Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Oil Filter And Housing Did Not Match Stock
I bought a used 2006 F150 Lariat 4x4 (5.4L) and discovered that the oil filter and filter housing did not match stock. All web searches return the fram filter ph2 but the truck had the equivalent of ph10575. It was the right filter for the housing so it's not a case of someone putting the wrong filter on the truck. The ph10575 filter is for model years 2010 - 2013. Should I start investigating whether the engine had been replaced or is this normal?

i just got a 2008 FEH 100K paid 11500 out the door 12800 is that a good deal? everything is clean. It has the upgraded sound system but i noticed that some feh have the mpg displayed on the screen it look like the feh with navigation not sure if this is seperate from nav or just part of touch screen. in any case is it possible to just install the stock dvd/nav stereo to get the mpg avg screen? if so is ther a guide
also is there a good read around here for new feh owners? looking to get the most mpg out of this ride.
Golf IV R32 :: Too Many Things Won't Function In The Car
All of the following are not functioning when the car is turned on.
-Headlights-
-Turn Signals-
-Air conditioning, No air Flow
-Wipers-
-Heated Seats-
-Horn-
-High Beams**They do work when engaged manually and held**-
I took my R to the shop to try and get these issues fixed on 30/1/12. They spent an hour or 2 troubleshooting and patching up some things. The cars issues were now in working order and all the problems were resolved yay! What they fixed was a shorting in the wiring, replaced the headlight and horn relay and all was well.
I drove my car back home playing around with all the missed technology like.. turn signals etc.. It was amazing almost a new car experience. I park my car and cant wait to start up the next day when i have to go to work. The next day comes i start my car and... all hell has broke lose and all the issues are staring at me and laughing at 5:30am....I take my car to the shop again later that day and this time they check the power in the battery and its normal, and replace a blown out fuse *not sure which one*. After they did this lil fix up everything was functioning once again and I was not charged a dime so I'm a happy camper or so you would think.
The car is 100% stock besides some upgraded tires.
I have gathered that some parts might be needed to replace such as the Ignition Switch part #4B0905849 or a 7 pin connector part # 4A0971975, or maybe both need to be replaced.
Golf V R32 :: Can't Figure Out Aux Jack Function
So I am reading through my manual for my 3 day old non-nav R32. My dealer told me where the AUX jack is (I have a non iPod MP3 player), but I don't see anything in the manual about how I get it to work. Not that I have tried yet, I need to go and get a male-male stereo jack first. But I don't see any button on the non-nav stereo in the car that points to enabling the AUX jack.

Not sure if this is inherent to the exhaust setup on the R32, but had I noticed quite a bit of carbon build up on the driver's side tip versus the passenger side tip which was nearly clean.
This morning, I had it idling to warm up and with the exhaust vapor visible, there seemed to be about 3 times as much coming from the driver's side. Is this normal or should I get it checked out? I know that it's not gonna be exactly even, but it's exhausting probably 75% from one side...
Golf VI R :: Stock Suspension Is Squeaking At 45k
my (mostly) stock suspension is squeaking at 45k and overall is a bit louder than it was. I do have VWR F&R sways installed as well as the tyrolsport deadset subframe bolts, but everything else is stock. I was considering the VWR springs but have held off so far...
Objective: maintain ride comfort while getting better performance than stock. Ride comfort is key as I travel on quite a few harsh roads out here in the Northeast. I was fairly happy with stock as is was lower/stiffer than the stock GTI suspension that I was accustomed to. For the most part, I actually like the GTI's comfier ride better in commuting/road trip scenarios (which is the bulk of my driving). Bottom line, I want something durable, comfortable, and better handling than stock.
At 45k should I replace the struts as well?Could the squeaking be from something other than strut mounts? Are there coil-overs that would achieve my objective?

New GTI. I can manually put all 4 windows down and open the sunroof then get them all to CLOSE by holding the lock slot on the door but I simply cannot get them all to open at once holding down the driver window switch. I'm doing exactly what the manual states to do. With ignition off. But with power either on or off this doesn't work for me.

My question is concerning my AC not working. Is it possible that, since the two fans won't work at all, the AC system won't engage? Or do I have two completely unrelated problems?

OK, my stock exhaust would rattle when I shifted UP with the DSG, seems to be a fairly common thing. I got the EJ exhaust and it STILL does it on occasion, not as bad. Is there a loose heat shield or something? If I rev the car slowly while driving (not standing still) and get it to red line there is no metallic rattle. If I rev it fast and shift, it rattles

I installed my coil overs this weekend and it took some work to get my passenger side sway bar end link on. It was too short it seemed.the mod ts on the coil overs are I. The same place on both front coil overs. I had to put A LOT of force to get it on there. I'm wondering if other have had this issue and or what did you do? Is it putting a lot of stain on the sway bar or end link. By the way its the stock sway bar as well.
