Lexus LS 2007+ :: Puddle Lights Not Turning On When Key Fob Is In Proximity
Shouldn't the puddle lights turn on when approaching the vehicle with the key fob? They will only come on if i unlock the vehicle with the fob. My lights come on with my 2008 ES350.

I have an 08 LS460 and set my lights to auto.
I have noticed recently, two times I have turned the car off and the lights stay on.
One time was in the garage and I never lock the doors while parking it in my garage.
They were on for 15 mins after I turned off the car.

The footwell lights come on when i open the door to get into the car and then go off after a short period of time. However, they will stay on all the time after the car is started. Is that normal? Can they be turned off when the engine is running? The manual is no support.

There is apparently a rubber grommet in the driver's floorboard which can be used to snake the wire into the cabin. Where exactly is this rubber grommet on a 06 model? So i drove my car through a huge puddle and it stalled out on me! i pushed the car out to higher ground and let it sit. i started the car and it sounded horrible. checked the oil and no water is present on the dip stick. checked the coils and they are also dry. I deceided to check the spark plugs and once again dry. i took out the ecu to get it checked and once again they said it was dry.
I put it to the computer and I get random misfiring on cylinder 2 and 3. At time it fluctuates to 2 and 4.. I am at a stand still, what can this possibly be? White smoke does come out from exhaust but stops after a couple of mins. no smell to the smoke whatsoever so am guessing its just water stuck in the tailpipe.
The air filter was soaked and there was a lil water in the air intake i dried the filter and removed any moisture from the intake and still misfiring...
BTW its an 2007 ES350 ultra luxury edition

I've looked in the owner's manual, but only find that they exist, no instructions on turning them on. I know I can unlock the doors with the key fob at night and the lights will come on, including the puddle lights on the bottoms of the rear view mirrors. If I touch the door handles instead of using the key fob (my preferred method of unlocking the vehicle), the doors unlock, but the puddle lights do not come on.
I would also like to be able to turn them on when I am getting ready to exit the car, especially so the wife does not step in a puddle.
Dodge - Ram :: 2007 - Gas Cap And Check Engine Lights Will Not Stay Off
I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 V8 that the gas cap and check engine lights will not stay off. The gas cap was replaced with a factory gas cap. Smoke and vacuum checks showed no leaks. The lights can be reset but after a couple of days first the gas cap then the check engine lights come back on. Disconnecting the battery did not work either.

I have 2007 Sonata GLS and have noticed on several (at least 6) occasions that the parking lights (front turn signal lamps and tail lights) as well as the instrument lights will stay on after turning off the car, removing key and locking it. Usually I flip the switch a few times and they'll go off and stay off. Today wasn't so easy. I'm guessing it's the switch but wanted to know if this is isolated case or more common before I take to Hyundai. The problem can't be "duplicated" when you want it to happen. Usually it's on colder mornings when coming to work.

I have a 2007 Sonata. The parking lights won't switch off without a turning the lights on and off for some time. Repeated attempts can turn them off, but you have to check the car in a hour to see if they have come back on. The dealer stated this was a known defect of the fuse box assy, but there is no recall. 800.00 repair according to the dealer.Without an alternative, I am considering ordering the assy and changing myself.
