2011 gti. I have about 5300 miles on it and it may be normal or have been doing this since it was new. I just noticed it today. When turning full radius in a parking lot I noticed that it sounded like the brakes were dragging. There is also a slight clicking noise. It does this both on left and right turns.

Slight squeal while steering the vehicle to the limit of it's turning radius? I've just begun to notice this recently on my 07 GX... mainly when I'm pulling into a parking spot at slow speeds. Is this normal or should I have it checked out at Lexus dealer?
View 3 RepliesFord Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2002 - Turning Radius Isn't Safe?
Just bought a 2002 F-250. Truck came with 18" Rims with 275/70/18 tires. The turning radius is awful, almost unsafe. The stock rim and tire size should be 16" rims with approximately 265/75/16 tires. Would the larger rims have that big of an effect on turning radius? I have owned two 2006 F-250's, and they turned nothing like this truck. I have not really gotten into the front end to see if the stops have been adjusted and/or if the tires are hitting.

View 14 RepliesGolf/GTI VI :: 2013 - GPS Screen Size Is Smaller Than Displayed
'm a former 2004 Jetta GLI owner...looking to get back into the game with a 2013 GTI. One thing I'm confused about is the GPS screen size. Many of the cars I've seen, including my friend's 2013 GLI has the RNS315 with a very small display. On the VW website it shows a much larger display in some of the photos, and I'm pretty sure I've seen a larger display on some of the GTI's I've seen in my neighborhood.
View 3 RepliesFord Excursion :: Radius Arm Bushings Replacement
I am in need of new radius arm bushings (both sides). How to be able to just unbolt the sway bar, unbolt the shocks, dismount the coil springs so they fall out to the sides and then drop the rear of the radius arms so they could press out the old bushings and insert the new? This is a 2WD and I think the process would be same for an F250 of the same year (2000 - 2004). The reason I ask is because I really, really don't want to have to get down to the king pin level and completely remove the radius arms if I don't have to.

View 13 RepliesChevrolet - Cavalier :: 2003 - How To Correct Computer If Smaller Sidewall Tires Are Put On
I have a 2003 cavalier ls, The tire size that is on it is 195-70r-14 I am thinking about getting tires which are 175-70r-14 because I was told that the smaller sidewall size would give better bottom end performance (0-40, 0-60, Which is what i'm looking for) However He also said that it would alter my speedometer rating, and the amount of mileage that is put on the car, That it would read that there are more miles on the car that I would actually be putting on. Is there a way to correct the sensor or device which reads the tire revolutions?

I'm new to the 2G and noticed a wheel shudder or jump when turning a tight circle in low temps? I'll try to list out all the info I can:
The shudder was exactly like a 4x4 vehicle in low range/diff-lock when turning on dry pavement.
Going straight or slight turns only, nothing noticeable. ( I was paying attention)
200k miles, just bought the car and haven't changed the WS atf yet.
Temps in the -25°C/-10°F range ....
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Mirror Swap To A Smaller Model?
I have a 2016 F250 XL and I want to put smaller outside rear view mirrors on her. I thought I can't be the first person to want to do this but repeated searches haven't turned up a bit of information.
I have the stock XL black plastic tow mirrors. They are manual extension and manual fold in. No heat, no lights, nothing. I want to go to a smaller, non-towing mirror like comes on stock F150's, chrome would be OK. In about 18 months I will want to go back to my trailer towing setup. I need to be narrow for a while.

View 6 RepliesPhaeton :: Clicking Sound Until Steering Turned Back From Its Maximum Radius
My sis drove the Phaeton yesterday and we had to go through some nerve-wrecking parking. The gaps were only a few milimetres across but luckily we made it through the lot in the end. Anyway, we had to do a lot of full steering turns (that is, when the wheel is turned to its maximum) and there's a worrying clicking sound that goes on until the steering is turned back from its maximum radius. Is it a problem or just a minor thing?
View 21 RepliesInfiniti - G35 :: Random Vibration When Driving Over A Smaller Version Of Rumble Strips On Side Of Road
My 2005 Infiniti G35 has 144,000 miles, two new rear tires and two good front tires. Sometimes, and I cannot nail down or reproduce-on-demand this situation, my car will suddenly begin to vibrate as if I'm driving over a smaller version of those rumble strips on the side of the road. The vibration continues when I take my foot off the accelerator, and will continue at a slower rate as I decelerate until I stop. Often it seems that when I come to a dead stop and accelerate again, the vibration stops, but other times it will continue as I accelerate.
But what's really odd is other times I'll just be cruising along and the vibration will begin, keep vibrating for a few miles, then peter out and disappear. I haven't totally nailed down whether or not braking affects it, but if pressed I would say that I would use the brakes at least once before it disappears. Also, it only seems to begin once I hit 50-60 mph, but again, it doesn't happen every time I go this speed. Other times this car drives incredible and makes the road feel as smooth as glass.
I haven't taken it to the shop because I'm sure they won't be able to reproduce it.

When I drive in a parking lot or parking garage and start off into a slow, tight corner, I feel a "surge". If I had a locked diff I would understand. I have a Haldex composition controller. I am not bothered about it...just wondering what it could be. Maybe the clutch slipping?? No evidence of that at full throttle acceleration runs in the higher gears.
