Lexus GS 2013+ :: How To Make Navigator Screen To Display Items Form Phone
I have a 2013 GS 350 and I think the display is kind of wasted space most of the time. The default view is to show the map which is in terrible resolution and the navigation is too cumbersome to be useful. When I need navigation I use google maps which obeys voice commands, is always up to date and has traffic flow information.
Is there a way to hack the nav screen to be more useful? Perhaps display items from the phone? Maybe some other use while driving?
Lexus SC430 :: 2005 Bluetooth Pairing - Phone Icon Not Present On ML Nav Info Display Screen
Just took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.

Since yesterday I have no longer been able to stream Pandora. When I try to load Pandora it just buffers endlessly, finally saying Pandora was unable to load. So tried to just stream it off my phone through BT, Pandora failed to load on my phone. Thought maybe the app on my phone broke, but it loads on my phone just fine when not synced to my car.

So my girlfriend got a 2015 IS250 and for some reason, her phone call history is not transferring correctly. When I connect my iPhone 6 (Verizon), the phone call history transfers correctly. When she connects her iPhone 6 (AT&T), all the numbers and names transfer distorted. Both of our phone call histories work perfectly on my 2014 IS250.

According to the navigation manual (attached), the navigation screen should go to the home screen within 5 seconds. But my IS never goes to the home screen without pressing the home button, but it always shows the full screen map. I tried many different things including "Auto Screen Change" setting but nothing seems to work.

Lexus ES 2013+ :: 2014 ES350 - Bluetooth Phone With Navigation At Same Time?
I just got a 2014 ES350 and love it, however, I have one issue I can't seem to figure out and I have to assume their is an easy fix. When I use my phone (bluetooth via car) and I'm using the navigation system, the voice still give me directions while I'm on the phone. 1) it's distracting for me to have a conversation the same time the navigation is talking 2) the person on the phone hears it as well. Is their a way to set up so that the voice automatically mutes while I'm on the phone?

So I picked up the IS 350 Fsport and was getting to know it while I peruse certain sections of the manuals. I have not read them front to back, lol.
I thought it was a bug but come to find out that certain navigation and phone features are not available when the vehicle is moving. The options are greyed out and unselectable. For example entering an address and web search are prohibited options while the car is moving. When the car stops, they become avalable.
Same thing for POI search, only edestination and category are available while moving. While navigating if you choose to see the turn by turn for the route under options, only the first three of the next turns will display when moving.
The phone call history is available and favorite contacs are available but contacts are unavailable. I guess they think the voice recognition is good enough substitute. Geeze, they don' know some of my contacts names and their pronunciation. Hard enought for a human to get some of those correct let alone a nav system.
In the navigation manual under safety on p5 it says "For your safety, some functions may become inoperable when driving. Unavailable screen buttons are dimmed. Only when the vehicle is not moving, can the destination and route selection be done. (of course they don't list all the options unavailable while driving, at lease not in safety)

I can't find the dual anchors for the infant seat base; I know I feel dumb and I'm sure the dealer can show me how to access Blue Tooth connection; Phone screen flickers on and off see attached images. I lose the ability to dial number or access contacts
Phone is connected the whole time. I've deleted and added the phone several times. I am using Samsung Infuse ATT

I used the "invisible glass" product with a paper towel (since I was cleaning all my windows first) on the NAV/LCD screen and now it seems to be permanently scratched in many places. I noticed it on the first few wipes back and forth (maybe 3 wipes) and immediately stopped. Tried to clean it gently with clean water immediately and nothing changed.
The sad thing is the scratches extend beyond the screen so not only is it slightly noticeable when the screen is on, its fully noticeable on the sides where there is all that wasted screen real estate.

Lexus IS 2014+ :: Radio Swap Due To Nav Screen Flashing
I had my radio swapped by the dealer last night due to an issue with the navigation screen restarting while driving an randomly blinking / flashing blue or white. However today the blinking / flashing came back just minutes after picking the car up from the dealer and again this morning while driving to work.
Just out of curiosity is the radio different in a Mark Levinson car or is it only the speakers, sub etc. that distinguishes the sound?
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Unused Space To Left On Nav Screen
I'm considering ordering an IS350 F-Sport RWD in the next few months and I compare everything to my wife's 2013 BMW 335i Xdrive. I guess this is a legitimate comparison since both are in the same category. However whenever I look at the interior pictures one thing pops up : the size of the NAV screen. Why on earth did they leave around 1 inch of unused space to the left and right of the screen? It annoys me because everything in the interior looks more upscale than the 335, but this thing looks so cheap.

The car is about a week old. Today, the NAV system (ML version), re-started a few times and then shut completely off. Re-starting the car does not work. Got a totally "off" screen and no sound. 2014 350?
Is there some way to reset it or turn it back on? I can't imagine that a brand new Lexus would have this sort of issue.
