Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Lights Stay On Even Engine Turned Off?
Whenever we come home at night, the headlights remain on for some period of time and then eventually shut off. Last night we came home and turned the car off but I was unloading for about 20 minutes and the headlamps never shut off. The only difference I can tell is that I had a door open the entire time while unloading. The only way to shut them off was to move the headlamp setting from AUTO to off. But when I cycled it back to AUTO, the lights didn't come back on. GX is normally driven with headlamp switch in AUTO mode.
Is there a way to change this setting? It's really annoying and unnecessary to leave the lights on for so long.

What would cause the interior lights and mirror lights to never turn off? Just started doing this? Also the radio is not working? All of this started today. It drained the battery and I had to jump it fir my wife after work. Is there a module or something that can go bad? After I turn the car off the "PARK" light in the Dash stays lit for about 6 seconds after all the other lights have turned off. Is this normal?
I will advise, I have the parking brake set to auto and the car seems to be functioning normally.

I have a 2013 elantra limited with the tech package. Today I discovered that my parking lights or headlamps stay on after the car is turned off and the vehicle is armed. The interior blue lighting ( gear selection, push start ignition button, a/c selections, Eco button etc. ) stays on as well. I checked the fuses, but couldn't find anything that pertains to the parking lamps.
I usually run my lights in the drl or headlights position as I lost the auto feature when I installed my H.I.D's. And they usually shut off after a good 15 seconds.
I installed a powered compact subwoofer today and initially wired it to the same battery terminal as the H.I.D.'s but now have switched to another terminal.
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Cabin Lights And Radio Will Stay On After Engine Turned Off
I have a 2011 Sonata Limited that now has 70k+ miles on it. For the past year I have been having a problem with the car turning off intermittently, it will occur at random times. I have had no issues starting the car whatsoever.
When I go to shut off my car the engine will turn off, but the cabin lights, and radio will stay on. The screen will also tell me to shift to park. Without turning the car fully on, I can shift the gears sometimes and I will shift it from drive to park again, and it still will not fully shut off. Today, it actually took 20 minutes to get it to go off - every time I hit the start/stop button I could hear it click as well, which was a new noise that I hadn't detected.
I have presented this problem to the dealership, but every time I do take it in the issue never seems to occur while there (just my luck) and they say they have "never heard of such an issue" to the point where I feel insane.
All recalls have been taken care of on my car at this point so I am not sure what the issue is, my fear is the switch is going out, but wouldn't I have the same issue starting the car?

I love this car- i just bought it , but it has one problem i cant figure out .The high beams didn't work at all -till my mechanic figured the prior owner took out the two fuses - now they stay on all the time - even when the car is turned off . So, driving home from the meet & greet in DC yesterday and when I turned on the headlights, the auto-leveling light came on. It randomly came and went for a bit but was on continuously by the time we got home. Headlights work and are at the correct height. Lights cycle up/down when the key is turned. Other than the warning light, it appears to be working normally.
Of note, this was the first time using the lights after the airbag actuator recall last week. Not sure how it could be connected unless it is a dash connection issue. If not,how to isolate if or which sensor is causing the issue?

why does it shut off radio before you open door? Can this be programmed so that when u turn engine off, radio stays on till driver door is opened? My wives Audi does this and is great for waiting at bank drive-up, or picking up someone.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 V8 that the gas cap and check engine lights will not stay off. The gas cap was replaced with a factory gas cap. Smoke and vacuum checks showed no leaks. The lights can be reset but after a couple of days first the gas cap then the check engine lights come back on. Disconnecting the battery did not work either.

I have 2007 Sonata GLS and have noticed on several (at least 6) occasions that the parking lights (front turn signal lamps and tail lights) as well as the instrument lights will stay on after turning off the car, removing key and locking it. Usually I flip the switch a few times and they'll go off and stay off. Today wasn't so easy. I'm guessing it's the switch but wanted to know if this is isolated case or more common before I take to Hyundai. The problem can't be "duplicated" when you want it to happen. Usually it's on colder mornings when coming to work.

I have a 2007 Sonata. The parking lights won't switch off without a turning the lights on and off for some time. Repeated attempts can turn them off, but you have to check the car in a hour to see if they have come back on. The dealer stated this was a known defect of the fuse box assy, but there is no recall. 800.00 repair according to the dealer.Without an alternative, I am considering ordering the assy and changing myself.
