the dashboard gauges, the factory installed car radio and a ham radio which is directly wired to the battery terminals, loses power for about 100 milliseconds, plus or minus, and may occur from 1 to 10 times in varying succession. Bumpy roads or bad weather do not seem to influence the electrical drop-outs. The ignition, and headlights if night time, are steady and unaffected. The battery terminals are tight. This has been occurring over several years.
I have had problems with chipmonks chewing on the wire harness on top of the gas tank, causing the check engine light to light. The harness was replaced and the check engine light has been off during the latest drop-outs. The above senario does not seem to be logically possible. What could cause this problem?

Every so often my entire Navigation system becomes unusable. The screen freezes, and audio shuts off. The screen can be turned off, but the only way to get it back working again is to turn car off for about 2 minutes and then it goes back to normal.
I can't tell if it's from overheating or not?
The car is a 2010 w/ under 3,000 miles on it. I am debating waiting until my first service and have them just look at it then. (I have full extended warranty - I am on the road a lot so I always buy them).
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Navigation Screen Never Goes To Home Screen Without Pressing Home Button
According to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

I bought a 2015 Prius V Four on June 12, 2015 after my 2014 Prius V Five was Totaled in an accident after being dropped of for Service at another dealership (true story and for a different post). I do love the car but three days later, the Touch Screen intermittently started freezing. This is a problem known to Toyota. I don't know why there is not a recall...the Service Department will not act on it because they cannot duplicate the error. I'll be sure to video this next time it happens. I should have researched better..

My Santa Fe is only 2 months old, and the Navigation System/CD/Radio froze up on me already. I just had a blue screen with Hyundai written on it. I couldn't turn it on or off, or push any buttons. Nothing worked. I called the Nav System hotline number on the front of the manual, and the guy told me to try reset. I told him I already did. He said he talked to another guy who had this problem, and he just kept pushing the reset, and finally it worked. Well I must have tried a dozen times, and finally it worked. The time it worked I pushed the button while it was off, then again just as it was starting up (always just came back to blue screen before) but this time it worked.
P.S. A pen did not work, I had to use a large paper clip, and you can actually hear a "ting" and the screen goes blank, then tries to start back up (and hopefully does).
Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Black Smoke All Of A Sudden
Started with lots of black smoke all of a sudden. Not under any significant load at that time. Reached destination (barely) and started the search. Have taken off blue connectors on CAC passenger side. Top is marginal but see no holes. Pulled the MAP hose and see nothing unusual. Have not checked the driver side CAC or the BPV sensor. Have a ScanII device that shows no codes. Got my other scanner and it too shows no codes.
Had it towed home over 100 miles 'cause now it just barely runs. Idles fine but have a engine noise change (deep and hollow) every once and a while at idle. EGR leak? Doesn't blow black smoke anymore. More of a white/blue. Exhaust smells odd. Absolutely no turbo activity. When shutting hear no whine down of the turbo. No boost evident on the dash or on the scan II. I am at a loss at this point. Will check fittings again.

I used the "invisible glass" product with a paper towel (since I was cleaning all my windows first) on the NAV/LCD screen and now it seems to be permanently scratched in many places. I noticed it on the first few wipes back and forth (maybe 3 wipes) and immediately stopped. Tried to clean it gently with clean water immediately and nothing changed.
The sad thing is the scratches extend beyond the screen so not only is it slightly noticeable when the screen is on, its fully noticeable on the sides where there is all that wasted screen real estate.
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Radio Swap Due To Nav Screen Flashing
I had my radio swapped by the dealer last night due to an issue with the navigation screen restarting while driving an randomly blinking / flashing blue or white. However today the blinking / flashing came back just minutes after picking the car up from the dealer and again this morning while driving to work.
Just out of curiosity is the radio different in a Mark Levinson car or is it only the speakers, sub etc. that distinguishes the sound?
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Unused Space To Left On Nav Screen
I'm considering ordering an IS350 F-Sport RWD in the next few months and I compare everything to my wife's 2013 BMW 335i Xdrive. I guess this is a legitimate comparison since both are in the same category. However whenever I look at the interior pictures one thing pops up : the size of the NAV screen. Why on earth did they leave around 1 inch of unused space to the left and right of the screen? It annoys me because everything in the interior looks more upscale than the 335, but this thing looks so cheap.
